Nice center with friendly & inviting staff. The Saturday night "What's for Dinner?" program is well worth it! Lots of good educational information.

Great place for a comfortable overnight experience for a Scout or youth group. We slept in sleeping bags inside of a building with a great view of the wolves outside. After our Scout group enjoyed pizza for supper, the wolves dined on a road- killed deer. We appreciated the educational programming that the staff provided. Everyone enjoyed the experience and everyone learned something.

Amazing place to educate people on the importance of wolves and their amazing contributions to our ecosystem. Getting to see the wolves interact with their treats was adorable. Love it!

The International Wolf Center is a must visit! If you are coming to visit Ely or on the other side of the world, you have the opportunity to learn more about the ecosystem and how wolves play a vital role in keeping it in balance. There are educational exhibits, movies, virtual classroom tours, presentations and daily live observations of these majestic creatures. The IWF offers an educational experience that can be talked about, shared with others, while giving perspective on the importance of wildlife preservation, such as our beautiful brother wolf.
Our team at PhotographingInTheMoment enjoyed every aspect of the experience and hope you do as well.

This was a great place to spend a few hours learning about wolves! At the time I went, there were five wolves, including two Arctic wolves, which are stunning. The wolves could be seen easily from the indoor viewing area, and they were very active when I was there in the early afternoon. There are presentations throughout the day about the wolves, and the presenter was knowledgeable and friendly. They also have a couple of really nice exhibits about wolf protection and research. I really enjoyed this place and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

Had a great time here. Happened to be there during wolf enrichment time. So all the wolves were present and active for part of my visit. It was so cool to see how they interacted with the other wolves and with the staff. The staff was so knowledgeable and friendly...happy to answer all of my questions!

Small center with 5 "ambassador" wolves in a natural enclosure. Best viewings of the wolves are early morning or around 4 pm. Outside those times, they will be resting in their dens, and you may not see them. Lots of information on wolves from the staff and the smaller exhibit. We'll worth the small ($12-15 for adults) admission.

Nice place to visit to learn about wolves. The only place to see the wolves is from inside but at least they keep the glass clean so photos through the windows work well.

This is an amazing education center to learn more about wolves and their habitats. They have two theaters and a large space to be educated. There is a kids area that makes the learning fun.

At the time, there were five wolves and I was there long enough to see their interactions with each other and the caretakers.

The presenters are knowledgeable and open to all kinds of questions.

The gift shop was great to see books, coasters, magic mugs that change when the jug gets hot. And more.

Very cool place. Clearly they love the wolves and want to do what they can to preserve them, but they did give a fairly balanced approach and really focused on educating the public about these amazing examples of God’s handiwork.

We learned quite a bit from their knowledgeable presenters. Programs were offered throughout the day and the facility is well designed to give you great views of the “ambassador wolves”.

There is also a fair-sized exhibit/museum with a nice mix of signs to read and interactive demos. We spent just over 2 hours there and felt that was about right.

Don’t miss this one if you are in the Ely area.

Very informative and super cool to see the wolves! They come up to the glass to see you, and you get to see them run around and play! Staff very friendly and Carly (I think) gave a great presentation about the different wolves they have. Definitely a good idea to go in the morning right when they open.

The wolf center is a very cool place for people of all ages. The best time to see the wolves is in the morning in my experience. They let them out for the day right next to the viewing area.

What a neat place. I have always had an interest in wolves & think they are a neat animal. They are "cool" looking, but so graceful to watch. This place was very informative and set up nicely. It's nice they give "classes" if you want to call them that, where they pass information about wolves.

It was neat to see the wolves in a natural habitat setting, even if behind glass. Wish they had an outdoor viewing area, to be able to take pictures without a reflection of glass. I drove 9+ hours to see this place, and to me, it was worth it.

A truly wonderful facility! The people there are all VERY knowledgeable! My family and I had a fabulous time. The entire place is beautiful and has activities for all ages to enjoy learning about such magnificent animals. We took some stunning photos of the wolves up close to the glass. Thank for you all the staff teaching us so much about these wolves!

Interesting and educational. Terrific displays. Nice observation area where they do an enrichment activity at noon, 2:00, & 4:15 so you can see the wolves come out of the forest. Informative talks in the auditorium throughout the day. A 51-minute continuous loop video. Gift shop.
