Stopped in while passing through the area. Surprisingly quick service, good portions, and the actually the best sweet potato casserole I have ever eaten. Fried pork chops were very good also.

Been here twice and the food is excellent. I tried the tomato pudding and it was very tasty. Our waitress was very nice and friendly. She did a great job. Hope to be back soon

I will drive from the Washington, DC area 6 hours just to have dinner and then drive back home. The food is so good... I got arrested by Sparta police for slapping my mother!

On a serious note - The food is great. I know for a fact the food is freshly made. The owners are up before the crack of dawn peeling potatoes and cracking eggs 6 days a week. The service is very professional and they take great care in providing the best customer service. The Brown family has been a cornerstone in the Sparta community for over 50 years and they take great pride and dedication in serving not just the Sparta community, but people from all around.

The fried trout platter is to die for! One day they served Strawberry Clobbler and I thought I died and went to heaven.

If you are ever in the area of Sparta, NC, stop by Brown's Cafe and promise you... you won't be disappointed.

DELICIOUS , Every time I go there. Large portions,You get more then enough to eat. They have a large menu to pick from. The dining area is very clean, and the waitresses are polite. What are you waiting for???

We came through Sparta on a day trip and one of the locals recommended this place to us. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was so nice. We will be making another trip back to Sparta just to eat here!

A hidden Gem I'm glad I found it.Wow just wow at about sums it up fresh homemade stewed potatoes turnip greens with ham hock fresh cooked pinto beans baked macaroni and cheese and battered pork chop delicious first visit definitely be heading back wonderful waitress also

Stoped here on a Moto trip to VA to get gas. Discovered the Cafe in the back. Great service and food. Owner was interactive and recommended the butterscotch pie his father makes. Amazing.

Brown's Cafe has great employees that make sure you, the customer is taken care of. The food is that great "home cooking" they're known for. Love them!!

No surprise for locals..Brown’s Cafe is incredible! Lunch today, Staff was friendly, owner come out to wave to everyone, and the food was hot and awesome. If you’re in the area it’s a definite. The food is so good it can also be a destination meal. It’s that good.

Great food. Ribs are superb. Wife had haddoc fish and that was great. Desserts are wonderful. Had blackberry cobbler and custard pie. Service was great and friendly.
