The Beehive Cafe

While looking for a place to eat, we stumbled across this little hole in the wall, and sure glad we did!!!! The guy that took our order was extremely nice!! He was very accommodating being we just wanted to split a plate! We had the steak and gravy (which was absolutely amazing and don’t get me started on how good the gravy was). We also had the fried Oreos (we ate most of them before getting a pic) they are just like the Oreos at the fair! Also amazing!!! This place is a hidden gem!!!

Love the beehive, as far as a local hole in the wall goes these guys don't right. Granted it's always a personal opinion when you write a review here, however I'm a really hard person to please. I love the atmosphere and the people are great and friendly. It's a family type place with open homey old time feel dim lighting and large table seating. My personal favorite is the db cheeseburger basket with large crispy wedges and or fries. Self serve drinks are great the sweet tea is delicious. In addition to that the home made food is delicious as well. Stop in and be treated like family. You won't regret it. ( Grab some deep fried Oreos, your taste buds will dance in your mouth I promise. )

What a cute little restaurant. I am so glad we decided to check out while I'm in town. I'd give more than 5 stars if I could! The owner is precious, and it was such a homey atmosphere. The food was amazing! Mac n cheese was fantastic. The fried oreo bites were delicious, too!

I don't wanna call this a "hole in the wall" but more of a tiny hidden gem situated on the out skirts of town. We came in for a small lunch after driving from Cherokee county NC too look at possible houses to buy and check out the casino. This place is perfect for a quick bite to eat! The food is lovely and the atmosphere is very homie. The staff are absolute sweethearts and their story posted on the wall of the main room will definitely make you feel amazing for choosing a small business to spend your time and money. Chicken tender sandwich and the cheeseburger are very tasty!! And the fried Oreos are nothing to miss. Hope to find a home up here so that we can be back more often.

Very clean and very friendly with my regular cheeseburger made to order with Not pre frozen hamburger meat y’all! And it was done exactly the way I like..plus French fries were the better quality brand so I added some salt/vinegar on them hot babies. Mmm good. Husband said slaw was really good along with his Gizzards & Wedges. Definitely returning 👍

Very polite servers. It was mine and my bf first time eating there. OMG the potato wedges where the bomb! The cheese burgers we ate where the bomb. This is a very reasonable price and very delicious. We will be back for more.

My husband has been coming in here while he’s at work for lunch! He took me & the kiddos out for dinner last night & the kids said THOSE WAS THE BEST HOTDOGS THEY’VE HAD! ☺. My favvvv is the tater wedges! And they gave the kiddos fried Oreos on the house! This was by far the best food we’ve had in awhile & I’ll continue to stop here & give this man our business! Thank you so much for making us feel like family! ❤

Just stopped here for the first time for lunch and I’m so glad I did. I got the pork chop plate and it was the best food I’ve had in a while. They even gave me free deep fried Oreos because I’d never been before! Love this place.

My wife and I stopped by for little bit. The staff was friendly and helpful. I ordered large potato wedges crispy. They were fresh and ready in few minutes. We both loved them.

Seen the reviews for the place and wanted to try it out. The young man who took our order and then brought out our wonderful food was so sweet to us. My family and I liked it and will make plans to come back in the future. When we told the young man it was our first time he gave us free deep fried Oreos! Everything was good!

Amazing food and great value. Owner is friendly and greets you with a smile. Whenever I'm in Shelby I stop by. 5 stars isn't enough.

New owners! Outstanding food and service. Great big seating area and a surprisingly large menu. Potato wedges are hard to forget. Highly recommend.

Never been in town before and stopped to support a local business and was blown away! Incredibly friendly staff with quick service. The chuck wagon was amazing and no where makes them anymore! Happy to see on the menu. Boyfriend had a burger that was amazing! Defiantly a spot to check out!!

I don’t post very much but my husband and I recently discovered “The Bee Hive Cafe”. In Shelby. The food was fresh, plentiful, and amazing. To top it all off the owner was more than personable and you can tell that he takes to heart what his customers think. These places are far and few between. It’s not your average commercial food place. This place is exceptional because from food to management there was no disappointment. I would encourage people to give this place a try. The prices are well beyond reasonable as well.

Love the food service is great only problem no handicap parking & not wheelchair/walker accessible.

Best fried Oreos I’ve ever had !😁 Best customer service , I’ve experienced anywhere so far. The food is very Homey and Delicious 💕 10/10 Absolutely Recommend eating here !! In the words of the owner “my home is your home” 😁
