River Grill

Service was excellent. Love the atmosphere here. Music just loud enough, comfortable feel, nicely decorated. Menu has plenty of options we hear it is new and we liked it!
The smothered chicken was juicy & flavorful. Not the least bit dry & the perfect balance of veggies. Cheese, sauce. I'd love to see them offer it as a Philly chicken sandwich.
Catfish was nice size pieces(don't like the large filets, they can be fatty & fishy. Breading well seasoned. Slaw was nice, but hushpuppues were a tad overdone on the outside, though soft on inside. Just a little too dark/crunchy for us. At first glance we thought they'd be burnt, hard & dry, but the inside was nice. Loaded baked potatoes worth the upcharge. It was huge, flavorful & cooked perfectly.

Great food & service. Ty Riddle & Callie are the best servers I’ve ever experienced. I would eat here again soley on the service!

Once again, I found myself traveling the 45 minutes from Jamestown to feast at this fine eatery. There are many other restaurants to choose from, but The River Grill is on the top of my list. The steaks are divine, the catfish is sublime and the staff is so fine. And please don't miss out on the loaded sweet potato fries. My constant favorite. They will make you sing praises to whoever came up with that little dish. Oh, and get the wings and fried pickles for apps. You'll be glad you did!

Went there for dinner and got their catfish and baked potato! So so so good. They were really busy and it took about an hour to get the food but it was worth the wait and great prices too. You also have to love their huge drink glasses.

By far the BEST food and service we’ve had in the Dale Hollow Lake area after 25+ years. Wanted a nice meal out to celebrate upcoming birthday. And the River Grill did not disappoint. Perfect evening, fast and friendly service, fantastic steak and shrimp!

This is our 5th time and it was great, but this time the steak was only 1/2 inch, the mushrooms 🍄 were overcooked and they said they were out of deserts 4 but I saw 👀 one served at 7:00 , very disappointed 😞 😳

What can I say? There was a seat yourself aign, so we did. We wondered how long it would take for us to be noticed; 43 seconds later, we were greeted and asked what we wanted to drink. The drinks came in pint size mugs (huge). The food was hot, and the sauces and dressings were all homemade. The waitress was amazing, and they were BUSY. She visited our table very often to check on us. Just WOW.

The food was great!! Great service!! Nice place for a little town place. Nice they had a Tribute up for the 13 fallen soldiers.

We've never been disappointed when dining here. The kitchen and staff go out of their way to provide a great experience. My favorite is the ribeye with 2 sides, the wife always samples around the menu, and will starve me to death in order to eat here anytime we are heading to Byrdstown. Excellent as always! 👍👍

Very polite and courteous and nice atmosphere. A wholesome experience with with relaxing decor and furniture to match. I'd def go again and plan on it. Vibrant staff, with a conversation to add to the charm of the fungshaway of it all. Try the bacon cheese fries, they're exceptional.

It was super busy. But the food is soo good, I see why!! They had ran outta sweet potatoes, so they made it up to us off our check! The owners and staff are very super friendly and just want u to have the best experience possible! We will definitely be coming back!!
