Castaways

We had a wonderful lunch along the river on the patio. Friendly staff and excellent food. Will definitely be going back to try other menu options.

This is the first time I ate here. I've passed Castaway too many times. I've decided to stop and grab a bite to eat. I ordered an open face hot chicken sandwich with some Mashed potatoes on the side.
Boy O Boy! Let me tell you. This sandwich was the perfect portion for me. Thank you so much for this first experience dining here. 😃👌🥪

Wonderful food, great drinks. However disappointing service. Husband's meal came out 10min before mine. Manager was friendly and understanding of our frustration and made amends. The three star for service rests solely on the shoulders of the kitchen's timeliness. Waitress was amazing and very apologetic for something out of her control

We stopped at Castaways after attempting to kayak to the bay on a very windy day. In other words, we were kind of beat up and ready for a drink and some good food. That's exactly what we received at Castaways! In fact, great food! They were not particular busy on this day because the weather wasn't the best, but the servers and cooks were quick and friendly. I think what stood out about Castaways for me was the awesome food for a very fair price. We did not leave hungry and had plenty of leftovers for later. I didn't include a picture of their bread sticks because it was mostly eaten by the time I thought about taking pictures, but I highly recommend them! And the pizza ;) Definitely adding this place on my list of favorites.

Stromboli was amazing! I'm getting 3 meals out of mine.

Went in for drinks, and appetizers because of mid summer rainstorms flooding out our campground. Had Colleen as our bartender. She's fantastic! Super personality, great attention to detail, and quick. Highly recommend her if you're there Thurs, Fri, Sat, Sun, or Tues! Burnt brisket tips are out of this world. Same for fried pickles, and pretzel bites.

Large portions for good prices. Grandmas mac and cheese with chicken is amazing and will definitely fill you up. Can't go wrong with Castaways. The summer time is perfect to sit on the deck by the river. You can even boat up to the dock and eat.

Love Castaways, I just wish the music wasn't so loud during dinner at 630pm. It was difficult to hear and follow a conversation. The food was excellent. Service was friendly and fast. Very clean and inviting atmosphere. I wasn't a fan of a 2.00 charge to take an extra order of food home. Otherwise, I will definitely return.

We've been there a few times and every time the food and service was excellent. Perch, brisket, ribs even the mixed vegetables were all delicious!

First off the food is always excellent, the beers cold Just had a a issue with the waitress. She came and took the red pepper flakes & Parm shakers and took them to another table.
Just thought it was rude.

We stopped in after being at the state park and it was a hit. Live music was great and I am not a live music fan for the most part, but this guy was great with a large repertoire. I had the Lobster Mac and a house salad. The portion size was huge!! Easily could split between two adults and it was delicious!! I didn’t feel skimped on the lobster and the Mac and cheese was rich and creamy! The prices were reasonable especially with these portion sizes. *I’d already eaten several bites when I remembered I should’ve taken a pic.*

Update: it's been 7 months and I still talk about and crave this Lobster Mac! Looking forward to another trip up this summer!

I stopped by here after hiking a nearby trail and it seemed like the perfect fit. Its some pretty good bar food for a bar, the beer is ice cold. However I'm going to have to have their bloody mary the next time I go there. I have seen pictures and it seems pretty loaded with toppings and legendary.

Great food, service and awesome atmosphere. Beautiful waterside seating as well as boat ramps you can pull up to from the Kakawlin river

I've been here 3 times now over the past year or so and have no complaints. The food is consistently good, portion sizes for the price is on point, and the service is always great.

Nice view of the Kawkawlon River from the outdoor patio. The mac and cheese wrap with chicken and bacon was good. Liked the Firecracker drink. Service was good and staff friendly. Had a very nice lunch. Recommend.

I must say that I had a great experience at this place. Good food, great service. Reasonable prices. What more can you ask for. Will return and recommend .

A waffle fry standard sets the tone for an excellent experience on the water. Patrons are able to paddle right up to the dock so long they have restaurant attire. A great Sunday spot while others are closed. We started off with catfish bites which are almost a necessity at this point. The BLT goes all the way from fresh greens and tomato through the crispy bacon and toasted breading.

Restaurant 5/5 stars for service, food, accessibility, and atmosphere.
