Couchot Michael DDS

I'm actually surprised by some of the other reviews. I have had work done two different times at this place, and both times I was treated warmly and with respect from the moment I walked in to the moment I left. Dr. Couchot is incredibly skilled, and his staff was very friendly and answered all of my questions. I would absolutely trust this surgeon, he's very efficient and I healed very quickly with no issues. I found him to have excellent bedside manner, but I understand that he has a job to do and we are not there to socialize. These guys are great, give them a shot!

I had surgery here with Dr. Couchot. I am very nervous when it comes to procedures. The Dr. And his staff made me feel comfortable which helped the process. Dr. Couchot was pleasant and is very skilled. I was sedated, he did the IV himself and was so easy I barely felt it. Next thing I knew I was waking up all fixed. The aftermath is always sore depending on the procedure, however I have not noticed anything above or beyond the normal to be expected while recovering. The entire process was fuss free and If Dr. Couchot offered regular dentistry services I would be more than happy to have him as my Dentist. Since he is a surgeon, I will continue to go to his office as needed!

Today was my first time at this office. All staff were amazing. It was very obvious they cared, new their job well, and were genuinely concerned about each patient.

Had two teeth pulled or sectioned out on May 4th I've literally had no pain tenderness or swelling to the wounds. I was terrified of infection because of an underlying condition I am unable to take antibiotics and one of the teeth were abbess but all I can say is wow I'm healing fast and with no problem or pain it's only day 3 but so far so good.

Went and had a tooth pulled today, never felt a thing not every the pinch of the needle. The office staff was great. The Dr. Was all business but that's what he gets paid for.

Dr. Couchot has no bedside manner to speak of but he is a phenomenal dentist/surgeon. He had my tooth out in less than 5 minutes and it didn't hurt afterwards whatsoever. Best extraction I've ever had. The lady at the front desk is really rude though. Dr. Couchot may not be a big talker but he sure knows what he's doing when it comes to the actual procedure. If you can handle the hateful staff the dental work will be top notch.

Dr. Couchet has zero bedside manner, but he’s an excellent oral surgeon. I could handle Dr. Couche’s poor bedside manner. He’s not rude. He just doesn’t talk to you at all. Maybe he’s just a quiet person, but his staff is another story. Rude, hateful and totally mean spirited! They told me my dental insurance wouldn’t pay for the anesthesia for my surgery. I called the insurance company and the claims department said they would pay, but they needed Dr. Voucher’s notes. I called the office to ask them to send the notes. The woman was extremely rude and said what I had was a simple procedure and the insurance wasn’t going to pay. She said I will read you Dr. Voucher’s notes. She paused while she read the notes herself and then said if the insurance company needs anything else from us, they will let us know. I realized the notes didn’t say what she expected so I asked her to please read the notes to me. She was obviously irritated, but she read the notes which basically said the exact same thing I told her which was Dr. Couchet didn’t mention anything about doing my surgery without anesthesia because I needed to be asleep for the procedure. She told me what I said wasn’t true because Dr. Couchet ALWAYS gave patients the choice of just numbing the mouth. I don’t know why, but the woman who does the insurance billing does everything she can to keep the insurance from paying! She should have sent Dr.Couchet’s notes to begin with. I can’t understand why she does this???

Our son was referred to Dr. Couchot after he had X-rays from our primary dentist confirming possible wisdom teeth impaction if not removed. Nothing was communicated to us concerning bringing his X-rays to his consultation. Upon arrival the nurse escorted our 16 year old to have another set of X-rays performed. Without consent from us. Had it been communicated to us we would have brought his X-rays or called our referring dentist to have sent, not been charged additional $, and our son would not have been exposed to more radiation to his rapidly developing cells.

I wish I could give zero stars. I was there with my 10-year-old son. He was extremely scared and having a hard time. This office was incredibly impatient and unkind. They gave him five minutes and then pushed us out the door. They even had the audacity to tell us to not come back.
I am out $100 for my consultation fee. We will not be returning and they even told us not to come back. I’ve wasted $100 and they refuse to reimburse me. Do not use this doctor. Find another doctor. I asked if my son could have a few more minutes so we could try and calm him down. They were impatient and pushed us away. I called and requested my money back and they refused.
Now I’m out $100 and have to go find another doctor for my son.

Worst experience ever!!!!!

Stacy at the front desk was beyond rude when we arrived. She does not understand the value of customer service. My daughter and I were beyond a nervous wreck and she just added to our stress. Uncaring, rude and obnoxious. Doctors need to realize how much representation comes from the front desk. Employees need to realize their salaries are paid by clients. Hire the right person always.
