Sail Selina II

My husband and I traveled to St. Michael’s MD for the first time to celebrate our 25th anniversary. Of course a tropical storm whipped up the coast making it a fairly wet and windy weekend. The skies and water just happened to calm down before setting sail on a two hour sunset and champagne tour of the bay on the beautiful Selina II! Captain Iris and the First Mate were extremely knowledgeable, welcoming, and hospitable. This was a very intimate and relaxing evening, and we made the best out of it considering the weather. We will most definitely book another adventure on Sail Selina II in the near future!

We had a fantastic time with Captain Iris and crew during our sunset cruise. She is so knowledgeable and personable - a wealth of information and so much fun to talk to. We had a great time hanging out with our fellow passengers. The "light show" in the clouds on the horizon was absolutely spectacular.
You must go and take this cruise!

We had a wonderful experience sailing today with Sail Selina II. The boat was beautiful, the Captain was very friendly and informative, and it was a nice, serene trip. I highly recommend!

As always Sail Selina II was just a pleasant experience. Our captain was extremely accommodating and told us stories about the Chesapeake, Saint Michaels and the surrounding landmarks. We had a beautiful sunny day, even though we were expecting rain. This is our second time on the Selina in the autumn and we are looking forward to coming back in the Spring and Summer.

We had the best time sailing aboard the Selina II! The experience felt more private than most sailing charters and very relaxed. Captain Iris was kind and incredibly knowledgeable about the local waterways. We knew we were in good hands!

Me and hubby celebrated our one year anniversary aboard this beautiful vessel. It was the perfect choice for us being first time sailboat passengers. Captain Iris( love her)fierce, smart, bold, engaging and attentive to her passengers and the needs of the sailboat simultaneously. Her clever good natured banter, and knowledge of facts, and folklore of St. Michael's history was fun and we laughed out loud! Gavin the first mate, was a sweetheart. Gently polishing, and buffing Selina II pronounced ( Sa-lie-na) adding his touch to our wonderful conversation. Experience the Selina. You will love it! Meeting Captain Iris alone is worth this trip. I admire strong woman who are confident, and hold their own! Don't let her appearance fool you. She is a force worthy of the power and legacy of this jewel on the bay!

Sailing on the Selina II was wonderful. The crew is friendly, knowledgeable and skilled. The boat is absolutely beautiful. I did the optional wine tasting which was fun. Captain Iris has been sailing for many years and makes sure every detail is perfect. Highly recommend!

Captain Iris, Captain of Selina II, is the most knowledgeable guide and ship's Captain we have encountered throughout our travels. The Selina II is a beautiful masterpiece of workmanship and design. It was a pleasure sailing with this ship and her crew. You will enjoy it.....no doubt.

Iris was a fountain of information on the beautifully maintained cat boat that was built in the 1920’s. The weather was spectacular and the other couples were celebrating various anniversaries.

I chose the Moonlight sail and loved it! Iris, our captain and boat owner, was a great sailor, guide and hostess. She entertained us with a variety of information about the boat, history, sailing and other topics. The sailboat was immaculate and impressive. We were offered champagne, wine, beer, soda or water which was included with the trip. I enjoyed sailing on the Salina II tremendously and recommend this experience to everyone.

Myself and 3 of my best girlfriends when on this sail for my 50th Birthday celebration! All of us girls very 1st time on a sailboat too! Capt Iris was a wealth of knowledge and expertise! I Loved learning the history of St Michael's. Gavin was our 1st Mate and he did an awesome job for a bit windy day.

We had such a lovely time sailing with Captain Iris and her beautiful Selina. We loved hearing about the history of Selina and St. Michaels. This truly was a unique experience and we can't wait to come back again.

Captain Iris was captivating to listen to. The Selina II has been a part of her family history for decades.
Our trip was smooth and serene.
Canadian wildfire smoke created haze which impacted the evening skies.
Still, we saw a sunset and 2 stars. Along with lovely conversation, this new adventure was something special to me.

Beautiful outing on Selina II with Capt Iris and Gavin. Too blustery to put up the sails up however a relaxing and engaging tour of the area from the water. Will definitely come again!

Captain Iris is an absolute gem! We adore the Selina II and hope to set sail on her each time we visit St. Michael’s. Having no more than 6 passengers creates an intimate trip where friends are made and camaraderie abounds. Adding a little wine or beer certainly doesn’t hurt either 😉 Thanks again to the captain and her crew!

My mom and I have visited St. Michael’s the last three summers after having spent time here over two decades ago. Since begging to visit again, we have taken a sailing ride with Sail Selina each time - and it is always wonderful! Captain Iris and her first mate, this time Gavin, are always so accommodating, knowledgeable and friendly. We look forward to our ride every year!
