Hempstead Seafood Restaurant & Stk

Food was good, not over seasoned/salted like many places. Cooked just right. Price was great and service was excellent. We showed up just before lunch rush on a Saturday and had food in minutes.

I also appreciated that the music wasn't too loud for conversation.

On July 28th, my classmates of Hempstead High/Sam Schwartz met and had lunch. It was amazing and our waitress was great. My family and I eat here often. We haven't had a bad complaint yet of what we have ordered.

I chose to have the grilled chicken, grilled veggies, grilled shrimp, crab cake,and coleslaw. The seafood was exquisite and the chicken, veggies, and coleslaw were amazing. Calm and mellow atmosphere. Would definitely go again.

I've driven by there numerous times. This time we stopped for dinner and it was great. We will definitely stop by more often.

Had a 14 oz ribeye with 3 grill shrimp, baked potato loaded with side salad. Food was excellent. Sorry forgot to take picture of my meal. Very friendly atmosphere. Service was great. This place is great place to eat for truck drivers. Pilot right next door. I will definitely be back. Thanks making my evening relaxing with a good meal.

Great food and the service is everything. By far the best gumbo, fish and other entrées in this region! If your looking for down home cooking with flavor and southern hospitality take your whole family here! Tasha and the other servers are wonderful and take care of all their customers with a smile. A very genuine place with vibes!

Absolutely loved the atmosphere. Much quieter than most restaurants. Kind staff, excellent waiter. Ordered the HALF Chicken Fried Steaks and it took up our entire plate. We will be going back! Their menu has fish, shrimp, etoufee, burgers, I can't even list it all! Highly recommend!! Doesn't look fancy on the outside but go in anyway!

Freshest and best seafood! Love this place and their food. One exception. There prices for a glass of wine is way out of whack. $7 for half a glass of wine is way too much to pay.
But the seafood is always great, tasty and reasonable prices. Just stick with ice tea.

OMG I LOVE THIS PLACE I ordered Crab cake, fish and shrimp with fries and hush puppies. I mean talk about the shrimp alone these are Large shrimp y'all not baby shrimp. It's hard to find good fried seafood. I FOUND IT. Everything tastes very fresh.

I was pleasantly surprised that the food tasted great, especially the vegetables, they were not frozen! Our waiter had great customer service and manners. After that the lights went out because of the thunderstorm, but that did not ruin the experience it just made it better.Definitely coming back again!

Food was hot and tasty during lunch. Both waitresses helped each other which made for great service. Catfish was thick and juicy with awesome taste. Fries were perfect with yummy seasoning. Chicken Fried Steak is huge and battered perfect. All in all a great place to stop and eat.

Nice slow paced restaurant, no fancy table settings, just good food. One of my wife's favorite gotos for shrimp and catfish. Been there a number of times and they are consistent with both the food quality and service. The restaurant is clean and everyone is friendly.

Waitress acted like she really didn't want to be waiting tables. Either she was new or wanted to be somewhere else.

Very clean, food was fresh with a large portion. Service was ok. Server was a little slow & did not check on our party.

Seriously the best shrimp and crawfish etouffee that I have ever had. I have been to New Orleans countless times and to many restaurants across Louisiana. Hempstead Seafood and Steaks trump's them all. Outstanding job! Wait staff was terrific!

Always enjoy the fish and I got the dirty rice this time. Could put a little more flavor in the dirty rice but it was just the right amount of food with the salad that comes with it. Also. Waitress is very quick and checked on just the right amount of time. Not overly checking. Restaurants. Nice and clean. It's just kind of dark but I guess that's how they do their ambiance.
