Scott Downard, Manager, has “gone the extra mile” to listen to my needs, promptly placed my shoe orders, communicated their arrival, and made sure they are a good fit. Scott is the most knowledgeable and skilled Shoe Store Manager and Customer Service Provider I have encountered.
Scott is a respectful, caring, pleasant and efficient individual.

My daughter and I wanted to buy shoes for cross-country meets. The sales person was extremely helpful and was very knowledgeable about each brand and style of shoe he showed us and also offered other alternatives to the brands we initially inquired about. Great customer service, one of my best shopping experiences.

The whole experience was Great Michelle was extremly knowledgeable and helpful to me and she fitted me with the best fitted shoes that I've had in a long time.

We came in to get new track and field training shoes for my daughter..
Scott immediately welcomed us and engaged in conversation with our daughter about her needs… did necessary checks to watch her mechanics while walking and jogging. Scott was very professional… The way he got her in the right shoe for her was efficient and precise. He understood her concerns and needs for best support for her arches and her over all foot comfort. She got a new pair of shoes and arch support inserts. Best thing about the visit was it was all about her…the questions were to her…he listened to her..he answered her.. it was like I wasn’t there…And that is how it should be!! The shoes weren’t for me! Great place to get shoes! The personalized experience is what makes this the one and only place to go to for your running shoe needs. Thank you, Scott!! And thank you Runaway Shoes for your expertise! Track and Field post season will be it’s best because of your knowledge and services.

I have some chronic foot issues (arthritic bunion and a narily bone spur on my Achilles area) and Scott spent almost an hour helping me navigate shoes to try and explaining the various drops, heel cup rigidity and other concepts that could help or hinder my running.
His knowledge and expertise plus the general store vibe are wonderful!

Went on a Wednesday afternoon. Was greeted immediately and asked if I needed help. Had an absolutely wonderful experience getting new walking shoes. I had no idea what I needed and was not pressured or rushed into picking a shoe. She had me try on I think 12 different pairs of shoes so that I was sure I was getting what was right for me. Highly recommend for those looking for walking or running shoes! I will definitely be back!

The gal working yesterday was very helpful and knowledgeable about the walking shoes for my plantar fasciitis. We also talked about compression bands, inserts and support socks. I’m very happy with my purchases and put them to use right away on my treadmill. I feel confident that my heel is in good shoes!

Stopped in today right after 11 am, along with 5 or 6 other customers. I worked with an Andy & he did an incredible job being patient & providing a personalized experience…while also working to help & juggle the other customers. Awesome customer service! I walked in needing a new pair of running shoes and they helped me find a pair by not only asking what I look for in a shoe but they assessed my walk matching me with a pair that felt as though they were made for me. I plan on only buying my future running shoes here.

Excellent customer service. Their goal is to find the right shoe for whoever walks in the store whether it's an experienced runner or someone looking for a shoe to wear to work. They have a great selection of clothing and accessories too. And they're really great people who get involved in the community. Best place for running gear in the Fox Valley.
