Berkot's Super Foods

They have good sales every week. Their shelves are well stocked. Their meat is really good there, especially when they have sales. Their fresh fruit and vegetables are always really good too.

Small store with a lot of things I can't find anywhere else. Great weekly deals. EVERYONE is so very helpful and nice. Store is a keeper.

Berkots is an old school grocery store with some modest prepared foods available. The quality of meat for the prices is great. The prices on produce are usually far lower than the competition, but the freshness is not always top tier.

Frozen items are hit and miss as their stock, prices, and selection are only okay. The sales tend to be very good and I find it easy to adapt meals to match sales.

Prepared foods, particularly the chicken, tends to be good or very good.

The parking lot is tight. The checkers range from slow to fast. The check out is almost always staffed. There is no self checkout. Cleanliness is okay. The place is clean, but you can easily get the impression that it is not since they do not appear to use gases and chemical additives on their products. I am fine with that. Others may find the smell off-putting.

If it is close and convenient, this is a great place to get your fresh food and occasional other items. I think it is also a good place to shop sale items to stock up if you are not so close.

Has turned into a nice smaller grocery store. Berkot's will never have the selection of larger stores but they have most of the everyday items you need. The meat department is good. Store is very clean and most of the interior is recently updated. The exterior is undergoing renovations now and I look forward to seeing how it turns out.

Great meat! We love there fresh hamburger patties and their big selection of homemade sausages!
There chicken is awesome as well.

I love shopping at Berkot's Super Foods! Most every thing I needed was on sale. Selection was ample. Definitely value for your money and employees were helpful and friendly. A better option than big chain grocer and a more convenient location.

They're having their grand reopening and it looks so nice! Very clean and well stocked. Everyone is friendly and even though there were only two registers open, they got us through quickly. Great neighborhood store.

This store is great. They have amazing sales.

My favorite thing is they have a sushi chef on-site. He does an excellent job. I just found out thru had a person there daily.

The current staff really encouraged this review. There is definitely an emphasis on quality customer service, the employees are incredibly helpful. There is always a good sale and fantastic meat selection.

I haven't been in the Kankakee location since it opened. I was pleasantly surprised to see the variety of meat selections and how fresh their vegetables were. The staff was very friendly and willing to assist me.

I think Berkots Hot Italian Sausages are the ABSOLUTE best.
I vsnt get enough, not too much fennel and they are the right hotness and the casing, and the meat is great. Nom nom nom

Oh my gosh, the staff at the Kankakee berkot's store are all so nice! I was helped by Jerry one of the managers, and a girl named Angi, and they were so sweet to me and my son that I will be going back here for many more shopping trips! Also, the interior is all brand new and renovated, so the store is better than any other grocery store!

Fast In n Out and Friendly Cashiers, If you need any help management and workers go out of their way to help you. Also, If your looking for high quality meats Berkots is the best place to go!!

Good brick cheese. Good sheet cakes and round cake, prefer the better creme icing
