Lombardi's

This was my first visit to this location after passing it many times on my way to Minnewaska State Park. It's been in business for 50 years. There is a reason why it survived the ages and the pandemic. Reservations are required, so do not expect to arrive unannounced. Upon entering, there is a very aromatic essence of baking bread, which is heavenly. There are fresh loaves of different types of home made bread which you can purchase without staying for dinner. In my case, I put one aside and brought it home. It's that good. We were seated promptly and service (by David) was direct and on point. A polite introduction followed by a drink order. I decided on a Limocello Martini. Made well and quite refreshing. Generally, you don't think of a Martini being refreshing, but the limocello incorporated into the mix makes it that way. Give it a try. We followed with a table size appetizer caller a Palermo. An antipasto for three or more! Fresh homemade mozzarella cheese, sliced tomato, pecorino, and provolone cheese. Accompanied with mushrooms, roasted red peppers, artichoke hearts, and assorted olives. Seasoned with extra virgin olive oil, oregano, and garlic. Soppersatta along side side thinly sliced prosciutto and capicola. Served with homemade garlic bread topped with mozzarella cheese and chopped fresh tomato seasoned with garlic and herbs. An excellent starter if you have a few people. This was followed by house sales which were very good as well. One diner also ordered New England Clam Chowder. I never saw so many clams in NECC. This truly needs to be acknowledged as you generally do not see this in many places. Dinners ordered were Grilled Salmon - Drizzled with extra-virgin olive oil, topped with lemon and garlic, served on a bed of spinach. An excellent choice if you are into Salmon. Our other dish was Bolognese, accompanied by house made cavatelli. I added a side order of Broccoli Rabe too. YUMMIE! They make their own pasta, and there is an upcharge for it, but worth it. Serving sizes were adequate. We only ordered one desert which was Bananna Cream Pie - it's made to order! A graham cracker crust layered with vanilla custard and fresh bananas. Topped with homemade whipped cream and chocolate shavings. It's not what I expected since it is listed as pie but served in a small bowl of sorts. It was very tasty and a fine ending to an excellent meal. I highly recommend Lombardis if you are looking for a fine Italian Cuisine restaurant in the Hudon Valley. Remember, reservations are required, and it is a cash only establishment. They also do a smashing take-out service, too.

Wow wow wow ! From start to finish a wonderful dining experience . The dishes are well presented abs delicious . We will return !

Lombardis is our "go to" for takeout Lasagna meals. Salad is simple but delicious. Lasagna homemade thin layers not overpowered by cheese, sauce is absolutely delicious and plentiful.

Amazing food and amazing service at Lombardi's. Bring cash with you! My bank declined my ATM withdrawal, so we had a limited budget, but everything we had was amazing. Can't wait to go back. Purchased a gift card for my parents as a gift. Definitely authentic italian eating. Love it, highly reccomended!

Driving by and stopped in for dinner. Reviews were mixed but we had a good experience.
The owner greeted us and had a table set up for us. He was very nice.
Very basic decor but nice and it was clean. The service was decent but the standout was the food. Homemade bread with oil to dip and a salad included with the meals both were delicious.
My husband had the eggplant parm which came with a side of pasta and he ordered a side of meatballs. He said his meal was very good.
I had a special fettuccine with sausage, broccoli rabe, roasted papers and Kalamata olives. Delicious. Pasta was obviously homemade and really good. It was extremely tasty and a very large portion.
Overall I would recommend going we really enjoyed our meals.

Our first experience here. Katie was excellent!! From the delicious bread, amazing fried calamari, fresh salads, fantastic entrees to the yummy desserts… A wonderful dinner from start to finish!!

Traditional Italian, yet generous amounts of olive oil and herbs gave the food a unique touch. I led the focaccia and the homemade pasta and bread were also great. The staff was friendly and attentive.

What a great place , when you walk in you are greeted by the smell of fresh baked bread and whatever is cooking! The food is to die for and you have to try the lasagna! The owners are very nice and the chef must be someone special because the food is delicious!

These lovely people took amazing care of us while we were on standby, parked in their field. Eggplant parmigiana, cannolis, and coffee. Great experience, hospitality when we needed it most. Would definitely come here again! Thanksgiving everyone!

Great place. The food was absolutely delicious ...and the bread. I saw the building from the outside only due to covid-19 but the building itself is very beautiful with its stonework and flowers. In a field adjacent to the restaurant, they had tents, tables, chairs, tables with umbrellas prepared for customers if you wished to experience their outdoor dining due to covid-19. We ordered our meals, a bottle of wine and we relaxed comfortably in this outside area while enjoying this delicious wine and nature. My date brought wineglasses and silverware, which added a thoughtful and romantic personal touch. We ended up staying from 6 to 8 p.m. enjoy a wonderful evening. Thank you Bob for asking me on a date and choosing this wonder restaurant. Thank you Lombardi's for providing outrageously delicious food, wine and a pleasant outside dining experience. It was a lovely and memorable evening.

Decided to go here for dinner with my buddy after our mechanic recommended it, and we’ll definitely be back. Our server Brooke was awesome. The food was delicious. Sangria on the rocks A+ It gets busy and seating is limited so definitely call ahead.

Family owned Italian Restaurant with home made pasta. The food was very good, and the servers were very friendly. Serving sizes were very generous. Table reservations are highly recommended, because this is a small place that fills up quickly. This is a CASH ONLY place, but they have an ATM

Lovely atmosphere and even better food. Amazing homemade bread and pasta. Still haven't been dissapointed after two trips. Great staff as well! A nice classy dinner if I do say so myself.
