Little Mexican place in Sparta, North Carolina. Excellent food, service, and atmosphere! We were so full after our meals. We took strawberry churros home! Thank you. We'll be back!

Great unassuming restaurant in Sparta North Carolina. The food was delicious and the prices were great. Service was very quick and the staff was friendly. We were seated quickly without a reservation.

Our dinner was so delicious for everyone in our group. We would definitely recommend their Dinner for 2 special. They were perfect for sharing. So good we didn't even take pictures of our plates (but we did remember dessert). Everything was amazing but the fried ice cream is a must! Can't recommend this place enough.

A little dated decor BUT an excellent dinner nonetheless. Staff was SUPER. Food was excellent and came out pretty quickly. Good menu selection. Homemade salsa was banging. Our party of four guys (rolling in after a full day of motorcycling) was VERY HAPPY with the place. WE WILL BE BACK!

We all really enjoyed our meal. Salsa was very heavy with the cilantro. A little strong for us. But we'll definitely eat here again.

We recently rented a house in Sparta NC thru Vrbo. Naturally, part of my planning for this trip, involved a deep dive into the locally owned restaurants because our traveling rule is NO CHAINS!

So here’s a side note about locally owned restaurants:: I used to think that if a restaurant didn’t have a website, they weren’t serious about it. I’ve since learned that I’m an idiot. Most of the places only had a FB page with pictures of the menu. I decided that maybe no website means they are so busy serving great food, they don’t have time to create and manage a website. I’d rather have great food!

I had read that Mis Arados is family owned and is one of the top rated Mexican restaurants in NC. We can vouch for that claim! On our way to the cabin we called in an order for pick up. We got 2 jumbo ground beef burritos, and added cheese sauce because if it’s not swimming in cheese, is it even Mexican food? We reheated when the time came and we were blown away. They actually seasoned the ground beef and it made a huge difference! They included a bag of tortilla chips and really fresh salsa. I’m sorry there’s no pictures of the burritos but trust me when I say we wolfed them down. Every. Single. Morsel. These were only $7.50 each + $2.99 for cheese dip.

We picked up from them again and tried two of their specialty items. Hubs got the Sparta Special and I got the Jaliciense Especial. I wrote this down phonetically (holly-see-N-say) after I made Siri speak it. Hopefully Siri didn’t make a fool of me because she can be a little b*#&@y. Anyway, we ate on these meals twice each because each dish felt like it weighed 5 lbs. I do have pictures of these. I’m telling you, I love Mexican food around the Triad but this food was next level. The SS had steak, chicken breast, topped with chorizo, onion and Chile toreado, served with soft tortillas, rice and beans. The JE had chicken, shrimp, onions, mushrooms and chorizo, served with soft tortillas, rice and beans. We will definitely go there again, the staff was very gracious and appreciated our return.

I was taken to this restaurant while visiting family. After living in New Mexico for a few years and being gobsmacked by traditional New Mexican food. I decided to go for broke, and I ordered a Chile Relleno. In NM the use Hatch green chile as their only chile. Red or green, or both. They call that “Christmas style”. Let me tell you that when I took my first bite and hated to be the one to tell my husband (NM native) that there was a better chile relleno in a little NC mountain town. I’ve yet to find another that compares!

Food was great, prices were good. What more could you ask for. 🤔

Pollo Loco was very good. It is my new favorite dish.

Family 👪 restaurant. Good food at a fair price. If you like authentic Mexican cuisine, this is a good place to go.

Best Mexican food in Sparta. Chimichangas, Pollo Loco- everything is good. Great service too! Add Steak Fajitas to this list too!

Amazing all - family staff & their food is incredible. I just moved to the area & it's the best Mexican restaurant I have found! Definitely have been at least once a week since! 😊

Delicious meals with generous portions. Plenty of chips and salsa is provided, sometimes you must ask for refills but if you want it, just ask. They are happy and quick to respond to your needs. Personally, nobody is a mind reader, so ask and not be sour.

Very good family place to eat. Good food for the money. Nice friendly wait staff. I recommend it to everyone who likes good Mexican quisine.
