Potato Hills Central Campground

This is a wonderful, wonderful campground. I’ve been to two group events in camping pavilion A & Loop C. The pavilion is perfect for group events. Huge fire place on one end, lots of picnic table seating, serving bar, electricity, water & huge grill adjacent to the pavilion.
Some of the sites do need repairs to the back in & parking pads & some sites are difficult to get in because of trees but everyone managed, some with extra help. It is a beautiful, beautiful, quiet park.
Be sure to eat at K’s Restaurant in Clayton. Wonderful staff with great food but come with patience… it’s a tiny town. Every time we’ve been they have had only one or two servers. But the food is well worth the wait. The zucchini bread sold at the register is excellent.

We had such a wonderful camping experience at Potato Hills Campground. It was especially beautiful being Fall. So many colorful trees. Perfect view of the sunset over the lake. :-) Too chilly to swim but there is a nice beach area with a restroom, pavilion and playground. Potato Hills North is a nice area to fish off of an old bridge. Good fishing at The Narrows also. The campsites had concrete picnic tables, BBQ grills as well as firepits. Restrooms are well maintained. Looking forward to going back in the Spring. ;-)

Had a great time while tent camping here, despite the 2 largest storms best effort. Park rangers were very friendly and helpful with issue of power and got it fixed right away. Will have to come back again. Beautiful sunsets, wonderful sounds of nature when we woke, and friendly neighbors.

Beautiful view from site A19 and early in the season the park was very quiet. The bathroom and showers were OK for me, but my wife had no hot water and the facility needs a renovation.

Very nice campground, most sites have nice tree coverage and the ones that don't have shades over the tables. The bathrooms were very clean. The only issue is that there is a lot of weeds in and around the water by the bank, not something super big, but if you're trying to swim you might want to go to the swim beach.

Nice little park on beautiful Sardis Lake. The camp sites, day use/ swim beach area and boat ramp are all great. Good fishing in the lake and calm water to boat on.

Great campground with water access at most sites. Close to the Local beach area. Well maintained electric and water sites. Facilities are adequate.

Very Tranquil far apart campsites. Bring extra water hose. Very well maintained. Super clean bathhouse.
