This place is awesome. I've been coming for 12 years now and this is my "happy place." While some people have trouble with management, we never have. They have rules for a reason, which aren't unreasonable. Those that have problems seems to want to make their own rules. Although the fishing isn't what I'd like it to be, we roll with it. Getting on the lake on the pontoon is awesome. We have amazing neighbors and have made some great friends. I never seem to get enough if it there. I love my "happy place".

We have been at the resort for nearly two years now. The management does a great job of managing some of the very demanding personalities that the resort hosts. That being said, we have incredible neighbors and do not have any complaints. We use the resort year round. This is not a resort for you if you want to sit inside by yourself. However, if you want to visit and get to know people, this will quickly become your home away from home. We have established life long friends there, and there is an incredible amount activities to do. Do not let any negative reviews stop you from coming and seeing this for yourself.

We've been members for 24 years. The resort is family friendly, clean and a great place to make new friends. Love hanging out on the lake, stopping at the bars and restaurants too. Our 3 son's loved spending the summers there.

Just visiting the kids. Had a great time. Won prizes at the free bingo, every Saturday 2:00pm.

Staff was helpful when we needed to find the entrance to the venue as well as when we didn’t know how to use the slot machines! Thanks for a fun experience

This is a community of trailer style small homes. They are all very well constructed and decently spaced allowing for some area for yard activities. Most sites come with a campfire pit for you to cook weenies and smores to your hearts content. Mille Lacs Island Resort also offers a heated pool (with attached showers and restrooms) perfect for summer dives as well as a small swim beach. Most of the homes in the community are owned, some are for sale and few for rent. There is a small canal with slips residents will tie their boats up to with access to lake Mille Lacs. Mille Lacs Island Resort also offers some events throughout the year such as golf cart parades and a live DJ twice a year.

The resort manager has taken care of our few problems we had after purchase, the area has a lot to offer (more than just fishing), and we have made many great friends. We are absolutely happy with our decision.

Love, love, and more LOVE. Not super diverse, neighbors and a bit us and them despite we being there for over 40 years. The surroundings, and the lake make everything melt away.

It's a nice little community. Lots to do, friendly folk. Close enough to town, but far enough away. 😉
