The White House on Freedom Way

I have been happily staying at The White House every month for the last year while I work in the area. It is charming, super clean, full of beautiful furniture and lights and museum-like artifacts! It feels like home! It is also extremely quiet. It is surrounded by woods and beautiful plants. I especially like being greeted by cats and chickens as I come and go. Robby has become a friend and you will love his southern charm. He is always leaving special treats. Of course, I have my favorite suite… but I have stayed in more than one of the rooms and they are all equally beautiful. My husband and I now stay here when we are visiting the beach and old friends (we lived in the area for 20 years). I can easily recommend this beautiful place, an easy drive to the beach, near the small town of Swansboro and near some really good restaurants.

Wonderful place! We had our own living room, bedroom & bathroom and even our private porch, the shared kitchen was just off our living room but had a curtain dividing for privacy. The owner had our favorite music playing when we got there ( he asked what we listened to) there was coffee, tea, and honey, granola bars, fruit, fresh water, with ice, waiting for us. In bedroom there was a decent sized fridge We will be back!

Absolutely beautiful and charming. A taste of home. We stayed at the white house and had the upstairs rooms. They were Really beautiful. We were a party of five and slept comfortably. If your looking for a piece of home you should really consider staying here. Rob was very accommodating for a last minute request.

The White House makes for an impeccably comfortable stay for your visit to Emerald Isle. Robbie is friendly, helpful, accommodating to the extreme. Pet friendly accommodations available and far more reasonably priced in comparison to other “pet friendly” hotels in the area.

I was fortunate to enjoy the Zen Room while staying at The White House. In my room, I had a large queen bed, mini fridge, private bathroom and shower stocked with shower gels, a living space with Roku and comfortable couches. Wonderfully thoughtful, Robbie warmed the the room for me before arrival as the weather had gotten quite cold. I also had a personal Keurig in my private room stocked with coffee, cream, and sugar.

The White House is conveniently located to many shops, dining options, and near enough to downtown Swansboro and the Emerald Isle bridge. I will certainly be returning for the reasonable pricing, comfortable lodgings, and wonderful hospitality. Thank you, Robbie!

What an amazing place! We stayed in a beautiful camper tucked away in the woods behind the Annex building. It had a private drive, all the amenities we could ask for, and the sounds of nature.

I sat on the deck and played my guitar under the awning while my wife watched tv inside. It was hard to believe how sound proof the camper was. We could literally live there!

If you like nature and quick access to the beach this is your heaven. We will be back as often as we can!

The owner took the time to welcome us before we arrived by phone. I had booked a 2 person room and he offered a better room (think suite with husband) than I had booked because it was available. I let him know we were traveling on short notice because my daughter's grandmother passed away and she (my daughter) was my co-traveler. He showed me a raw kindness, a thoughtfulness, that was unexpected.

He offered us a suite that allowed private access so we could come and go as needed. Ultimately, we didn't spend much time at the B&B. I can assure you that the time we did spend was calm, clean, private, and reassuring. My daughter, that had never been to a B&B and was thus unsure, was impressed herself. She doesn't want to stay in another hotel. She wants to stay in a "home away from home" again.

The White House is not a hotel and I'm thankful for that. If you've read this far, you will be too.

Robbie was a great host and easy to communicate with. My suite was perfect, a large bedroom, bath and private living room with flat screen tv. Comfy bed and great furnishings. Beautiful shared kitchen if you wanted to cook! Loved the outdoor space, large porch and landscaped yard. Even had a chicken coop! Close to the quaint town of Swansboro and EI beaches. Can’t wait to stay again

The White House consists of (at least) two houses each with several guest suites and large accommodating "common areas" shared by the guests.

We stayed at "The Annex", a large beautiful old house consisting of 3 guest suites and a common living room/parlor, dining room, large well equipped kitchen, and a laundry room, shared by the guests. The laundry room is free!

The house is decorated with a mixture of genuine antiques and newer pieces chosen to harmonize beautifully with them.

This place is unlike any hotel or B&B where you may have stayed. It is run as if you are honored guests of Robbie, the owner. Robbie could not be a more wonderful or accommodating host!

This is a great and unique place to stay and we will be back!

We stayed here when my husband participated in the Marine Corps half marathon. We were accommodated at every turn, from late check-in to extended check-out. I even received a birthday surprise! I can't wait to stay here again! Our host treated us like VIPs while making us feel completely at home. EXCELLENT value for the price.

The White House is a lovely little property right off of Freedom Acres. My wife and I had a great weekend in their Annex house. It was a comfortable location, with more than enough comfort for the regular vacationing homebody. Even the property of the White House is filled with gorgeous floral bushes that fill your eyes with beauty, whenever you come or go.

Our host was great, he was available 24/7, and was excessively gracious whenever we spoke. His knowledge of the Hubert/Swansboro/Emerald Isle area was invaluable and lead to us having a fantastic time.

Only 10 minutes away are several beaches, restaurants, and parks all that will make your time at the White House a great stay.

My husband and I have stayed numerous times at The White House on Freedom Way, including renting out the entire main house for our wedding in 2011. No matter where on site we've stayed, our visits have been absolutely lovely, and our wedding was everything we dreamed of and more. The grounds are expansive and full of life and beauty. Robert is the most generous host we've stayed with in our many years of traveling together. No request is too small or large; he is eager to ensure that every stay is a pleasure. I can't recommend The White House highly enough.

What a great vacation! My life was in such an uproar, my man just knew what I needed. The owner of the House, Robbie, is such a delight, a breath of fresh air, the aurora of the house, I was able to cook for us, stayed around Great people! Gained a few friends! Got a great feel of the other world out of NY. Just the right medicine I needed. My mind is still there, I can't wait til we go back! I enjoyed the hens, roosters, chicks, cat's, that was not expected, how they came so close to me, they found comfort in one another. We walked down to the Creek. 22 acre's. I met my man's uncle, Aunt and cousin. Great people! Quiet, quant, kind, I could go on & on.

My 2nd visit there was early this week. Home is lovely and the rooms are beautifully decorated and maintained. The beds are super cozy. Robby is an excellent host and very accommodating. This is much better than a hotel room and more affordable. Worth checking out!

This was our second stay at The White House and we enjoyed both times. It was a pleasure to meet Robby and it was like spending time with an old friend right away. Our rooms were clean and comfortable and the kitchen is beautiful. Will definitely stay there again next time we are in NC.

Cozy, clean, well-priced stay in two upstairs rooms w our son. Host was friendly & accommodating. Coffee was delicious in the morning and location was perfect for restaurants & Hammocks Beach State Park visit.

Hospitality was outstanding along with the cleanliness. Robby was fantastic to work with and even made accommodations for us during an overlooked issue due to my negligence. I recommend this place to anyone who enjoys peacefulness mixed with a very welcoming and homey environment. My only recommendation would be to plan ahead for booking.

We had a great stay at the White House on Freedom Way over the Memorial Dayweek-end. Robby was a gracious host, and made sure we had everything we needed in the annex. He even brought in helium balloons, as he was aware it was our anniversary. Highly recommend.

My husband booked this place for my Birthday. It was our first time here and we loved it. Robby was awesome and made us feel right at home. Everything was nice and clean and there were candles lite with fresh flowers.We will be going back just to get a break from our kids.

A hidden gem in a great location between Jacksonville & Swansboro NC. Very cozy and quaint. Lovely large property to take a stroll around and discover wild life and beautiful plants and flowers. Extremely clean and quite suite. Large room with comfortable bed. Wonderful visit, looking forward to next stay. This will definitely be our go to place when in town. 😆

It has been one of the greatest experiences for me to stay here. I tend to travel a lot, and in these days you never get the experience that you want with most of the places you stay. I can honestly say that my stay here has been the greatest traveling experience of my life. I'm looking forward to returning here and staying again. The owners have been wonderful to me, and really care about making sure you are comfortable.
