Downtown Cafe

Stopped in here for an early lunch while attending the Florida Bike Safari. Was not disappointed- great comfort food, good coffee, and friendly staff in a very relaxed atmosphere. Since I arrived right as they opened I had the entire place to myself, but I imagine this place is packed with locals after Sunday church or other more regular hours. An excellent local restaurant! 😎👍

So we did go again, closer to 12pm. Wow crowded. However, the food was delicious as before & the service was great.

I will say that you might have difficulty finding a table.

Some people though. We luckily found a table just vacated. There was a table that had a coffee & a laptop with someone's personal belongings. It sat vacant of anyone & no one else could use this table. Well about 45+ minutes after we had come in, this one guy who had been outside on his phone. We thought nothing of it. Well he came back in. Then sat at his computer working on whatever it was. They get busy & tables fill up plus you have table hogs.

There special was a Wardolf Wrap & tried their Potato Bacon soup. Both were delicious. They have a lot of baked goodies.

We hadn't been here before, we must change that. This place has good food. You can get freshly baked items, delicious soups & sandwiches. I decided to take a chance on their Reuben Sandwich & it is by far one of the best Reuben Sandwiches I have had in years. I was really impressed with their homemade soups & we were going to split a Blondie but took it home. I decided to try it & forgot to share it.

It is nice inside. We sat by the window & you can hear the traffic but it isn't so intrusive.

Actually the most bothersome noise was by another customer who just had to have a loud cell phone call.

This is a small restaurant, most of their business seems more take out. If you must take a call then go outside, esp when people can't hear each other over your obnoxiously loud phone call in such a small area.

We will be going again & they close early like 2:30pm.

We love this place. I need to take some pics.
I've had their Reuben, Pastrami, Cold Slaw. My wife loves their soups. The family that owns and runs it is super friendly. We love it after church on Sunday.

11/13/23 Awesome Rachel with potato salad, the wife and I both left very full, if you are a light eater you could split a sandwich as they are nice size portions and with a side and a half a sandwich both the wife and I are always full when we leave here. Never have had anything we didn't like. Great Pastrami Rubin, and the wife had a Regular Rubin... potato salad and Coleslaw are both good...and Sweet Tea.. Nice place to go to. 7/12/22 today I had a Reuben with Cole slaw it was even better than the conventional Reuben, Wife has the Philly cheese Steak,. today I ordered a Reuben with coleslaw and potato salad as my side Food was Excellent as usual .

The food was amazing.. I wasn't able to ever have a tuna fish sandwich like that in a very long time. The staff here are very helpful and knowledgeable and honest.. I totally recommend this place for a nice light lunch.. a great meet up place.. my husband loves the Ruben.. if I could I would say they deserve a A+.. we all understand that prices are expensive but you are getting the best with high-quality..

This is a quaint little sandwich shop. The sandwiches are always great. Small town shop that should not be over looked.

As always, the food was scrumptiously delicious! Mom had the Spaghetti special with blueberry cake and I had the Waldorf Chicken Salad on a grilled spinach wrap(has to be my favorite)!!♥

Best food since we have been here, and the ladies were really nice

“Hey Friend!” Was how I was first greeted my first visit almost a year ago. The way the owner said it she truly means it, it’s all about the tone! Food is always delicious my favorite is the Waldorf chicken salad on a croissant with the fruit cup! Keep up the great work!

Service is awesome and the staff are great! The place is always clean and they have the BEST chicken salad croissant sandwich and broccoli and cheese soup in town. Just wish they would be open later for dinner options.

Stephanie is such a sweet person. Food was fresh and tasted amazing. Loved the little town atmosphere of the cafe. 💖 Will definitely be back. ☺

Quaint cafe in Live Oak. Food was tasty. I think for the price of the Italian a little more meat and cheese would have been better. Good variety of salads, wraps, soup and coffee. I would eat there again and recommend to anyone visiting Live Oak.

Hidden in this small town is one of the premiere sandwich shops in the country. The Paris and The Brittanica are hands-down two of the best sandwiches you'll ever eat. I've been searching for a better sandwich shop in the US for 10 years and have yet to find one. I drive hours out of my way any time I have a chance to eat here. Unreal. Road-trip worthy.

My wife's favorite is the Waldorf Chicken Salad, on a Spinach Wrap with fruit. This is a Wednesday special, which means a free drink. I like their excellent soups with many good daily specials.

You have to stop here for lunch. don't look at the menu, just get the special with potato salad. If you do look at the menu you'll want every wrap on the list.

Good place for a nice and comfortable lunch. They offer an excellent sandwich called Chicken Waldorf Salad. Actually, we've always had great food no matter a sandwich....salad......or soup. Freindly staff.
