Childers Grocery and Deli

My wife and I stayed at Carter's Plantation this past weekend, in for a wedding. Childers was a fantastic find!!! Had coffee and breakfast there on Saturday and Sunday. Locals place that makes ya feel welcomed. Eggs, Bacon, Grits, Biscuits and Gravy. Perfect!!

This place is a hidden gem!!! The workers are friendly, down to earth good people. The daily specials are huge! And delicious. You definitely do not need to reach for the salt and pepper...everything is seasoned perfectly!!! If you are near Springfield/Holden LA stop on in. You won't leave hungry.

When I first moved to Springfield I was skeptical of small town gas stations/diners. But this place has THE best cheeseburgers ever. They serve way more than I would've expected. The staff is always super friendly and the food is always great.

Childers grocery is hands down the best place to eat in the parish alone! I remember being pregnant in 2013-2014 and I refused to eat anywhere other than Childers! They aren’t just a place you can go to eat some amazing food though, it’s a great place to feel comfortable and like ur wanted to return! It’s friendly, comforting and the people are genuine and worship god so much that when u walk in the store u can feel the presence of the lord! It’s unexplainable the way this store can make a person feel! There’s no doubt that when u visit Childers grocery, you will not be unsatisfied! It’s almost like going to grandmas and being in grandmas kitchen eating again like we was little kids all over again!

I have never been disappointed with ANYTHING I have ever ordered from Childers always fresh and hot my family loves everything they have to offer especially the Cheeseburger and 🍟.. keep up the good work we love y'all 😍

Close to Tickfaw State Park. Awesome daily lunches and the best banana pudding I’ve ever had in my 62 years of life!
