My wife and I just got back from staying at Long Ridge for 2 nights. We came to Hiwassee for the Georgia Mountain Fair and selected this campground as a second pick because the Fairgrounds campground was full when we made reservations. I am so glad we ended up at Long Ridge. It is so quiet and relaxing there. The campground is very clean as well as the bath facilities. The staff is super friendly and always welling to help. We will definitely add this to our list to return to.

Great campground. The feel of being away from it all, without being far away from town. Quiet; clean bathrooms. Camp hosts/managers very helpful and friendly. Highly recommend, the area is beautiful.

The area was very pretty with a creek next to the campground. The bathrooms were very clean and like fancy porta-potties! The showers were very high-quality although I only went to check them and didn't use them. Lastly, the people running the place were very nice, friendly, and hospitable. Nothing to complain about!

Beautiful, quiet campground close to town and the host are very friendly and helpful.
The only thing that could make it better would be a sign on the opposite side of the road so you could see it! We throughly enjoyed our weekend stay. Will definitely come again.

Wonderful place! We tent camped during the fair, and this place was so great. The staff was very nice and attentive. The site was great, shaded, clean and camping next to the creek was a plus! Will definitely visit here again.

We had a wonderful camping here! Doug and Randy greeted us when we pulled in and everyone was very friendly. The campsite was roughly 20-40 minutes from other cities “Helen, Blairsville, Cleveland, Clarksville” etc so not a bad drive. We did tent camping and we were able to purchase firewood from the campground. The closest store that we saw was Dollar General but there’s an Ingles not too far away. Walmart was a longer drive. It was a great time and the bathrooms were clean. If you tent camp, definitely prepare for ants. Would definitely stay here again!

We just got home from tent camping the last 2 nights, and we could not of loved our time more!! This is the BEST campground we have ever been to. We camped at T3 with 2 little boys, and having the creek right there was AMAZING! The boys had so much fun playing in it, and we loved the calming sounds at night! The camp hosts, Cindy and Doug, were outstanding! They were both so accommodating, personable, and made you feel like family!!! The complimentary, daily trash pickup was convenient and helpful, and they even gave us some butter when we forgot to pack some! The only thing that could make this place better would be a playground, but we did have fun trying our hands at fishing in the stocked catch and release pond using the provided fishing poles! We have decided this is our new family camping destination, and can't wait to go back this summer!

We enjoyed our time at Long Ridge Campground so much. It is a beautiful campground. Camp hosts Doug and Cindy, joined by Len and Deborah, were welcoming and friendly. Doug works hard at maintaining and beautifying the place with well-placed flower arrangements. He is probably the hardest-working camp host we’ve met. Deborah recommended a nearby clean laundromat for us. Doug told us that Long Ridge plans to have an onsite laundromat by the end of the year.
Be aware that the road in and out of the campground, though generally not busy, is very narrow. Our site, #16, was quite unlevel if we backed straight in, but when we parked at an angle we were only off by two inches.
The park has regular visits by deer, and there is a pond with catch-and-release fishing. The creek in the park provided a peaceful, soothing sound. I would definitely stay here again.

A gem of a campground in Hiawasse, GA. Quiet small campground tucked back the woods. Close to Helen, day hikes and the Georgia Mountain Fair. Camp host are friendly and very helpful.

Absolutely the quietest, most tranquil camping trip I have ever had! The location is convenient to town and so many other attractions, yet you feel like you’re tucked safely away in nature. The creek is beautiful! I found myself gravitating towards that area daily on my walks, just to see the deer, flowers, and to enjoy the soothing sounds of the flowing water.
We were on site 20, which is a pull-though, so setting up was a breeze! The lots are compromised of larger gravel, which I was very appreciative of, because it can’t be tracked into the camper (a pet peeve of mine). The wi-if worked great, so my eldest daughter was able to keep up with her online college classes! Camp hosts, Doug & Cindy, were very friendly and helpful. And BTW, Doug makes daily rounds to pick up your trash! What? We’ve always had to haul it off ourselves!
We’ll definitely return in the future!

Stayed 2 nights to hike in the nearby area. The check-in was simple and easy. I was able to request a later check out due to hiking the morning of departure and was able to go hike then come back and take down my tent. The owners were super nice, campsite was spacious and bathhouse was extremely clean and very nice. If you're in the area I'd recommend checking this campground out.

Wonderful campground nestled in the North Georgia Mountains. Overall very neat and orderly. Beautiful Lake Chatuge is less than 10 minutes, offering exceptional fishing and hiking opportunities. Hosts go above and beyond to ensure a great stay. Highly recommended for anyone passing through or looking for a getaway.

We had such a wonderful weekend of camping at Long Ridge campground. The hosts were super warm and inviting, and the facilities were very clean and well stocked. We camped at T4 and enjoyed playing in the creek and spotting frogs and crayfish. Look no further for an excellent place to stay. With a fish pond on the property and nearby Lake Chatuge, there is much to do and see.

This campground is stunning! The hosts are so kind and helpful. We camped in our 1960 Shasta, right on the pond. Myself and five kids and we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Looking forward to going again!

We tent camped here for 2 nights with 2 little boys. The hosts were the nicest people and incredibly welcoming and accommodating and did everything they could to make it a pleasurable experience. We could not have been happier! The site was beautiful and we got to listen to the babbling creek all night. We had a blast splashing in the creek, exploring, and fishing. We will definitely be coming back!!

We really enjoyed our stay at this very new looking campground. Since we needed no hookups we were able to park our RV in the tent camping area next to a bubbling stream. It was an awesome night to sit around the fire and listen to the water rolling over the rocks. The host are very nice and came by to check on us that evening. You can fish in the small pond and hike the area. We plan to come again.

Long Ridge Campground
We just stayed here for a week , nestled in the North Georgia Mountain town of Hiawassee. This campground was a wonderful experience, owners Lynn and Randy do an amazing job of managing the grounds . Beautifuly maintained landscape, clean bath houses, a great management team to greet you and they all continue to check that everyone has what they need during your stay.
The area is just packed with activities like hiking, fishing, scenic views, shopping all close by.
The town of Hiawassee is a 5 minute drive to go to restaurants or just get and supplies.
Planning a trip to the mountains check out Long Ridge you will not be disappointed.
