Down Home Restaurant

Love the Down Home. Good food, just like Mama used to cook for us kids. And you want to talk about desserts--you would swear that they came right out of your grandmother's kitchen. Try the banana split, but you better have a friend or two to help you eat it. Do you like catfish? Or even if you don't, you will like the catfish that you get here. I sometimes dream about their cakes and pies, especially their butterscotch pie. And the sweetest wait staff in Tennessee.

Outstanding place! You are missing out if you pass this gem up going through town. The staff are excellent and food is delicious. The decor is unique and well designed.

The food was outstanding and very generous portions. If you leave this place hungry it's your own fault. Wonderful atmosphere and great service. This is my new Friday night place to be.

I ordered side salad, loaded baked potato and Cajun catfish. My friend ordered the fried catfish with coleslaw and loaded baked potato. Everyone super nice. Food hot and fresh. We will return! A+ service!

Good old southern comfort food with a few extras. If you can’t find something good to eat here you weren’t hungry too start with.

This place is so good! Well decorated, clean, just really nice. Hard to find these kind of restaurants nowadays. Mom and I stopped by when we were in the area and had the Down Home special and fried cod. That food and our sides were all delicious. Hannah was our sweet waitress, and the rest of the staff were wonderful too. Can’t wait to go back and try their desserts!

This is a Restaurant we drive over an hour to go visit. Their food portions are plenty, food presentation is great. The staff are friendly and on top of making sure you have plenty of drinks and always checking in case you need anything else. I love this beautiful country Restaurant. It's definitely worth the drive.

To all you haters I believe your gripe is not the food but maybe it's because of their faith and beliefs!!!! The food was great even though all is not homemade but still was great. I say try this place and show your support that America is still a great place to live. Anyone leaving hateful reviews just remember they are Christian based and their beliefs should be respected!!!!!!

OMG!!! Food was great. The portions where huge. Our waitress Jacinta was super nice! We hope to get back soon!

The food was excellent, really good. Chicken Tenders are huge and my husband said the catfish was some of the best he ever had. The hot fudge cake was really good. We did go on a Friday night during yard sale weekend, so the service wasnt great. We sat on the side with the cake bar and it seemed like we kept getting forgot about. This was our first time, but we will definitely be back.

They have the best chicken fried steak and green beans. It’s such a relaxing country atmosphere. They play good old country music and a lot of Dolly Parton. All the staff are the sweetest ever.
