Wonderful state park! Tucked away in the middle of the mitten on beautiful Budd Lake. Wilson state park has a lot to offer. Very nice playgrounds for both small children and adults. Nice beach with a beautiful pavilion along with restrooms. Foot path along the lake shore takes you from one end to the other of the park. Park grounds are very spacious, great for a nice walk or bike ride.

Small, but clean beach on Lake Budd with nice beach house & picnic area. Kayak/ canoe rentals available at park office. Firewood, ice, also available to buy. We stayed in mini- cabin & loved it! Nice playground for kids, horseshoes, volleyball, basketball, lawn checkers, etc. Would stay here again! Clean, modern bathroom & 4 shower stalls.

I stayed here for the first time. I loved it. Me and my family had a great stay. Clean bathrooms and showers. Friendly staff. They sell firewood and ICE until 10 pm. Many local places close earlier, so it's a nice option.

Staff person helped pick the site as we had no reservation. It was a great suggestion!
Loved the lake view. Site 8 was great with little deck overlooking the lake. Pizza delivered to site. Campers either side of us were great to visit with.

This is one of my favorite campgrounds, We've been coming here since I was a kid, so I've seen all the changes that have taken place. The bathrooms have been renovated, I feel we wait less time in line for a shower. They keep adding to the main playground, and grandkids love it. They also added an additional dump station. The Park Rangers are very friendly.

Very nice park. Hadn't been here in years. Loving the updates and hear there's more coming. This will for sure be one of the State Parks we visit more often!

I have always loved this park. Spent Memorial weekend there. They remodeled the bathrooms, which are very nice. The only con I have is the Dyson hand dryers are not that great. They blow cold air and are so high off the floor that my hands are are almost my shoulder height to dry, but that's not quite a big deal.

A true gem for state parks. Very clean. Great beach. Most helpful and friendly staff then any other state park. Definitely worth the price of a park pass or daily pass. We go a few dozen times a year

Wonderful campground, busy on the weekends and beautifully quiet during the week. Mosquitos are here but they don't seem to be vicious and I usually get dive bombed by them.

Great place to stop for a good swim! Very clean restroom facilities. Beach was not over crowded. Definitely will be returning next year fir a day trip. Will likely never camp there though because of close proximity to road and noise from traffic.

Beautiful area in Harrison Michigan. You are 20 miles from 20 lakes! Wilson State Park overlooks beautiful Budd Lake. The public launch is a short drive. The camping spots can be tricky especially if you have a large camper. We witnessed more than one camper struggle to fit his rig between trees and fire rings. Kyle from the DNR was friendly and helpful and the county police patroled the park and we're very friendly. Great experience and we look forward to visiting Harrison Michigan and Wilson State Park again!

Honestly wonderful place with a good lake view, Loads of benches, playground is really nice, there are restrooms, Garbage cans, ect.

One issue is the "bridge" part of the slide set seems a bit unstable and worrying.

Clean. Fairly quiet with the exception of passing road noise. Friendly staff. Local Sheriff passed through regularly. Clean beach. Every site has ondulations, so be prepared if bringing a rig.

Park is nice and well kept. Sites are for the most part good size. Bathrooms are top notch very modern and clean. Park is quite, local traffic is loud as it gets. I would come back!

Great campground. Beach is very well groomed. Since moving to Midland, it's been our #1 spot to head to.

Made my first trip out here for camping the weekend of May 19-21 of 2023. The staff was kind and helpful, despite my arriving at end of shift for them. They even helped get me set up for my firewood before they left. The park I found to be clean and pleasant. Backing a 34.5 foot class A into the spot was easy in the single-lane road. People were respectful and noise was almost nonexistent at night.

Very clean campground, but navigation could be easier as the signs make it difficult to tell where to go for each site, and which lane to use for checking out.

I was looking for a place that would let me relax and get back to being able to think about something other than politics and everything on the news. I was able to do this here. It was only a few days but it was magical.

Nice park, close to stuff (walking distance to two ice cream places,McDonald's, hardware store, gocarts and putt putt golf and the water. Road noise is not too bad in the back where we were. The Kid at the checkin desk picked out the site since we had no reservations (obviously during the week since most state parks are booked up for the weekends month in advance) and he picked the best site in the park. 125, we set up facing east and had shade from the trees in the morning and our awning at night. We were flanked by trees and the organization campsite which he said is barely used which kept us pretty secluded from the rest of the campground.

Lake is very beautiful, and has a sandy bottom so the feet was happy. Good park for the kids to play and a few charcoal grills for a cookout.
