Windsor Hotel, Ascend Hotel Collection

I loved this hotel. It is a Victorian hotel. The rooms were large, beautiful, so affordable. The restaurant was so good. Service was spot on.

Really cool, old hotel in downtown Americus. The floors were a little uneven due to the age, but expected in older buildings. Cool balconies and outdoor seating areas. Had a restaurant and a wine tasting room.

Great spot. Old charm. Rooms are nice and clean and the atmosphere of the place is really neat. Has a nice upstairs kindA rooftop bar. If I the area and want something a little different this is it

We stayed at the Windsor while we were in town for a wedding. We have never been to the area before. This hotel was beautiful and right in the heart of downtown Americus. It was close to the wedding venue as well. The staff were so kind upon check in and check out. The rooms were clean and so nice. The bed was so comfortable and so were the pillows. If we are ever back in town, we will absolutely be staying at the Windsor.

My friends and I stayed at The Windsor in Americus GA specifically because we'd heard the hotel was haunted. We are interested in ghosts and thought we'd check it out as a weekend trip the four of us. As soon as we walked in this hotel and staff surpassed expectations. We rolled in late Friday night and the young girl at the front desk was more than happy to tell us all about her ghost experiences when we said why we'd come. Her enthusiasm was found in ALL of the staff members throughout our stay.

Anytime we spoke to anyone: front desk, maid, bartender, wait staff it didn't matter, everyone was more than happy to share stories with us and tell us the history behind the hotel. David in particular at the front desk was enthusiastic, and eager to tell us about the hotel's ghosts. He had fantastic stories to share and when we were disappointed to hear that there were no longer ghost/history tours being offered, he went out of his way to print us up the tour on paper so we could go to each location ourselves as a self-tour and learn about the hotel.

My friends and I didn't catch any ghosts or have a supernatural experience the two nights we stayed, but we had so much fun at such a unique, historic, building and with such an enthusiastic friendly staff that we weren't even that disappointed. What a wonderful stay!

Off the beaten path of an increasingly standardized hotel monoculture of some large chains, there is fortunately always a pleasant surprise, both in historical and architectural terms.

This hotel exudes the ephemeral charm of North America, for it is in the history of a house built around 1890 that it cannot be state of the art. Neither in terms of equipment, nor in the state of renovation. But that is exactly what makes an overnight stay so unique.

History to touch, unique loving furnishings, good beds, nice staff and still the possibility to meet maybe three ghosts.

This is such a wonderful place to stay. Im glad that I had the opportunity to visit such a unique and historic place. Everyone here is so friendly and helpful. The room was nicely appointed and clean. I will most likely be staying here again in the future.

Lovely hotel. Lovely room. Food in hotel restaurants was good. Lots of history if you take the time to explore.

This place is amazing. What an incredible piece of history that is preserved beautifully!
One can't help but think of all of the events/memories/stories that have been made at this place.
The staff was super friendly and made sure that we had everything we needed. They also seem to take great pride in the hotel, which is exactly the kind of people a beautiful place like this deserves.
We would definitely stay here again!

Have stayed at the Windsor Hotel in Americus, GA, numerous times. The Beautiful Historic Hotel has great atmosphere. Was here last night, August 7, 2023.
The staff members are awesome and I love the rooms.
When you come, try the Rosemary and Thyme's Restaurant. The food is delicious.

Grand historic hotel. Very extravagant place to enjoy a nice glass of wine and chat with some old friends. The features of this place are amazing and every little detail in it replicates what it would look like in the past. Very nice staff and helped me with everything I needed and made sure I was satisfied. Definitely will stay here in the near future.

The indoor dining was some of the best. The Salmon was fresh and perfect. Very reasonably priced.

This is an excellent display of what a Victorian hotel of the late 1800s would look like. We throughly enjoyed our stay. We wish there were more restaurants to choose from.

Wonderful refurbished classic..... Just passing thru... Tough to find a cup of coffee in the morning anywhere nearby.... There's a cafe attached but was closed.... Some stuff opens after 11....

This is a great and quaint old hotel!!! It is worth staying in and definitely is very romantic!!! Loved staying here and want to get back as soon as possible!!! This is a must stay if you are in the area!!! I love keeping old historical places like this alive!!! Check it out for sure!!!

It is a step back in time with real wood floors. Staff is the best, housekeeping is precious.

This place is gorgeous! I was hoping to see or hear a ghost. But, instead, I slept like a baby! If the haunting here is getting a great night's sleep, then I am down for a good haunting every day! You MUST check out this amazing, historic hotel!

Beautifully decorated historic hotel. Two restaurants on site, friendly staff, convenient parking, and relaxing third floor porch. Not many shops open when we were there but make sure to check out The Maze located one street over for cute home and decor items. We watched fireworks at Lake Blackshear and visited Providence Canyon State Park while there.

Located on Historic Americus GA the Windsor Hotel was a pleasure to stay and eat at. Great room service and great food and great hotel staff.
