Americas Best Value Inn & Suites Independence VA

I was traveling east from Cumberland Gap, Tn, and needed a place to pick a place to make a reservations for the night. At first I was skeptical for picking this hotel, (I usually stay at Hilton brand hotels), but the hotel had a good combined Google rating and good reviews. I decided to take a chance and booked a room.
The hotel was easy to find and is located up a short hill just off Hwy 58. The outside of the hotel was neat and clean with not many cars in the parking lot. The receptionist pulled up my reservation and within a few minutes I was relaxing in my room.
The room was very neat and well furnished (TV, microwave, small fridge and coffee pot). The hotel was very quiet and I had a great night's rest. The next morning I went down to the small dining area for their breakfast. While there wasn't any hot food, there was a good selection of cereal, muffins, bagels and English muffins to choose from, as well as yogurt, fruit, juice and coffee.
ABVI truly delivered on value for its price point. Be aware, they do not allow pets to stay in the hotel.

I travel to Independence fairly regularly to visit friends and always stay here. The front desk staff is very friendly and accommodating. Prices are very reasonable especially since this is the only hotel in town (next closest hotels are in Galax which is a 20 minute drive away). And the rooms are very clean and well kept. I especially enjoy the 4 cup coffee maker!

This was one of the cleanest hotels I have stayed in. Greeted with a smile, everything clean and tidy, from the parking lot to the lobby and my room. I travel on occasion for work, often at the last minute. Finding a place that is clean, safe, and comfortable is challenging. Businesses and employees just don't care these days... these guys do. Their attention to detail was noticed. If I am in the area, I would for sure stay here again. I highly recommend.

The rooms are clean, updated, nice and spacious. The king bed is very comfortable. The view is great. The staff is very friendly. It's also quiet which is definitely a plus.

Manager Devang was very helpful and co-operative. I was pleasantly surprised when we arrived at the hotel. The front desk staff were very accommodating and allowed us to check in early. The room was nice but somewhat dated however there were no issues. Everything was spotless housekeeping did an excellent job.

Wonderful place to stay , it was a fare price, very well thought out and clean 2 person room , the staff where excellent/friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was very good and has a good variety of healthy items. Grocery and local amenities just a hop skip and a jump away and within walking distance. Will be my 1st choice when I return for another trip.

The room was very clean and spacious. I was very impressed with how clean it was. Everything has been updated and the bed was comfortable. The staff were very nice. They even accommodated us when I called to tell them we were arriving early. They made sure our rooms were ready for when we arrived and allowed us to check in early. The breakfast is small, but I was satisfied. I wasn't expecting a meal, so I considered it a normal continental breakfast with cereal, muffins, bagels, fruit, etc. I would definitely stay here again and that's saying a lot from a girl that normally stays at Hilton brand hotels.

Have stayed here at least 8 times now. Very clean and well presented. Modern rooms. It's on top of a beautiful hill looking down on the town. Beside the high school where they do a fantastic fireworks show on July 4th.

Long day driving, hotel very easy to find. Day staff and night staff are so friendly and helpful. When in the area, this will be our hotel of choice always.

For the price, this is a fantastic option - very clean, very safe. The breakfast is small, but there are some good options in there. I appreciated having peanut butter for the bananas. I ended up in an accessible room, which was huge, but the bathroom was a little dark - just the lighted mirror and the fan light. I'd definitely stay here again.

So after reading a few reviews on “This Hotel”, we decided to stay here and we are glad we did.
We have been traveling on our motorcycle for the last week and the bed in fact was awesome (finally a comfortable bed). The room was clean and newly remodeled. The outside of the hotel was also clean and well maintained. The hotel staff we talked to were very nice and respectful and even gave us a recommendation on where to get ice cream, was not a let down.
Keep in mind, for a small town hotel and the price, this hotel is well worth it.

Some cons but, not worth giving less stars in my opinion.
1. The pillows sucked, very thin and had to bunch them up. Bring your own pillows if you can.
2. The shower, not the best pressure but wasn’t terrible. Hot water would fluctuate some.
3. Breakfast was so/so. We decided to get something out of the vending machine.

Excellent little jewel in the mountains. Hotel is on a scenic hill off the highway with grocery store, restaurants, and shopping nearby. Comfy room with AC, TV, Refrigerator, Microwave, Desk and Chair, Luggage Rack, and Nice Bathroom. My only complaint is not enough light in the bathroom (shower is darkened). Convenient Parking and Light Breakfast.

Hands down the best hotel in Independence. The owner and staff is super friendly and helpful. Cleanliness on point. Spacious rooms. Drinks available inside the hotel. Really comfy beds!

Friendly, helpful, knowledgeable staff that it feel like home. Though you wouldn't know by the looks, sounds, and cleanliness, it is actually going through a remodel. The room I stayed in was original, "as far as I could tell" and in my opinion was in excellent shape and not in need of remodeling. I bet it will be even nicer upon remodel completion.
When it comes to amenities it was accommodating two features, "for myself that is" it's a smoke, and pet free facility, and I smoke, and have a cat, but I didn't find it to be an issue, just a personal preference. All in all excellent all the way around.

I don't normally wire reviews but, this hotel was great! The beds were some type of memory foam and were the most comfortable beds in a hotel that I've ever slept on!! I got about 6 hours of sleep but it felt like 10. I really didn't want to leave this bed and, the pillows were really comfortable too! Not to mention the staff was very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend. Only downfall was they still had no breakfast being served but, it was still advertised online that it was available

Seems to be the closest hotel to the Grayson Highlands area, I stayed here with a buddy for a night and got the suite, which was an amazing deal for an even $100. Room was very clean and updated with 2 big TVs separated by a wall. My friend drew the short straw and slept on the pull out couch but said it was comfortable. I got the bedroom with the king bed and really nice view of the mountains out the window from the second floor. The 2 people working there were incredibly friendly and genuine. Breakfast was not provided but there's a great place nearby that was open.
