Our first time in the Byrdstown area and we were happy to find this place. I got chicken parmesan with baked potato and garlic bread and glazed carrots. Good size portions and good price, but the BEST chicken parmesan I've had in ages. My wife got country fried steak with green beans and potato kegs (think double size tots with corn and onion in soft center). Shortstaffed, so choose your time to visit wisely. So glad to have found this restaurant. It is now in my Top 5 anywhere. If you're in the Keys, go to Burdine's; if you're near Pulaski, go to the Hickory House; if you're in Spartanburg, go to the Beacon; if you're in Carrabelle, go to the Fisherman's Wife; if you're anywhere even in the rough vicinity of Byrdstown, go to the Country Kitchen. You won't be disappointed.

I found this restaurant by searching the nearest one to me. Turned out to be an excellent choice. A large restaurant with an extensive menu. There were corn nuggets and mozzarella sticks as appetizers. I had my own personal pizza, others had their famous catfish sandwich with crisp, crinkle fries. Another group ordered chicken fingers, baked potatoes and coleslaw...grilled cheese sandwiches and fries. Everything was hot and fresh. There was a dessert menu too with lots of yummy choices including an .80 ice cream! If you're in the neighborhood stop by and eat. No reservations needed but they were able to accommodate our group of 14.

I absolutely love this place!!! The servers are the kindest people and very hard workers. The food is always A+! We love breakfasts there and last night decided to give their pizza a try. It was delicious! It had lots of cheese and that home made type crust. So good!!! The prices are also always terrific by the way too! We were half way through the pizza before I thought to take the picture!!! You can still see how great it looks though!

Slightly under staffed last trip but usually not an issue, seems as if like most every were else online and phone orders can overwhelm staff trying to give service to customers who dine in. Hard to staff for that. Employees do the best they can and well worth the wait.

Plenty of seats, waitress was super friendly, great hometown place!!! Food was great!! They only give one refill on tea and drinks so if you drink alot I recommend getting water also or coffee. You get free refills on both of those. Also the cups are plenty big so two glasses are Plenty to drink.

Amazing restaurant. Traveled from Ohio. The food was incredible and super affordable! 2 full breakfasts we could barely finish was 20$. Staff was friendly, place was clean. Very safe area to stop, stay and eat.

Love this place. Food is always hot and delicious no matter if it's breakfast, lunch or dinner. An services is always great.

Good country cooking with daily specials. Have had breakfast, dinner, and lunch here and never disappointed. Wifi is also available if you need to stay connected.

Visited here again this year during an 8 day stay in the area. Breakfasts were great and filling and really got a bang for our bucks. We also tried their catfish and chicken stir fry and both were delicious. Servers are always great kind people too that are on top of things. Love this place.

Excellent homemade breakfast at a great price. 3 slices of cured bacon and sausage gravy was delicious. Only $6 for all of that!

Found this place while driving around and checking out the lake and Cove Creek. The staff was super friendly, even with being VERY short-staffed and doing almost everything by herself. My ma had the smothered chicken and I had BBQ pork sandwich with some breaded mushrooms. Everything was delicious. I'll definitely come back, as I'm keen to try more things on the menu (like the tater kegs!) And try the desserts.

We love this place. The owners, staff, food, service, and friendliness. 5/5 stars from us. I love their meatloaf, mashed potatoes, pinto beans and cornbread . My husband loves the country ham breakfast platterWe finally timed ion Sunday mornings where we both get what we want. You simply can’t go wrong no matter what you choose.

Get the chicken nuggets for the kids, they are great here.

Everything we ordered was delicious especially when compared to the "restaurants" in Jamestown.

I have been here twice now and both times was delicious. I have tried the catfish and the swiss mushroom burger with onion rings. The staff is so helpful, friendly and nice. It is just a great little hometown place for a good meal. It sometimes takes a bit tonget your food but for us it has been worth the wait. 4 of us went and all were happy.

This place is reminds of a place you want to go to feel welcomed. Overall the food was good. Just leave the bread out of the dressing and thicken up the gravy. Server was very nice

Food was down home cooked meal. Wait staff very pleasant and on top of the service. Highly recommend.

Service was good, waitress was very friendly. The food was plentiful and served hot. I recommend the country fried steak with mashed potatoes n gravey n Cole slaw.
