Mugg's of Mille Lacs

We wandered into Muggs last night around 8:15 pm. One of our group has multiple food allergies. The bar tender and cook were so very accommodating. They were able to make a wonderful meal for her. It was appreciated more than you will ever know!!
We will be back for the food, but mostly for the excellent service by very caring employees!

Stopped in for lunch and a beer after taking a break from ice fishing. Server was above average. Beers were cold. Buffalo chicken dip with pita bread was really good. French fries were above average in quality for bar food. It was a busy place with meat raffles going on, but that didn’t affect the time it took for our server to help us.

My wife, Bonnie, and I love mugs! Our favorite is the cheeseburger and the walleye fingers! Our cousin, Danny Tramm, highly recommends this wonderful restaurant! We do too!

Portobello fries are to die for! Outta this world! (Already ate some before i took the picture) Equally amazing burgers, too!
The tap beer selection is fabulous... hard to choose just one! Typically, can't! Don't drive by, Mugg's is a must try!!

We bicycle'd in to town along the Soo Line trail while camping at nearby Father Hennepin state park. Worth the bike ride.

Busy crowd but the service was on point.

First off.. the atmosphere is great. Friendly staff and customers! We ordered the all u can eat fish which was cod. It was pretty good. The fries were nice and crispy. We asked for more fish and they brought us walleye because they ran out off cod. The walleye was delicious. Good time, fair prices and really good food! Will definitely be back!

Stopped into Muggs during a trip to Mille Lacs and I was surprised to find this great place in Wahkon. Food and service were excellent…so we stopped in the next day as well. Great little place, delish eats, and cool atmosphere. Highly recommend!

I have been coming here regularly for roughly 10 years. The menu is not extensive. But everything they have is excellent. Far far better burger than anyplace that I’ve found within a 25 mile radius. If they were in the more competitive metro area I’d still consider their quality among the very best.

Very good beer selection, with some taps consistently the same product and some regularly changing to a wide variety of craft beers.

The service is always very good. In the past they might get overwhelmed by large surges of customers. The quality never suffered. But wait time for meals were occasionally longer than usual. The kitchen has been expanded and service has been quick regardless of crowd size.

Food was amazingly good! Chili was definitely better than “3rd best in town” lol! Music was a bit loud for 4:00pm but that’s only thing I would have changed.

This place is great, so friendly and sweet and the food was so good! Also pup and kid friendly. Perfect stop for a family trip! Loved the French onion soup!!

We did the all you can eat fish fry. My Husband was a bit bummed. He thought the fries would be all you can eat too.

My wife and I have been in Mugg's of Mille Lacs several times.
We always enjoy the great burgers and cold beers or drinks. When you are looking for an excellent burger at a decent price; this is the place. The beef they are serving is not your ordinary brand of restaurant beef. They are serving beef from Thielen's Meat Market and the upgrade is very noticeable. We are happy to pay for this quality food experience.
We recommend Mugg's to all of our friends.

5 star freakin great food! Sorry, but am so very impressed. We started out with the walleye fingers, which were really tasty. But then the most amazing burger called Bourbon blue burger arrived and it was game over. So tasty it is hard to describe. But wait there's more... The loaded tots sounds like something you might get an a greasy joint, but these things were amazing and tasty and the sauce they have to dip them in head just the right amount of heat and flavor. By the way... Yep had to try the chili to and that's outstanding as well. Just go here and do yourself a favor :-)

Went to Muggs on Saturday 10/23/2021.

We have been here many times in the past year.

Over the summer they had low staff and could only serve burgers. Even during the tough times the food was very well executed and the one outdoor server was friendly and attentive to our needs.

This Saturday was no different. We sat inside, the place was filling up quickly.

It looked like they had a few more staff members around, the burgers and chicken sandwich were phenomenal. The staff were all on point with great attitudes and just an all around good time.

There is bar food, but this is just better. Please keep it up. It is refreshing now days to see consistency. It does not go unnoticed.

SO GOOD! We both had burgers and they were delicious. Good and fast service too. We will certainly be coming back when we're in the area.

Faster service than a bad toupee in a hurricane. Mushroom Swiss burger was amazing, char-broiled, perfectly cooked. Every bit had juicy grease running off your chin. This is a must stop in if you haven't. Great job guys.

I spent 3 nights at the hotel, spent a lot of time at the bar and the restaurant. Awesome bar tenders and staff. The food was good and reasonably priced. Definitely hoping to return again.

We had really good burgers at this little bar in Wahkon. I tried the most normal burger with the bacon cheddar, my husband had the sweet and spicy and my son had the one with peanut butter. We all enjoyed our selections and thought the fries were fresh and crispy and the drinks were good and cold. Everything hit the spot and we will definitely stop again when staying at Father Hennepin!

The bacan that came on my burger alone was enough to get me back there. Wow
