The employees for the most part are the only good thing about either store, excluding management. They train you to follow the “10 second rule” should any food be dropped on the floor. The Madison store puts WAY too much cheese on their pizzas, customers have to request they “go easy on the cheese”. While on the other hand the Eaton store employees get watched on cameras all day and will get a phone call chewing them out for putting too many toppings on a pizza. The Inconsistency between the two stores is tremendous, no two people are trained the same way. The Mac n cheese, goulash and other hot foods are put into hinged containers, dated on the bottom for 10 days ahead of the date it is being heated and portioned out; then each container is put into a warmer for a maximum of 3 days before they’ll throw it out and put a “fresh” one into the warmer. The subs are fantastic when the rolls aren’t squished like flatbread and cut unevenly, leaving the fillings to fall out when you take a bite. The idea behind getting rid of the second registers in both stores and switching them to run on one register at a time was so baffling, customers now wait longer and experience a pour shopping experience due to the lack of thinking by management. The owners son can often be spotted snorting (what is assumed to be) cocain behind the front counter and customers have complained about “a white powdery substance “ on the bathroom sink at the Eaton store. The frozen bags of pizza toppings, egg patties, bacon, etc, are left open in the stock freezers letting the food get freezer burnt, often falling out of the bags altogether and left laying on the inside of the freezers. There is a huge hole directly above the atm at the Eaton store that has exposed wires dangling about. Stopping at the Eaton store in the rain is not a suggested idea, the bathroom area floods to the ankles. Speaking of the Eaton store bathroom, the toilet isn’t even bolted to the floor; customers have complained numerous times about “nearly falling over” while using the bathroom because the toilet is so unstable. the amount of overcharging at either store is dumbfounding. Anyone who drinks twisted tea should avoid picking up a 12 pack there, unless paying almost $25 each is something you’re into. The turn-over rate in atrocious. They have no compassion for people with children who have emergencies occur or need to request time off. And if you get injured and are out of work for any period of time, consider your days numbered upon your return. They will have you replaced before you get back to work and then slowly cut your hours down until they finally fire you. The best reason for termination so far has been: (from the owner, Wayne Smith, himself) “I think it would be best for you to seek employment elsewhere, that’s your reason.” They are very nice and understanding when you first start, then as soon as they get sick of you they will make you’re life miserable there. The manager at the Eaton store is rude, careless and doesn’t belong in a position where interaction with other human beings is necessary. Any new ideas are shot down immediately, they don’t like the idea of any changes whatsoever. Hopefully when the owner retires and someone new is put in charge major changes will occur and it will become a friendly, inviting place to work and shop without being ripped off, fed unsanitary food from the floor or having to witness blatant drug use from employees.
