Hawaii Motel

This is a fantastic no frills motel. If you are looking for pools, free breakfast, fancy furniture etc you shouldn’t stop because you will complain. If you are looking for a VERY clean room with clean sheets etc and a safe place to stay this would be for you. The owners seem to be very conscientious about safety and comfort of their guests. Don’t plan on stopping by in the middle of the night. They want their current guests to get their rest. It even says so on their front window. The couple that own the motel are so friendly and we loved talking with them. The price we paid was worth the stay. ❤❤❤

No pool, no extras, it's a room, a fridge, a TV, and a bathroom. It's basic. If you need a room without the frills this is the place to go. It's clean, no bugs, rooms are serviced daily, and the owners are extremely nice. I would definitely go back especially for the price.

What a true gem of a motel and the wonderful family that runs it. Very personable and friendly greeting on our arrival after 17 hours on the road. Great location and close to restaurants and Interstate. Room was spotless and very comfortable. This is our new stop along the way when traveling down to Ft Lauderdale for cruises.

We had a great experience at Hawaii Motel! The owners went out of their way to make sure we had a comfortable stay. Room was clean, parking was easy and location was convenient. Would stay again!

Nice owners, clean rooms, cleaned daily stay here for about a month every year and I love it!!

After some very disappointing stays in big chain hotels y came across this little hotel with very good reviews and decided to give it a try. Is not in the tourist area and there are no places to eat nearby. But the place is incredibly clean (outside and in the rooms). The room is outdated but very big and everything is clean. Also, you do not see strange people around. The person in the front desk is very polite. I would stay in this place at any time.

If you are looking for a modern motel with lots of amenities, this is not your choice! It's an old jewel frozen in time. No frills motel as most might think of when they think of old movies. They even have an old neon sign up at the road (actually it is the only remaining neon sign on the road). It is family-operated and the owner is very nice. When we arrived we had a pleasant conversation with her.

Simple rooms, super clean and the bed was so comfy! Perfect for the budget traveler. We were about 8 mins from Daytona Beach (during non-busy times). Easy in/out, no hassle. Owners seemed friendly in my limited interactions. As others noted, the rooms are dated but it has it's own charm :)

Also grab coffee at the Java Express across the street, it was so good!

Edit to add: of the 3 different hotels we stayed in, this one was the cheapest/least fancy but BY FAR the comfiest bed.

Clean, bright and quiet. Room was large, which was a plus with a service dog. Very friendly and welcoming, and accommodated a very late check in. The neon hula girl on the sign is a Roadside America plus! Will definitely stay here again.

Retro style but cleaner than most “high end” or “recently renovated” hotels. Owner is super nice and helpful, bed is clean and cozy.

Very clean, quiet, safe, friendly staff, convenient location, amazing water pressure and well maintained basic motel room. The period construction of this motel kept us safe and secure during hurricane Nicole.

This is a great motel for the price, although you would not know it from looking at the neighborhood it is in. This hotel had amazing reviews for being clean, and we came on a weekend where there were not a lot of options. When we pulled up there were so many homeless hanging out, we started looking for somewhere to stay - but pretty much everything was sold out. So we had to stay here. Glad we did. The front desk was extremely nice and helpful. Had to get ice from the front desk (guests only). How clean the place was, is fantastic. Everything about the stay was great. Just do not leave any valuables in your car. Asked why they had such big old TV’s, and it is because if they have the newer LCD’s the rooms would be broken into and items stolen. Even though outside did not feel safe at all, inside the room felt plenty safe. This is a great mom and pop type motel.

Let me check in early. Room was clean and stocked well with towels and cups and soaps etc... they even left two rags "for cleaning bike" and a poster on the table since it's bike week. Very nice lady who checked me in. Located a block from a gas station and across the road from a coffee shop. Room is bigger than I expected. Reccomend it.

I am a germophobe and a stickler for cleanliness, and I must say....this motel is the cleanest motel that I've ever stayed in. Appliances and facilities seemed old but everything worked well...and it was clean. Also, the owners were nice in the couple of chats I had with them during my stay. I would stay here again based on my experience with this motel thus far.

Less a motel and more 50s museum. My room had American made twine chairs, as well as a nicely tiled bathroom. They use traditional keys 🔑 not fancy plastic cards. The clothespin for the curtains was a nice touch. A clean all-American motel!

We came to Daytona for the honor festival. This motel was handy. Park the car and walk to your door. No stairs or elevator. Beds are comfortable and pillows too. Large refrigerator was a bonus. We will be staying here again.

I had a great experience at this motel. Stayed one night. Bed was comfortable. Wifi was strong. And this motel here has the BEST SHOWER OVER EVER BEEN IN! If you love high water pressure ask for room 123. I have to figure out how to get my home shower this good. Great stay. Would def stay here again. Donut shop across the street is good too.

This place brings me back to the late 60s and 70s. Very nastalgic from the carpet to the bedspreads. Old light fixtures and very well maintained property. Very clean. I will be staying here again. Glad I found this one.

Motels are NOTORIOUS for uncleanliness and lacklustre customer service.
This motel, however, has far exceeded my expectations.

I have stayed in between 20-30 establishments this year alone ranging from 5-star resort to "roach motel", and in most every case you get what you pay for. I was a skeptic when I read the reviews online for this simple motel being nearly a 5 star review, but after staying here I can clearly see why.
I am now a believer- the Hawaii Motel has revamped my expectations of an inexpensive motel experience.

P.S. the microwave and mini fridge is a nice touch, and the water pressure in the shower is out of this world lol.
