Filé Steakhouse and Oyster Bar

Loved the restaurant the food was delicious and fresh I'm not sure if they serve grill as an option because I wanted grilled oysters and they gave me fried but the appetizer has a grilled item

We came into the restaurant for supper on Friday night. We had 11 people in our party. We were seated right away and had great service from our waitress. The food came out quickly and it was a good meal.

I just had lunch for the first time at the Leigh and let me tell you the food there is fantastic. I had the catfish plate and there was more than I could possibly eat for a lunchtime meal so I had to go box and I have enough catfish and fries left over for supper. the only issue I had is the restaurant is a little dark and could use a little more lighting. Other than that go try there catfish plate

Great oysters and very fresh food

This place is amazing! The food was great as well as the service! I had the catfish Acadiana and husband had the steak it was awesome !

The best fried catfish, grilled redfish, file steaks, grilled oysters, and beer around. A wonderful local spot better than any other steak joint around. The owners and staff never disappoint. Space for groups and a bar area for games. This is a must stop place if you drive through Winnsboro on 15. Also the only place that brings my steak out exactly how I like it, still mooing.

I typically go on my lunch and have their jumping jack oysters and they’re sooo delicious. I also love the lunch plate specials and their fish is so good. As far as the drinks they’re not too strong like they’re just right. The staff is always friendly as well as the restaurant clean.

THE ONLY Place in the ENTIRE 425 Corridor of NE Rural Louisanna that you would want to go for a Higher End Meal within 50 Miles Trust That! Thursday Lunch - Saturday Dinner. Owner and Family are hands-on.

Outside of those hours Smokers Paradise Smoked Meats for Lunch, Cowboys or Shay's B, L Dinner, or Popeyes. In that Order!

Other than that keep driving to Natchez or Monroe to Ronin, Cotton, or Parish in that order too.

It was simply outstanding! Fried and grilled shrimp were perfect, as was the steak and side's. We will be eating there regularly.

It was a little chilling in there tonight are I would have given them 5 stars. The food was great, we have five fried catfish fried shrimp grilled shrimp and as an appetizer the jumping jack oysters everything was delicious and cook perfect

I have eaten here since they opened . Awesome food and service . Really enjoy visiting File . Nice to have a place like this close to home .

Stopped in for a drink(only bar top for thirty miles😉) and ended up having a snack. Gumbo and sautéed green beans. Nice and spicy. Lovely staff and a comfortable space. Cheers, y’all.

I've been there three times in the past month. The steaks are great: cooked and seasoned perfectly. The house pepper jelly dressing is wonderful on salads. The fish is always great. The fried green tomatoes are to die for. Service is fast and nice.

It's pricey, but worth it. Best place to eat in Winnsboro. Highly recommend.

Excellent fried, grilled, and raw seafood. Green beans were seasoned to be tasty but not overpowering. Great hushpuppies and bread. Good and plenty sauces and dressings. Generous servings. Server was attentive, friendly, and patient. Prices reasonable for the quality.

I really enjoy eating here. The owners are wonderful people. The wait staff do their best to make sure you're well taken care of. It gets PRETTY crowded in there, but the food is amazing! If you're passing through during their open hours, it's definitely worth the stop!

The food was great. Nice ambience to the place. Our waiter was super friendly and efficient.

My daughter spilt a drink on the table. The waiter was quick to clean everything up and bring a fresh drink. Two other staff members chipped in to help her. All 3 was very friendly during the whole ordeal.

Yall, I be so miserable after eating from here!!! Just put it like this, I'm going to be fatter and broker if i keep eating here🤣. The staff is ridiculous cause the are sooo nice!!! Keep up the good work cause I might have to file' this company on my taxes- cause I'm definitely gonna spend my cash with them.🤣

Best place to eat. My husband and I stop every time we pass through Winnsboro. We both get a plate and have so much food left, we have a whole plate for later. Love the waitresses and always get bread pudding to go.
