Looking for a cozy restaurant, this is the place. Depending on when you dine, quiet atmosphere where you can hear your dining partner over vintage music. (Unlike chain restaurants with blaring music). Food is very good. I had the eggplant parm. Warmed bread would have been nice, but it just arrived before seated.

Another absolutely gem of a Italian restaurant in Monmouth County. Having traveled to Rome for business and pleasure I’ve become a big fan of Roman Style cooking! My favorite restaurant of all my travels is in Rome so stay tuned. But, I digress, Assaggini Di Roma does Roman Style cooking to perfection! I’m a big fan of tripe and they always have it on the menu! BYOB with attentive Staff and wonderful owner Dee! Only note prices on website old and need to be updated per restaurant menu. Still priced fair to portions for value.

Absolutely excellent Italian food!! My husband said their Homemade sausage was the best he’s ever had. Calamari and shrimp appetizer had just a touch of heat. Yum! My shrimp and asparagus over pasta had a smooth garlic flavor and was cooked perfectly. The Osso Bucco was tender and flavorful. Good bread with quality olive oil while we were deciding what to order. Highly recommend!

Our daughter invited us to have dinner here and this was our first visit to Assaggini. WOW! We are fans of Italian food and this was the best of the best. Great menu, great service, and great atmosphere.

Been to this restaurant a number of times over the last year. Have never been disappointed. Went to dinner this past Saturday night; we were a total of 10 people. Food was delicious; I had the Tripe appetizer and Pork Chops! Service was awesome; thank you Isabella! Going back again Easter Sunday... Can't Wait!

What more can I say? Wonderful, friendly service. Setting was perfect. Food -- delicious. Calamari app done perfectly, the pork chops were huge and just savory. Finished with lemoncello dessert. We can't wait to return!!

I almost wish I never went. Now I have to return many times to try everything on the menu.
Food was spectacular. Service was attentive and just wonderful. Cannot say enough about this place. All around perfect dinner. Byob was a nice touch also.

We had a catering order last night. The food was absolutely delicious. One tray of food as beautiful as the next. Generous portions. The trays were delivered with great care and with everything we needed to keep it warm and serve it. I highly recommend this restaurant.

We used to enjoy Yesterday's until COVID came around and they made drastic changes which turned us away. Then we found Assaggini Di Roma the courses are delicious and plentiful you won't walk away hungry and it's all freshly made everyday authentic Italian meals that taste amazing BYOB you won't be disappointed enjoy.

Dimaris is your host and makes you feel right at home. The servers are friendly and efficient. A Great BYOB! Oh and the food!? FANTASTIC! YES YES YES

12 people and not 1 complaint. Everything from appetizers to dinner and then dessert was amazing. Our waiter was the BEST we wanted for nothing he was spot on.

First visit, what a hidden gem ! Both our dinners were outstanding and huge portions. Very fairly priced ! Service was great and atmosphere was fun. Will become a regular stop for a great Italian dinner.
