Keith Young's Steakhouse

This was our first visit and it certainly won't be the last. The excellent meal was only outdone by the superior service!!!! You just do not get service like that anymore ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

October 11th I treated myself to lunch there on a beautiful Wednesday afternoon and I celebrated it was the first time we've had rain in 2 months.
I enjoyed the delicious thin crispy fried chicken with the delicious seafood stuff bell pepper and a nice savory Hendricks dirty martini.

August 1st, 2023.
We had an awesome dinner. We had a lot to celebrate. To our surprise, there was a new special. Seafood Crepes. Tender lobster bits and scallops and light, very light and perfect creme sauce draped over a super thin and savory crepe. It was so delicate. Divine. I had it with a delicious steak. So very moist and tender. Hubs had a perfectly glazed and broiled red-fish.

Thanks to Ms. Francis for the great service. She was very busy this night.

Keep the crepes as an occasional basis.

July 26th.
We enjoyed martinis and wine at the bar.
Again, Devon was a great server. Mr. Austin was as good as the server back.

As of June 2023, the bar and dining rooms are packed.
Great crowds. Good menu at the bar. Happy hour and bar bites menu.

Mr. Evan was our server this oast week.

May 3rd, 2023..

I was having a wonderful day. A wonderful week. I treated myself to kieth Youngs today. The broiled redfish topped with ctabmeat with a side of fresh steamed string beans was on my pallette today.. I started my meal with jumbo collassal shrimp romelouad and a lemon drop martini.. So delisious.. A true comfort food for a sophisticated gentleman. Or lady.

I ended the meal with a pause and the resumed with a finish of strong coffee and a thin slice of Key Lime Pie..

Today, I had the delicious super extra crispy, thin cut catfish and the delicious. Cajun stuffed bell pepper and a delicious cold Hendrics gin martini.

February 23rd, 2023.
Delightful day. We lunched on the outside patio. Beautiful. The sound of the water cascading from the tall tiered fountain made the martinis and bloody Mary's Delightful. The ahi tuna salads and shrimp 🍤 cocktail were delicious.

As of January 20th, 2023., it is better than awesome.
The fun energy there is great. The thin and crispy fish is wonderful.
Mr. JEORGE is a true maestro.
All the staff is fun and brilliant.
They remember every detail.

Great place for Kentucky Derby. We found a great staff person. Ashley. She works here. It was so great to sit at the bar and have a drink and nibbly things.

Everything was wonderful. My husband and I were welcomed by very pleasant staff and background music. Each item we ordered was delightful. For my appetizer, I tried their Stuffed Mushrooms. They were the best I've ever eaten, and that says a lot. For my entrée, I had the Petite Filet topped with crab meat and mushrooms. My steak was cooked to absolute perfection. Although the steak needed nary accompaniment, the crab and mushroom paired so well with it that I wouldn't have it any other way. For dessert, I chose the bread pudding. It too was amazing. We ended our meal with their house champagne at our waiter's (Jacob) suggestion. Whether you are a champagne drinker or not, I guarantee you will love it.

Nice place. Food was excellent. Service was impeccable. Similarly priced to Flemings and similar places. Very dark at first, but you get used to it. Eggplant Napoleon was outstanding.

We visited for our anniversary. The steak was one of the best I've ever had. I had a butterfly filet. It was perfectly cooked. The turtle soup was delightful. I definitely recommend saving room for dessert because the chocolate mousse was amazing. We will be back. The wait staff heard me say I wanted to try the soup, so they brought out a taste sample. We were also served complimentary champagne to celebrate our anniversary. If you are looking for an upscale dinner, you should consider this. Ask for Skylar as your waiter.

We always sit at the bar and have a great time! Great food and Great drinks are what you should expect, and Keith Young’s delivers with consistency and style.

We love the classic bar and great bartenders at Keith Young’s. Their menu is filled with seafood choices and they have one of the top soft shell crabs on the Northshore. Always ask for this dish, not on the menu.

The duck egg rolls are a unique twist on the classic. Plenty of duck in the roll and a sweet and spicy sauce accompanied the appetizer.

The fried oyster appetizer is delicious. Flash fried oyster over a bed of spinach and a sweet/spicy jam.

Great service and a fantastic happy hour.

All around amazing. The food and service are always 10/10. You can never go wrong with their redfish or steak.

We completely enjoyed our experience at Keith Young’s Steakhouse.

I made a last minute reservation through Open Table. We arrived a few minutes early and were promptly seated. Our waiter arrived shortly afterward and began walking us through the menu. Fresh, hot bread was served while we considered our initial selections.

The wine selection was really good. In particular, there is a great selection of reds and whiskeys.

For starters, we enjoyed the calamari and the tomato soup. The soup was particularly interesting as it was not acidic and had a nice roasted tomato flavor.

For entrees, we had redfish, paneed veal, and crab meat au gratin. The redfish was very fresh. The crab topping and sauce complemented the fish well. The fish was cooked and seasoned perfectly. The crab and veal dishes were enjoyed. The veal portion was substantial. We added a side broiled tomatoes. They were topped with parmesan and crustini crumbs, which paired nicely with the fish.

For dessert, we had bread pudding, raspberry sorbet, and chocolate mousse. The sorbet had an incredible intense raspberry flavor- very good. The bread pudding was decadent, and the mousse was sweet and creamy.

The service was top-notch. Our waiter was friendly and informative. The supposing staff ensured our waters were always filled and that the table was uncluttered. The owner walked around and met with us as we finished up - he was very nice and personable. The maitre d’ even remembered to wish me a happy birthday as we exited, which underscored the extraordinary attention to detail.

This is definitely one of the best restaurants on the Northshore.

Went for a soccer mom luncheon. The food, atmosphere, and service were amazing. Jacob was our server. He was very attentive and took great care of everyone. Thank you!

It was my 77th Birthday and so I suggested this wonderful steakhouse. I cannot express the joy I felt from time I walked in to the time I walked out. I have enjoyed Keith Young,$ many times but it was my husband’s first time. The food was beyond awesome, while the staff was attentive to us all evening. Shout out to Sarah, our server, and to “AA6” our bar server. We WILL be back. Thank you for making my night so special.

Last night me and my wife were celebrating our anniversary and decided to go out to dinner. We want a place we had never been to before. We decided on Keith Young’s Steakhouse in Madisonville. This ended up being one of the best decisions we have made over the 56 years of marriage.

Our positive experience started with the friendly greeting as we walked in the door and the perfect atmosphere. This continued with ever one of the staff we encountered during our stay. Our server, Ms. Kayland, went well above what one would expect even at the best restaurant. She was so enjoyable, pleasant, and helpful in choosing our meal.

I cannot say enough about the person that prepared our meal. We had the 6 oz. filet with seafood crape. The steak was outstanding and prepared perfectly as was the seafood crape. The steak was the best I can remember having at any of the top restaurants we have visited. At the end of the meal, we were served a fresh brewed cup of coffee that completed the wonderful experience.

I would rate this restaurant better than a five star if it was possible and recommend it to anyone look to have one of the most enjoyable experiences at a restaurant.

100 percent gold! You will never be disappointed. The staff is unbelievable. The atmosphere is fantastic. Top shelf all the way around. Bravo

The whole experience was amazing. The only downside was we got put in a room where they were having a large birthday party and the Billy Nungesser (Go Billy!!!) watch party was also happening, so it was kind of busy and loud. The quality of the food and service more than offset that minor inconvenience. I've traveled around the country in my life and Keith Young's is definitely in my top five Nationwide.

Dinning how it should be. Worth the dive from Baton Rouge. Celebrate any occasion with excellent food, drink, atmosphere and 5 star service.

Came here 11/2022 after our small and intimate wedding, and for our first wedding anniversary in 11/2023. The food and service was impeccable both visits.

Had a wonderful dining experience with a party of 10 recently. Filets were cooked perfectly to order. All side dishes were excellent. Our waiter, Keith Nobles did a great job plating everything as we had a number of shared entrees! He was so friendly and was extremely accommodating!
Great place also for happy hour! Love the drink specials and small plates. Definitely a fave of ours!

Simply amazing! Bartender recommended a great Red wine and poured a perfectly mixed crown and coke while we waited for our table since we arrived a tad early, then was a fun guy to chat with. Once we were seated we ordered crab cakes and stuffed mushrooms for apps. Crab cakes were lightly battered and crispy on the outside and filled with plenty of delicious lump crab meat. The mushrooms were stuffed with a seafood mixture, topped with a wonderful cream sauce. For the main course we chose the lobster special which was offered to be peeled for us also, and we both added 6oz petit filets topped with crab meat and mushrooms. The lobster was sweet and succulent and the filets were cooked to a perfect medium. My wife also ordered a dirty vodka martini that was one of the best we've ever tasted.

These people know food and every time we've come here we've always had an amazing dining experience. Their staff knows service and are the best at it. They make you feel like a table of old friends and not just a table of customers.

Service was excellent. My burger ($15) and iced tea were good. The coffee is an extreme dark roast, if you're into that.
The inside is dark and a little gloomy for lunch.

Keith's is consistently excellent. The steaks are cooked perfectly. The sides are always delicious. I have had quite a few items on the menu, and you can trust anything to be delicious.
