Pleasant River Drive-In

Excellent service, burgers, prices, and milk shakes! The whole place is adorable, quiet to drive up to, and not usually too busy! It is conveniently located in the middle of nowhere, but also in close proximity to plenty of wilderness and areas to explore! Would recommend to anyone passing by and will be returning again before my leave!

We drive there in our side by side on the Sunrise Trails and enjoy the ride as well as the excellent food. Due to the amount of food per serving we have found one order of fish and chips and small fries is an ample amount to feed us both. Food is great and fresh, service is fast and friendly and there is soft serve ice cream for dessert. Prices are reasonable and leaves enough to tip the staff for their great service. Definitely a place we frequent 2 to 4 times per month.

If you are looking for classic takeout that is AMAZING and reasonable priced with HUGE portions then this is the place for you!! We both had the bacon cheeseburger loaded and let me tell you I had to TAKE MINE APART to eat it because I couldn't even hold the thing in two hands it was that big. And it was so good, cooked fully through no pink but not dried out or burnt at all which is a HUGE pet peeve of mine. They also have seafood, chicken, ice cream and burgers. I will be going back for the scallops next time for sure! Their milkshakes were thick but not so bad that you had to use a spoon. This has become our new favorite stop for summer time take out!!

Good food and friendly staff. Their hot food and soft serve ice cream have portions that are very generous. My only gripe, which is quite trivial, would be an underwhelming number of spicy condiments options. Still wouldn't hold it against them over some banana peppers. They sport some pretty lovely scenery as well. All in all a great stop if you find yourself in the neighborhood and not sure WHICH roadside eatery to patronize.

Was trail riding on the Downeast Sunrise trail with a friend, and we stopped in for lunch. There were a few outside picnic tables. Accessible from the trail via a short trail through the woods. Didn't take long to receive our orders, friendly staff, & the cheese burger was great! 👌 took 2 hands to eat 🙌

Drove past and saw the parking lot was full, made the right choice turning back. Big portions, excellent price, delicious food.

I absolutely LOVE this spot! My family have been favoring this location since we moved this way!
The food is delicious, the workers and owners are friendly and super attentive.
Such a great menu of items to choose from; golden tuna melt sandwiches, fish&chip baskets, crispy chicken sandwich on grilled bread prefectly golden(my personal favorite) and so much more!
& don't forget the ice cream!
Lots of flavors of milkshakes, Nor'easters with candies and sauces, cones&dishes, brownie sundaes, banana boats, and tons of toppings!

If your ever in the area, stop in and grab a bite. I promise you won't be disappointed!

This is,a great place to take your family. The staff is very pleasant , the place is very clean, a place for the young ones to play outside, outside table if you'd like to eat outside rather than inside. My family just loves the creamy ice cream. Oh yes and good prices!!

Been there several times already. Very good selection of ice cream. Lots of good food choices. Good food good prices and very nice staff. If you're in the area I would highly recommend stopping at the Pleasent River Take Out.

Best haddock burger and lobster roll around, so fresh and flavorful! The onion rings were amazing and homemade as well!
We tried the Bayview takeout lobster roll that won awards on Beals island and were not impressed at all. So glad we tried the lobster roll at pleasant river as it was so good!
It may not appear to have indoor seating but there is an indoor seating section along with a clean bathroom in the event you prefer to sit indoors.

Totally off the radar place locals use for take out but inside are some seriously amazing lobster rolls that taste as though they have just come from the sea. Prices are good...

Delicious classic lobster rolls and soft serve at a road-side restaurant. Couldn’t ask for a better way to refuel after a hike.

Very yummy chicken and steak bombs and reasonably priced love ice cream n did an amazing job with the Fourth of July last year thank you for everything and the wonderful food
