They had a great meat sale going on which really helped with the way things are these days, employees was nice friendly and helpful

They have everything you need no matter what your looking for BUT they are a little pricey for our budget! If you have the rewards card so that every 50 you spend you get so much money off gas at their gas station, I've gotten over a dollar off a gallon and been able to fill my car up for seven bucks!!! They have great meat and we don't buy meat from save a lot or just anywhere!!! They have an amazing staff which is why I still shop here so much and they are my GO TO for emergency cakes, no matter the holiday!!

I'm from SC and have never been a fan of IGA until I moved to Hi Hat several months ago. This is a great little store within 10 miles of my home with the most friendly and helpful staff. I recently had surgery and cannot lift more than 10 lbs, the staff has no problem loading what I need into the buggy and into the car all while wearing a huge smile and a great attitude...I really appreciate that! Yes it's limited in selection and a little pricey but they have a great meat dept, the produce is fresh, the digital coupons help quite a bit and considering that the closest Super Wal-Mart is Paintsville or Pikeville, I have quickly become a fan of my McDowell IGA!!!

This place always has clean floors and stocked shelves of anything you need. The staff are very friendly and the deli food is top notch 👌

They are very expensive but it's a good store close to home way I look at it is you'll spend in gas what u would save going somewhere else....
