This farm-to-table restaurant is truly a hidden gem, offering excellent German cuisine with a historic twist. Overall, it's a delightful experience.

Service was top-notch; food was delicious. The fries in particular were amaaazing, and the chipotle aioli that came with the burger was fantastic. Sititng outside was relaxed, and the view was lovely. Looking forward to returning.

Amazing.
First of all the service was great. Our waitress was amazingly attentive even during a packed time. There was no delay in service or checking in on us periodically. Very welcoming and friendly.

Food was fabulous. Good selection to choose from, and you really can't go wrong with any of them. Great drink selection as well (even a big selection of digestifs).

If you can, definitely save room for dessert. They even usually have a vegan dessert available, which I often struggle to find.

The building itself is adorable. If you have good weather, absolutely sit outside on their covered deck. But the inside has a very cozy atmosphere.

Incredibly beautiful views of the surrounding natural landscapes, spacious outdoor terrace from which to view sunsets, and delicious food all round. Just don’t expect friendly waitresses.

All around great restaurant. Beautiful location with a wonderful outside covered patio with views of sprawling flowering trees. The inside was also really cute and quaint. They have a full bar with options for beer, wine, cider and craft cocktails. We had the goulash sandwich, and bratwurst with lobster spaetzle and an apple strudel for dessert. Everything was flavorful and delicious. The portions were big and the prices were moderate. We had great service and everything was clean. All around good experience and we will definitely be back.

Food is very good and memorable. If I lived in the area I’d come often. The nut crusted fish was amazing. The German dumplings with the mushrooms were so layered with flavor in the sauce. And the dessert was decedent. Many items are gluten free, including the fish. So I was very very happy!

This place is a gem… we have been going to this restaurant for 7 years (ever since we moved to the area) and each time we thank our lucky stars! The owners take great pride in the food they present, and are there all the time. The staff is consistent, which is always an indication of a well managed restaurant. The staff is also lovely, knowledgeable, and accommodating. The setting, location, and attention to detail is superb. Our 2 children love this restaurant, and there are very child friendly food options on the menu, that also deliver a well balanced meal (not junk food). This is a place to be cherished.

Wow. What a gem. Beautiful scenery, delicious & thoughtful food, what more could I ask for. Their menu has a little something for everyone and their cocktails were very good. This was my first time trying German food and it did not disappoint. Definitely sit out on the deck for an amazing view. I can’t wait to come back !!

What a fantastic place. The food is incredible, the servers are genuinely pleasant and kind. This place is a perfect mix of fancy and family friendly. We had jager schnitzel, short rib which were both fantastic options

The four of us had a very nice early dinner yesterday. The portions were very generous. I had the German short ribs with red cabbage. The meat was melt in your mouth tender. Two in our group ordered the Wiener schnitzel and spaetzle and the serving size left enough for another meal. Good value & great service. A charming building with nice views of the mountains. We'll be back when we're back in the area for sure.

LOVE THIS PLACE!! There's NOTHING BAD to say about it! From the food to the deserts/ baked goods...YUM!! 😍 My Hubby and I are "working our way" through the menu!😋
I will say, if you see ANY "Cara Cara Orange" deserts available.... I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND them!

My husband and I stopped here for lunch on our way to Angry Orchards. Rosie, our server, was absolutely wonderful. The restaurant itself was clean, beautifully decorated, and felt very comfortable. The food was AMAZING. My husband got their sandwich of the day and I got a roast pork sandwich- mouthwatering. I wish I could take the whole restaurant back home with me! If you like German foods, definitely stop here!

If you are looking for some great German food this is a great place to visit.

We had the The Pumpkin Ginger Soup, Fried Artichokes and a German Pretzel with a special dipping sauce OUTSTANDING!!

And for Entrees : Spicy Eggplant Schnitzel and German Short Ribs, both were flavorful and delicious - a must stop if in the area

We have been coming to this pleasure nook for years! Fabulous food and the views are so beautiful.. so many different sitting areas.. just a gem of a place.. great destination place to set your appetite in. And a bakery to boot!

Delicious food and a very accommodating staff. We were 8 adults 1 child and a dog. We were all sitting outside, then it started to drizzle and they put us inside. (Dog had to go to the car with his owner) Everything was awesome.
Each of the authentic German dishes had a modern twist. My favorite app was the artichokes and the chicken salad was the sandwich I ate and it was tasty. My husband had the ribs and they melted in your mouth. Also at the table, several burgers and everyone said they were juicy. Pork schnitzel was enjoyed as well. We will definitely be back.

We always take my husband here for fathers day since it's one of his favorites. We are mostly of german background. Food is great and the side deck is really nice.

Fantastic German food, and a great outdoor area for when the weather is nice. I honestly haven’t found a German spot in the area that can compare and I’ve been coming here for post-hike lunch or early dinner a lot during the summer/fall. It can get a little crowded during summer/fall weekends so plan for a little bit of a wait, especially if a larger party.

I drive by this place just about everyday and yesterday I decided I was going to try it out. Immediately realized it was a fantastic decision. The staff was attentive and very nice throughout my time there. The food came out fast and was amazing the burger had me filled up and wanting for more, the fries might be the best fries I’ve ever had no lie. I really enjoyed the cake it was sandwiched with mint chocolate chip ice cream which I enjoyed a lot. Overall very excellent come here with sone friends and family and have a blast.

Super delicious menu that changes with the seasons. Tasty creative drinks and baked goods, and great views in the indoor and outdoor space.

Pro tip: entree portions are huge, and for 2 people, an entree with two appetizers and dessert is the perfect amount of food! But it also tastes great as leftovers :D

07/03/21. A true Phoenix! After a year of closure due to a fire, this has risen from the ashes. If you didn’t know the background, you’d think it was another restaurant in the vintage building. We arrived for an early dinner, and were directed to sit in the bar as they were expecting a full dining room (and it happened!). We had delicious meals from an ample menu. Nicely presented by an attentive staff. The bar was stocked with many local spirits. Not a long list of beers, yet enough for a varied palate. Thank you for making the experience so nice again!
