J & M Bakery

I absolutely love J&M bakery in Middletown, NJ! Their pastries are unmatched, and I can't imagine going anywhere else for baked goods. While I have respect for other local shops, J&M's pastries, especially the lobster tails, are to die for. The filling is divine, and you won't be disappointed. They are definitely a staple for my family on Sunday. And J&M's commitment to traditional Italian recipes and high-quality ingredients shines through in every bite. If you're in the area, make sure to stop by and taste the difference for yourself. J&M bakery is a true gem!

The cake I ordered was amazing. It was chocolate fudge icing with chocolate cake. Inside was a raspberry and custard filling. We were so happy with his birthday cake. Can't wait to eat the rest. Thank you

I remember when J&M opened. My father used to take me there for the Italian pastries which were always the best. I recently got married and had only a couple of weeks to plan the wedding. Matt and his staff were terrific and very helpful. The cake was not only beautiful, but it was out-if-this-world delicious. Thank you J&M!!

For my husbands 69th birthday party , I wanted to order his FAVORITE cake.. Italian cheese cake. It’s hard to find the real deal until Matt at J & M bakery! He customized a 10” cake that served out perfectly to our guests!! IT WAS THE BEST ITALIAN CHEESE CAKE!! Better than Brooklyn.. yeah I said it!! Thank you J & M bakery!!

Ordered a birthday cake. It was chocolate with a layer of raspberry. It was moist and delicious! The chocolate was extremely rich. Very impressive quality. I have recently moved to middletown, and am thrilled that we have a terrific local bakery.

Absolutely incredible! I have never had anything that I didn’t love! The pignoli and rainbow cookies are amazing! The staff also so friendly and accommodating.
You won’t be disappointed.

Bakeries are a thing of mine so when I travel I like to find the best one!
I will go no where else while visiting New Jersey in the future!
J&M Bakery is a small family owned Bakery but don't let that deter you they have a plethra of hand made baked goods.
Prices are very reasonable considering the amazing quality. Staff are super friendly and patient with customers!

Been coming here with my parents since I was a child. The best bakery I have ever been to. Staff is always super sweet, super clean and sanitary, reasonable prices, and the bakery itself feels so homey and welcoming, so many delicious treats displayed enough to make you feel like a kid in a candy store again. Whatever you do, always always always get their Italian cookies. The best there is. Highly recommend!

This place is great! They made my daughters 1st birthday cake and it came out super cute! My guests raved about how great and delicious it was. Their assortment of Italian cookies were also super delicious. I'll definitely be using J & M Bakery in the future!

Good bakery. There desserts are good and the staff is friendly. I went there once with my husband when I was maybe nine months pregnant, I must have mentioned something about the blueberry scones and the owner handed me one for free as we were walking out the door. Nice man. By the way the blueberry scones are delicious!!!!!

My go to place for when I need dessert! Best cookie brownies in the whole world and nicest employees!

Best Lobster Tails I've had around here

Love this bakery! All the breads and baked goods are always fresh and delicious! There isn't anything that I have tried that I didn't like. Have been going to this bakery since I was little. Love the staff too! Always so nice and friendly!

We stopped by for the delicious Lobster Tails for dessert. The cases looked so good, like the true old fashioned bakery’s you don’t see any more. My friend and I were talking about some of the cakes, like the Brown Derby. Haven’t seen it years. I think it was the owner waiting us, he told the young girl to box one up and just gave it to us. No charge, who does that? It was such a nice gesture I had to share. Can’t wait to come back. A true gem in Middletown. And btw, the Tails were fabulous!

We wanted a beach themed wedding cake and J and M did not disappoint! Our cake was delicious and aesthetically pleasing. Joe was helpful and very easy to work with. We highly suggest the cannoli filling cake. J and M will definitely have our continued business. Yum!

They have the freshest, best cookies in the Two River area. Primarily an Italian bakery, with fabulous cannoli and biscotti, they also have wonderful Linzer tarts, hamantaschen, and rugelach. Also great sugar cookies. I haven’t sampled their pastries as I try to stay away from those but they look scrumptious. Everything there is good. They carry some bread but not a lot. Their scones are delicious, especially if you can get to them before they have put sugary icing all over them. One of these days I will break down and try the Irish soda bread.

Had the chocolate brownie cake last night. Probably one of the best chocolate cakes i've had in years and only 19.99. There's a reason why this place has been in business for 40+ years, run don't walk there, you will burn more calories that way.
