Fuji Japanese Restaurant

We love this place. It doesn't look like much from the outside but the food is better than other spots around. We have not had a bad meal yet. Staff has always been pleasant and attentive.

I have to say, this really is some of the best sushi in town. I've had my fair share of sushi experiences (including in Asia) and absolutely love this place. Prices are also the best around and portions are very large. My favorite from here is the King Kong roll and the special crazy spicy tuna roll. Only things I'd say they need to work on is the service for to-go orders. You'll often have to wait longer than they tell you, but honestly the food is so good it is worth the wait. Thanks for fantastic sushi, Fuji.

I went one time last year and so far 2024 have gone back 5 times. Well going back tonight and tomorrow. So that makes 7 times so far. I bring different people and the all love the food and the great staff. I highly recommend this restaurant, and you can bring your own wines. So don’t hesitate to stop in and enjoy fabulous food, you just may get LEO as your cook. ❤❤

I live over in Union Beach and didn't think there was much around me for a casual date night. We found this place online, and it was BYOB, so we figured we'd try it out.

We both actually enjoyed it a lot. It's a small little Japanese & Sushi restaurant and I think some of the reviews don't really consider that. There aren't a ton of people working there which is fine with us, but they are fast and they move through the restaurant the best they can. We were seated immediately, and we had our food in under 10 minutes of ordering; and the waitress kept following up with us.

The food is actually great. Sushi was well balanced and fresh, soup was warm on a cold night, and the ginger salad was on par with any Japanese restaurant I've ever been too. Prices were more than reasonable and fair too. I grabbed a menu for takeout and to have. Definitely will be going back and definitely recommend.

Unbelievable food. One of the few places around here with fresh, high quality fish and a huge selection of specialty roles, all of which had beautiful presentation. Overall a great experience.

We had a lovely first time visit and thoroughly enjoyed the hibachi experience. The friendly, attentive chefs and owners succeed in making the diners feel comfortable. The food is delicious and generous portions. I highly recommend this restaurant!

A gold standard for Hibachi dining. The food has always been top notch. I have always left extremely satisfied and with leftovers. It's commonly said that they are a bit pricey, but they absolutely knock it out of the park every time. They should charge more. It's that good.

Moved to PA for over a year and came back to visit. Had dinner here again and now I wish I never moved 🤣. No comparison, the food here is the best! Only complaint is that there is not enough wait staff, but it's worth it regardless.

I’m a regular here. I used to go here everyday for lunch a several years ago (as they have great lunch specials) and still consistently delicious. Both their sushi and hibachi are awesome. And the main lady there is attentive, has the place clean, and is friendly. Always my go-to spot. They also use real soy sauce and not that garbage in a packet!

I love the food here. Whether I'm here for the hibachi or sushi. They have the best Kani salad around! I have yet to not enjoy my meals here.

I was shocked at the quality and quanty of the food we got here!

First time customer. Very short staffed, and the staff that was there busted their behinds to serve the customers. About an hours wait for our food, I ordered steak and shrimp, the steak was excellent, very tender. Shrimp was delicious also. I'm not a fan of Japanese cuisine, so this impressed me. Even the salad was better than what I've been served in other Japanese places. I hope to go back soon.

My family and I are regulars at Fuji and have been for 5+ years now! Ever since quarantine started my sister and I go to Fuji at least once a week. Amazing food, amazing and friendly staff, and great prices!! I’ve always felt welcome at Fuji before the pandemic eating hibachi and after having nice conversations picking up delicious food.

The food is always amazing plus they are very good at avoiding certain ingredients or making requests for things on the side, I’m a picky eater with allergies and it always comes out right and I feel accommodated.

Just delicious! We adore this place. The food is fresh, yummy and affordable, especially the lunch specials. We miss eating inside but have had wonderful experiences with picking up.
