Merchants Cafe

Very cute and quaint. Was crowded but expected as it was Saturday brunch time. Had to share a large table (3 of them, 5 of us) but they were very nice and social as needed. I ordered the Cubano sandwich and it was delicious. Ham was thick and tasted great. Sister had the eggs Benedict and enjoyed immensely. Best thing was it took us minutes to get there. We’re unsure why it took us that long to go. Will return soon!

A hopping place! Welcoming and hard-working waitstaff. Very nice selection of menu items; some comfortable choices, others of a more adventurous flair. Breakfast choice was the Cajun Steak Skillet with perfectly basted eggs on top of all kinds of luscious ingredients. We will return!

First time at Merchants Cafe today; great location near I-35, immediate service, and food came very quickly. Onion rings are tasty, BLT standard, and French toast was fresh. The building is a renovated old bank, and they’ve done a nice job holding onto some of the bank features like vault doors, woodwork, and light fixtures. It’s a simple no-nonsense small town cafe!

Best food in town, everything we’ve had exceeds expectations. Fries are especially incredible!! Great service every time we’ve been here as well

Kayla was absolutely amazing!! I’d come back just for the service she gave. Wonderful spirits and attitudes like her are rare these days. The food and the coffee was amazing as well!! Can’t wait to come back!

We stopped in for Breakfast on a Saturday morning. I had Biscuits and Gravy, Eggs, and a side order of Hash Browns, Wife had their #2 breakfast 2 Egg, Sausage, Home Fries, Toast. Both where good breakfasts. I think it was around $30.00 with drinks and tip. They had a pretty steady amount of people coming in the entire time we where there. We'll stop back.

Update I should have done this before. They has Country Fried Steak back. So it's Home Fries, Biscuits, Country Fried Steak, Eggs, Sausage Gravy, Always Good

Has not changed. Still great food and service.

Absolutely love the food here, no matter what it is. It's always busy, yet you always get your food in a timely manner. One of my favorite places in town!

Loved this place! walked in and you immediately felt like family. Servers were prompt and incredibly personable, the food was amazing, and the atmosphere was lovely! will definitely be returning!

Delicious food, good coffee and very nice employees! We drive to the cities and back regularly, and this was the 1st time stopping here on the drive home, we will definitely go again!

Once a bank, this independent restaurant still has safes, one of which serves as a walkway to a prep area. The food was excellent and we would definitely go back. There is parking in a lot to the left of the building as well as on street parking around the corner to the right. Well worth a few extra steps!

Had a cousin's wedding reception here and it was great. It was nice and clean and the server was very kind and helpful!! Great place to just eat at or to rent out for an event.

Delicious breakfast. This cafe is very clean and comfortable. The service is great and friendly. The food is delicious and homemade. I ordered the Florentine Benedict which had perfectly poached eggs and delicious hash browns. This little cafe is unassuming, and definitely worth a stop. What a treat.

So yummy! Best chicken fried steak I've ever had. Ask them about their daily bakery specials, you don't want to miss out.

The corned beef hash is top notch. It is home made, not the slimey canned mush that most places serve. The portions are huge! The prices are affordable. I love looking at the old architecture when I come in here. They still have the old original bank vault doors up. I do love coming to Merchants Café. I never leave not fully satisfied. To bad they are only open until 2 pm. I would love to come here for dinner as well. I have had their Ruben. It is the best I have ever had and I try them wherever I go. I would love to have their Ruben for supper but cannot due to the short hours... definitely worth stopping in for breakfast or lunch. Great food, great atmosphere and very friendly staff.

I have eaten at Merchant’s Cafe multiple times and recently had my bridal shower here. They catered the event and OH MY GOODNESS, the food was delicious. We had so many compliments and Emily was so so sweet and easy to figure things out with!

Love their biscuits & gravy and Creamy Chicken Wild Rice soup.

The Skillets are amazing! Very filling, will not need lunch after eating this! Make sure to ask for the cranberry wild rice bread, it's on point! I'll back soon!

We stumbled upon this place today and will absolutely return. They serve both breakfast and lunch all day from 6 am to 2 pm. The staff was really friendly.

My husband had an enormous Cowboy Burger which he loved. I had the Senior Battered Cod which, although not my favorite with just lemon which is how I usually eat fish, it was very good with the tartar sauce.

Loved the bank vaults left over from when it was a bank.

Great food and excellent service, cool aesthetic.
