The trail has potential. It's a beautiful area, and the main stretches are decent. Once you enter the actual forest though there is little to no maintenance done. Downed trees make following the path markers difficult. The views would be remarkable with some maintenance. As far as difficulty it would be easy with a cleanup, minor moderate as is. Not the greatest trail for pets but also not the worse. Our boys made it through but got stuck at downed trees a lot. The river trail is pretty and decent but the highland trail needs help.
