Surf Taco - Long Branch

Very busy on a Saturday night but the staff was excellent. The food is delicious and everything was clean and presentable. This is the best surf taco on the shore. I recommend the steak quesadilla. The salsa is always fresh and bottomless. The chips are cooked to perfection and have just the right amount of salt. The counter people are amazing. I would eat here every night.

We found Surf Taco after touring Monmouth and our son wanting to check out the surfing waves at Long Branch Beach. It was slow for a Friday afternoon, but the food was excellent. It was fresh and came out fast. The establishment was clean and the staff helpful. We had the Surf Nachos, Mavericks, Buffalo Solidier, Chicken Taco and Shrimp Taco. Higly recommend!

Lots of seats and tables, menu on board, can get soda from fountain or bottles from fridge. You get food and then you can add spices at the bar, so you determine how spicy or mild you want your order. Taco chips are crispy and waffle fries are always a great side order.

Yummy place to stop after a nice day at the beach! Just a couple blocks up off the ocean. Ample amount of street parking. Nice seating outside the restaurant. I ordered the teriyaki chicken taco which was topped with lettuce , tomatoes, cheese & pineapple ! We also ordered the buffalo chicken quesadilla which was awesome. My friend got the chicken finger taco & she’s obsessed. They have a salsa bar which was nice. You got to choose between 4 different types of salsa ranging from mild to super spicy !! Chips are served with most dishes. Guacamole & sour cream sold separately. Definitely looking forward to dropping back here when I’m at the long branch beach again!!! Try it out !!!

Great food, the staff is friendly and it's at a great location. The food always tastes fresh and I like that it isn't overly salty like a lot of restaurants. Their portions are also generous you'll never leave hungry! One of my favorite places to go in Long Branch - highly recommended.

Pretty standard Surf Taco. Good food, fine service and a little overpriced.

This location is a but lacking on attention to detail. We were served brown guac, which they gladly refunded, but it shouldn't have been served in the first place. And there was a sign up for Halloween specials when it was the end of February. These things make me wonder what else they aren't paying attention to.

Wow!! Service was really on point at this location! In fact this is the best location I’ve been to. Place looks really nice inside and it’s a really great place to grab a bite after classes or while you’re at the beach! It’s literally a 5 min walk to the beach!! Get the Sunsets Classic Burrito and the Buffalo Soldier Burrito! Both are really amazing!! If you want the best Taco Salad, get theirs!! Nothing at Surf Taco disappoints!

Simple, reasonably priced, and delicious. Good salsa bar. The pineapple habanero salsa is fantastic.

Easy parking as well, great place for lunch on the shore.

surf taco is a MUST VISIT for this area! food is always quick and so delicious and not expensive at all! there’s a salsa bar where you can choose from four different flavors of salsas for chips that come with your meal. burritos are HUGE and worth every penny and the wraps and tacos are amazing, too! parking is a little difficult if it’s during season, but other than that - definitely a great stop!

Been once and will definitely return. Grabbed a blackened Mahi burrito to go and it was excellent. The inside / atmosphere is nice, clean, includes a salsa bar. Looks great for dine-in.

Good old skool entertainment for the kids and great conversation for the adults, while enjoying unparalleled buffalo chicken burrito and fish tacos galore! Simply the best on the shore and funky to boot.

Atmosphere is nice and the food is great. Most orders come with tortilla chips and the food is usually plentiful and worth its price.

Edit. As of October 2022 Surf taco has started to bring back old favorites, including my beloved crispy taco.

I was ordering from surf taco every week until June when the menu changed. They got rid of the crispy taco and we haven’t been back since. RIP crispy taco.

Usually go to the one in Red Bank. Stopped in this location while visiting the beach and boardwalk. Clean restaurant, good service. Conveniently located near the start of the boardwalk.

Surf taco always hits the spot especially after a day on the beach!! Can’t go wrong with the combo number 2 (two tacos of your choice with rice beans chips and a fountain beverage). The guacamole had great flavor and no tomatoes which I personally prefer. Food always comes out relatively quickly and my order is always correct.

We visited this place on a Friday afternoon and the place was fairly busy. The food is delicious and appears to use quality ingredients! The food portions served are of good value.

The misses and I had a delightful dinner.
The ladies oh shift were pleasantly professional while we had dinner and a unscheduled show. Enjoyed the debauchery from the street rats that rode bicycles, was like ringling brothers came to town. I offered assistance to maintain order while the ladies followed through parental-like disciplining, though, they declined. Felt the misses and i could get a few extra haha-ha's. Oh well. Maybe next time?

Chill vibe and amazing food. If you're near one of their locations, your beach day isn't complete without a visit. The Surf Taco chain of restaurants is unique to New Jersey, and they pride themselves and staying true to their roots. Support local privately owned businesses!

The staff is one of shining points, friendly, and helpfull. We had leftovers, and they brought us boxes to pack with, we didn't even have to ask. So cool!

Surf Taco at the Beach… doesn’t get better than that! You can taste the freshness of the food, so good!
