In Town Southern Dining

Visited this location on 2/3/24. This is one of our new favorite places to eat & is worth the drive. My sister & I both tried something different this time when we visited. She had the dinner salad (with no tomatoes) & a side of ranch. She said it was very good & liked that it didn’t have the dark lettuce that a lot of places serve on their salad. She also had the shrimp basket dinner which comes with shrimp, hush puppies & fries (her side choice but you can substitute with the many other side options they have available to choose from). I had the grilled chicken sandwich with fries. The fries they have are very good. So is the ranch dressing they serve here. We both enjoyed our meal.

The service is really good here & the manager is friendly & nice and makes a point of visiting tables. I also noticed an employee cleaning the front door & windows. She cleaned both the front & inside door & windows which is something you don’t see very often at a restaurant. She took her time & did a really good job with a good attitude about her work.

This restaurant also has a rewards system. Just enter your phone number when checking out & it keeps track of your visits. We will be back again very soon for another meal.

My husband and I love their cheeseburgers, and they have the most delicious fries.
We also love their tater tots which are served piping hot and crispy.
They also have other great options, chicken fried steak, catfish, chicken and dumplings and other delicious comfort food.
The dining area is spacious and drive through is available.
The service was top notch and the staff very friendly.

My family does a family dinner once a month. We all come to "In Town Southern Dining" with 20 to 30 people. They have great customer service and they always make sure you are completely satisfied. I absolutely love this place!!! They have the most amazing southern comfort food. The catfish dinner is my favorite! If you want fresh, hot and delicious southern food, give this restaurant a try as soon as possible!!! You'll definitely love it too!!! 😍😍😍😍

They did a great job, dinner was delicious and the staff friendly. Food was hot and the sweet tea was perfectly sweet. Kids had fun and it wasn't spendy. We will def be back.

Stop by 2/14/24 This was the best food I've had in a while everything was perfect. The steak sandwich was amazing. It's was five of us from Edmond Oklahoma and we all enjoyed the food and service. The fish and shrimp meal was good with a wonderful taste. Hushpuppies was good. Steak meal was big big and wonderful. The sides was amazing and it was a lot of food for the price so we was excited about that. The restrooms was clean and smelled good. The staff was super nice and amazing. The entire place was very very welcoming, clean and friendly. I really really wanna say thanks to the wonderful cooks because the food was delicious 😋. I will be back soon the. The best

The best staff and food. New items added to menu so I haven't tried them all yet but I'm definitely going to work my way thru all of it. Haven't found anything I don't like. Love the roast they also have a spud with the roast on it 😋 my son wanted a bag of their fries for Christmas 😂 they are amazing tho so I understand

Although this is a counter-order restaurant, staff stopped by my table no less than 5 times to make sure everything was going well. They even refilled drinks even though the drink are set up as self-service.

The burger and fries were exactly as they should be. I don’t know why I don’t stop by here more often. Seems like I should!

Update - this location closed early 2023, good news is they have moved to another building not too far away.
Exceeded every expectation! Clean, cozy, excellent service and attention, very laid back relaxed atmosphere. Oh, and the food is even better than you remember! See my before and after pics. And you better believe I brought my leftover fries and okra home, inspired to use the air fryer.

This latest iteration of dining is the best ever. I've been going here for 60 years since it was an old fashioned drive in.

Now it's a sit down family style restaurant. The menu is full of comfort food! Our group had a steak dinner, steak sandwich, fish and shrimp, and 2 types of large baked potatoes. Everyone found their food to be hot well prepared and delicious. Each person had food left over to take home.

Today, they honored veterans with a free steak sandwich. Bless them.

This is a nice little diner. Very bright and clean. Excellent service. Good chicken fried steak and insane portions on the chicken fingers. Fried okra is good. Potatoes and gravy are basic.

Got my grub to go from the 'Rancho. The S³ (Steak Sandwich Supreme) is the finest chicken fried sandwich on earth. Miracle whip, lettuce, and tomato - what more do you need? The Chuck burger is good with chili and sweet relish & cheese, but its downfall is the beans in the chili. Other 'Ranchos don't do this which is the chili of a true purest (and what I prefer, beans don't go in chili). But, I'm sure they do this for their Indian Tacos. Tots are standard, but what sets it all apart is they don't use weird chemical oil to fry it in. It's not peanut oil (a la Classic 50's in Norman) but it isn't bitter and does not make your Coke taste like weed killer as Sonic does. The fries here are a high mark and better than anywhere else with those crispy grainy seasoned outides and1 a soft tasty baked potato flaky inside.The folks working at this Nicoma Park Del Rancho are professionals and really accurate and nice as all restaurants east of Post Road towards Choctaw are. I like things more about the 29th & Douglas Del Rancho better (no beans in chili), but this is a solid one. Their kids chicken strip meal is way better at Nicoma Park. SSS hits it out of the park at any of the Del Rancho franchises. I still miss my south OKC 'Ranchos along 29th and the one that was on 10th and Penn, but those are all extinct. The new breed is great even with their modern feel. I'll pay a lot of shekels for a SSS!!!

What can I say bad about this place...hmm. we need a location in Norman.. or Noble.. lol...
This place is definitely worth the drive if you miss good southern cooking and do not feel like cooking yourself.. coming from Louisiana.. I do miss getting out and having a good, decent meal if I am not in the mood to cook.. this place is the "IT" spot.. the pot roast is my favorite... the flavor and tenderness.. just mouth watering... the green beans are like we make back home.. so full of flavor.. the chicken fried steak is really great, too.. the sweet tea.. yeah.. they got that assignment right.. most places here make it unsweetened and call it sweet.. smh.. I can't think of any dish here that I could not recommend 100%.. all I can say is just make the drive and give them 1 chance.. I guarantee you will be hooked.. the staff here is always friendly.. they make you want to co.e back.. they care if you enjoy your meal and want you to let them know.. this place deserves like 20 stars...

Crazy surprised to see ham and beans on the menu. Even more surprised when they were better than I had anticipated. Homemade onion rings are also pretty good, not exactly great, but pretty good. My daughter's Big Town chicken sandwich hits the spot and meets all the marks. Going to go out on a limb and try the pot roast dinner next time.

Two of us had the Chicken Fried Steak and one of us had the Chicken Fried Chicken, we all left happy and pleasantly full.

Discovered this establishment purely by accident. Now we make a point of visiting each time we go to OKC. Every meal leaves us fully satisfied and looking forward to trying something else on the menu. Simply can't beat the tasty fare, generous portions and reasonable pricing. Big shout out to staff and management for wonderful customer service!

Food was awesome and Sarah was awesome about our allergies and helped us with the decision making of what we could or couldn't eat my husband and I have alpha gal with is allergies to beef and pork and Sarah made it so much easier for us to order thank you and the food was so good

This is our second time to eat here. Great food both times and lots of it. Chicken Strip Dinner and Chicken Fried Chicken was fantastic. Will we go back? Hell yes.

we have been dining with these guys for years!!! probably prettu close to 15-20 years!! Deniese has been our server from he very firs time we came here!! she has always bee amazing to us!!! she is very good at what she does!! she sure can brighten someones day up veru quick!! All the other staff from the dishwasher to the cooka to the servers are very friendly amd welcoming!! this our favorite place to come and dine!!! i would recomed eveeyone to come and dine here!!!

If you want a good home cooked meal.. come here.. I had the pot roast with mashed potatoes and green beans..
The portions are huge.. the prices are pretty cheap for the amount of food you get.. and the food.. oh my lord.. I thought I was back home in Louisiana..
Definitely dont sleep on this place..
Wish they had one in NORMAN ...
