Zinna's Bistro

My best friend suggested to go here for dinner. My first time, her second. The restaurants decor is very eclectic. It's located in an office park so it's off the beaten path, not where one might expect a restaurant to be unless of course if you are a local, then you probably know or will want to know, but easily found with the Google or Waze driving app. They have a very nice outdoor patio for dining that overlooks a pond which I'm sure in warmer weather it's really nice. I plan on going back then and sitting outside. They take reservations, but we got there early without one on a Sunday evening and were able to get right in. Brian was our waiter and made some great suggestions. We started out with an appetizer which was Ma's homemade meatballs which I thought was very good. Then onto our entrees. My friend had the chicken parm which she enjoyed and I had the slow braised short rib in a delicious bacon jam recommend by our waiter. Great call Brian. It was delicious!!! Their portions are very generous, we both left with leftovers and looking forward to my lunch tomorrow. We did not try any of the desserts as we were both full. This is a BYOB, and I would recommend making the trip.

What a wonderful experience. Came to celebrate our mom’s birthday and Brian our servers was AMAZING. food was amazing and the restaurant is so fun and quirky. Definitely will be back.

If you’re looking for delicious Italian cuisine and great service..This is your place. For appetizers we had “Ma’s Meatballs “ , 3 tasty meatballs smothered in red sauce. Our main course was the “Drunken Chicken “, possibly the best chicken parmigiana you will ever have. Jessica was our server , she was polite,personable and attentive.On the way out we ran into the owner for a little history of the place.She was also polite and personable. Overall, an absolutely wonderful dinning experience.

Sweat heat calamari: great, would eat again. Crispy yet not dry or oily, and their sauce is excellent

Lobster Mac and Cheese: great. Saucy and chunky. Would order again & recommend to others

Poutine: good. Very filling

Black Garlic Quesadia: great, soft, not dry, really good. Would eat again


Pappardelle mascarpone: great, would eat again. Can't go wrong with chicken, cream, dried tomatoes

Spaghetti Puttanesca (V): great, would eat again. Lovely combination of veges and peppers

Gemelli Nero: great, would try again with chicken instead of sausage next time

Shrimp Fusili: Great! Would eat again. Flavorful sauce.


Mini Cannoli: excellent, would eat again.

Mom's carrot cake: a bit too sweet for my taste. Would not order again

Overall, a great place to enjoy a lazy lunch/dinner. It does get crowded during lunch hours and will take you quite a while from ordering to receiving your checks. For us it took 2 hours+, having sat down at 11:20.

I highly recommend this restaurant for a family dinner. The food is amazing and the staff members are very friendly, making you feel like family. Best Italian Bistro Restaurant in NJ!! 10 of 10! I love it!

We had my daughter’s bridal shower here and the food was fantastic, the atmosphere is delightful and the service is impeccable! Everyone raved about Zinna’s. We dealt with Tracey then Karissa, they were both incredibly personable, helpful and professional. Highly recommended for your special event or just to go for an amazing meal, they will not disappoint!!

Great restaurant hidden around corporate buildings and offices. Outdoor seating with a nice view of a small lake. Ample indoor seating with great decor and ambiance. The food is delicious and portions are large. Would definitely return.

Went back for a third time and Zinna's did not disappoint!!! Looking forward to the next time!

Zinna’s is so beautiful and the staff will ensure a wonderful private event. We threw a dinner party for my mother-in-law’s 80th birthday. There were 30 guests, and our waiter, Dennis, did a fabulous job. The food was served family style, and the platters were melamine which made passing a breeze. We had 4 courses plus dessert, and Dennis checked in with my sister-in-law and I often, to make sure the timing was just right and all of our needs were met. Highly recommend!!

This is such a great restaurant beautifully decorated especially now for the holidays! The food is absolutely delicious. The serve was impeccable.They have a great menu and desserts are to die for! And it BYO!

My top place to go when visiting my mother. The food is always excellent, the atmosphere inside and out is wonderful and service is always great. This past visit we celebrated mom's last round of chemo, we sat outside and Brian made our celebration lunch an amazing one. Thank you Brian, you went above and beyond to meet mom's needs. Much gratitude!

I can’t explain enough how amazing Zinna’s is. We’ve been going here for over 10 years, got engaged here and celebrated many occasions. The hospitality from everyone is remarkable. Whenever you walk in you feel like you’re with family and greeted with smiles. The waiters are superb, the food is always amazing and the atmosphere is authentic. Highly recommend for any occasion!! We love this place 😄

Everything here is delicious... salads, pasta, seafood. Especially love the black garlic mac & cheese! Nice atmosphere, service, decor as well. BYOB so bring a nice bottle of wine to enjoy with your meal.

3rd trip here in recent weeks. This one for lunch. This place is amazing. We ordered the Lemon Ricotta pasta and the Pollo Balsamico. Both were amazingly perfect. For a starter we had the sweet heat calamari and it was so soft and tasty not at all chewy.

They have found the formula to be an amazing restaurant.

The pasta dishes are incredible and the servers just love working there - so friendly. It is BYOB.

Edit: went back for Mother’s Day. Family ordered the burger, Vodka Rigatoni and the black garlic shrimp. Ended with Tiramisu and a Cappuccino. Top notch service and food. Tirmisu was the best we ever had.

This was my first time but it won’t be my last. Zinna’s outstanding menu selections, exceptional food quality, plate presentations, great service and ambiance sealed the deal. The outdoor seating options with lake views and the decor in general makes this restaurant a standout. BYOB adds to the value. It was just a perfect setting to celebrate friend’s birthday. I will be back!

We held a baby shower at Zinnas on a Saturday afternoon. We had 75 guests. It was spacious and the service was excellent. Its a BYOB so this helped us keep the expense reasonable. The food was absolutely delicious and plentiful. Everyone raved about the food and the unique bistro. There were 3 courses served family style. We choose 3 entrees from a large menu selection. We had chicken parm, penne vodka and Shrimp Francais. Arranging the shower was easy as there is an Event Manager who is readily available and very helpful. The owners were present at the shower and very attentive. I highly recommend Zinnia’s for lunch, dinner, inside or outside. I am very appreciative of everyone at Zinnias, including our servers, who made this day such a success.

Over the years I have eaten at Zinna’s a few times. This was my first time not in a big family group. My wife and I decided on Zinna’s for our wedding anniversary. It was perfect on a Sunday night. BYOB, no reservations and we got a table in minutes. The first question by the server was, “Are you here for a special occasion?” We explained and we started looking at the menu. Garlic knots came out, an Arnold Palmer, Sweet Heat Calamari (highly recommend ) and two Veal Comos. The veal was very tender, mushrooms, brandy cream was smooth and and potatoes were superb. Timing by the server was impeccable, she checked in a few times. For dessert, I had the apple pie à la Mode, the photo does not do it justice. (They put an anniversary message on the plate and gave me and extra scoop of ice cream, we did not ask, the thoughtfulness it made our night.) We will definitely be returning. In addition, the parking is easy, view over the lake, wonderful mix of music with Sanatra, Como and the likes, and fun decor made it a perfect date spot. We had plenty to take home…

Super classy, food was excellent, atmosphere is very nice (and rooster themed?), and the staff was very nice. Will definitely be coming back here if I'm ever in the area again.

We didn’t get to sit facing the water so I didn’t get to take a photo of it, but it’s very pretty.

We sat outside on the front patio. Lots of fun decor using empty wine bottles. Love that the owners have gardens on premise where they grow produce for the restaurant.

Had the pleasure of speaking with one of the owners and she was so nice and passionate about what they do here!

I had The Godfather, which is spin on a chicken parm sandwich, but it adds prosciutto and vodka sauce which elevates this to a whole new level.

Will definitely be coming back and making a reservation for a water view! This is also a BYOB restaurant so bring your favorite bottle and enjoy!

Have eaten at Zinna's many times over the years, as well as doing catering for various family functions; but this was our first sit down meal in the new location. Staff is great, and the ambiance is very welcoming. We had the calamari and glazed chicken wings as appetizers, both had a great combo of sweet and spice. I had the signature salad and my wife got the salmon. Both of us were pleased with everything from the presentation to (of course) the taste. My daughter got an order of meatballs and an order of mozzarella sticks...it was like a make your own meatball parm, but it was tremendous. For dessert we had the fresh blueberry buckle with vanilla ice cream and my daughter got banana gelato. Everything was excellent! Staff were knowledgeable and attentive. Highly recommend Zinna's for a reliably excellent meal

Went to zinna's bistro for dinner and it was great. Had a chicken parm with home made pasta. My better half had the tuna and we had a calamari appetizer. The calamari was excellent with a sweet and spicy glaze, crispy breading and they were huge. The staff was awesome, friendly and we had a really really great time in this place. Thank you Zinna's.
