Long John Silver's | A&W (32050)

From reading past reviews, I came with low expectations. What I found was a Clean, friendly, energetic and well seasoned restaurant. There was a fun mix of music coming from the back as well as some talented back-up vocals to boot. Happy employees reflected in the food for sure!
This location is also an A&W Rootbeer stand!
Always a plus!

We almost missed a great place. (Shhh don't tell my doctor 😉) the other reviews were not kind. We had a fresh hot mountain of food with friendly service and everything we asked for when our food was sent out. They have a juke box.❣ I'm glad mom and I got to enjoy the experience. P. S. The restroom was very clean❣

Staff was amazing, the woman working the register was so kind to my two kids and we all had a great time. The burger and cheese curds were great too! Honestly one of the best fast food experiences I have ever had because the staff was so kind (and fresh A&W is hard to beat). Don't think I have ever reviewed a fast food location before, but it was really wonderful.

An excellent meal!

It'd be great if Jacksonville had a Long John Silver's, but after our experience here in Daytona we'll gladly make the trip again. When we walked in, I immediately took note of how orderly the restaurant was, then how clean it looked. Tables were spotless, condiment/drink area was orderly and stocked full, and after a short road trip we found the bathrooms were immaculate. Even my daughter commented on how clean the bathrooms were. Ordering was a breeze as 2 wonderful ladies helped us along with any questions. They also brought our order to our table, and asked if we needed anything else. Can't say enough nice things about them, they did all of this with a smile. To top it off the food was delicious, better even than we were expecting. Batter fried fish & chicken were cooked perfectly, not overdone but steaming juicy and flaked easily, coleslaw was freshly made & crisp. As for ambiance, a large TV showed a playoff football game, there's a free play jukebox and overall the decor was updated recently and kept nice.

Kind of bummed that you have to pay for the crunchies now. The fish was good the hush puppies were good. The shrimp was a bit spicy tasty. We had a good meal. The staff was very friendly.

The manager there is so friendly and funny. Always has us laughing when we go there. She still has a smile on her face when she is busy and short staffed plus training someone new. The food is ALWAYS good. Never had a bad meal from here yet and hope to never have that happen.

I got a togo dinner family meal. I love long John's batter and I try to go everytime I see one around. We got the food pretty fast and were on our way to our hotel quickly. It was delicious! I hope this restaurant chain never closes down.

It had been a very long time since I had ate Long John Sliver's. The food was just like I remember when I was a little girl. I only complaint I have is they NO longer serve Grilled food so I won't be returning because I can't have Fried Foods. Bu I appreciate the two young that went out there way to find something for me to eat there.

Great service from the cashier and kitchen staff.

Don't be fooled by it's outdated building and ghastly claustrophobic interior this place is wonderful little surprise. No they aren't gormet chefs, but they are hard working and although the workers were inexperienced and over worked our food came out and was wonderful. The cheese curds were tasty and the fries were fresh and seasoned.

Good food, prepared well, served hot. If you want long John silver's, it's long John silver's. It's an old location, somewhat dilapidated, but that doesn't subtract from how good the food is. Employees are always nice, and the freshly prepared A&W root beer is delicious.

The staff here is always very friendly and the food is always fresh and HOT! This place is 45 minutes from home and we try to visit whenever we are in S. Daytona. Swing by, say hi, and have some yummy food.

I will forever love LJS and I am not apologetic about it. The battered chicken is so good. I have been patronizing this location for 25+ years and while it is in dire need of a remodel, it is still cranking out the best fast food in the area, in my opinion.

There are none left where I live! I was happy to see one , I have not had long John's in over a year! It was very good 🙂 I hope they stay open why are they disappearing? Yes its fried, but everything in moderation . Go have long John's today 🥰

Food was good as always, cashier was unpleasant. I asked her what type of sauce came on a particular burger, she choose to tell me she didn't know because she doesn't eat burgers. How rude! Luckily the food made up for it.

I have noticed a little to much salt used on fries and fish when I order take out, but all in all still EXCELLENT FOOD.

This place has 10 times better chicken than KFC. That shouldn't be possible but this place has amazing chicken strips. And they're fish planks are also absolutely amazing. Pure white tempura battered fish planks. Better than any English pub that I've been in for sure.

Good and Customer service amazing!! We had a big order at the drive through.. the guy was patient and very nice!!! Food was hot and fresh!! We were very happy!!

It's very good! They make all the food cooked to order period. So it's fresh and hot and the owner there is the nicest gentleman!

What's not to like the fish is always perfect. The chicken planks are great as well. The employees always make sure you are happy with your meal! Best thing is A&W Rootbeer.
