Cross Cruises

I have taken Cross Cruise shelling tour while visting marco island 2 times with my wife and 4 children. Captain is a very friendly person and very safe. He goes over all the necessary precautions beforehand. He explains so much of what you see while on his boat. He plays music if you'd like and his mates have been his older children for us which has been fun for our kids to experience. He can tell you a lot about each building, birds, fish and other interesting history about Marco. It's about 3 hours or so if i remember correctly and you get to swim to an island and walk around looking for shells. I'd highly recommend it if you have children.

Yesterday I took a shelling cruise with my sister, brother-in-law and my two children. This was my first cruise with Cross Cruises, but my sister and brother-in-law have been cruising with Capt. Hugh for over 15 years.

It was a great experience for my children and I. We had a lovely time with the Captain and his two older children who were his crew. They were extremely professional and knowledgeable. He gave us the interesting history behind the island we were shelling on.

I would highly recommend Cross Cruises if you are looking for a private or semi private cruise around Marco Island. I will definitely be reaching out to Capt. Hugh on my next trip to Marco Island!

What a great experience for my family! Took our 8 and 11.5 year old out with the Captain and his two teenagers. They were absolutely super and have a love for Marco Island! We learned a lot about this history of the island and he even turned the boat around to follow a school of dolphin. If you have a chance - TAKE THIS CRUISE! It was just incredible.

Captain Hugh, and Valerie were excellent hosts! The wonderful catamaran arrived on time at the JW Marriott to pick up my wife, and our two you children. They gave us a wonderful tour and stopped to allow us to go shelling on a sand bar. Highly recommend Cross Cruises!!

Absolutely clueless captian zero respect for others on the water! What an absolutely horrible human being had the nerve to run across our fishing line with a fish on! The captain saw his passengers were watching us in the middle of fighting a large fish. He proceeded to run over our line catching it in the prop, and then cut us off! He never apologized, instead he tried to intimidate by staring at us and made inappropriate hand gestures! until we asked him what the hell he was doing? He then mumbled some crap under his breath and proceeded to drop off his passengers right were we were fishing, when there was over a mile of beach to drop them off ! In 32 years of being on marco, I've never run into someone so careless and disrespectful of others! Please don't book with thiscompany, there are many other companies with captians who respect everyone on the water and don't feel entitled as if the own it!
