Lumber Yard Restaurant

A landmark resturant in Perry NY which was a lumber yard at one time turned into a resturant. Clean tastefully decorated plenty of seating friendly prompt service. The lumberyard has a nice fresh salad and soup bar which is included with entree. Fresh bread and butter are included by the server. The broiled lemon pepper entree was delicious and the menu offers sides. My choice was the twice baked potatoe included with the fish entree. Delicious as well as the broiled fish. Reservations are highly reccomended.

The price of the meals where a little more than expected. The food was good but I have had better.

Best dining experience ever! Our server, Meegan was incredible. Water when we sat down and throughout our meal. Delicious bread was brought. The Soups; Seafood Supreme and Beef Vegetable were homemade and excellent. Brimming with a lot of Beef Steak and vegetables...so good. Homemade potato salad at the salad bar...I was in heaven! Our roast beef was tender and so MUCH! REAL mashed potatoes covered in slightly salty beef gravy...that was so flavorful; better than mama used to make. It was so worth the 18.00 or 19.00. Chef Travis was called a Wizard by one of his peers and Every detail takes it to a 5 star level. Can't wait to go back!

Best time in a long time !! We were heading to Elmira for a hockey game and randomly chose the lumber yard for a late lunch early dinner, We got there around 2 on a Saturday. The waitress, Chris was great , very friendly, very informative . The food was excellent I had the big cut of prime rib, no bone , hardly any fat just meat ! My son had the biggest juiceous wings and wife had the chicken and artichoke , all unbelievably delicious!! The salad bar was how a salad bar should be , all fresh , assortment of toppings and dressings . I Also partaked in some of the ribs and at a buck apiece at early bird time , delicious, so much food we took home left overs that were eaten the next day . This joint is about a hour and a half from our house but we will be taking a drive to go back for sure . I would highly recommend this restaurant , it has an old school vibe to it with unbelievable food and service!!

It was a cool repurposed lumber yard ...with a sea food heavy menu ...with dishes for kids to ballers between 15 and 73 bucks ..I got the prime rib cheese steak..18.99 . ..my wife had the sea food linguini(28.99ish) that comes with soup and a salad ... we also had the bacon wrapped scallopps ...and three different desserts raspberry cheese cake blue berry and lemon bar cake..service was great food came fast but it early at 12 pm on a Saturday...

We went for a early dinner on a Saturday around 5pm. Good thing we did. This place must be the local favorite. It got full fast. I honestly know why. Excellent American food. It all was deliciously scrumptious. From the prime rib to the twice baked loaded potato to the chicken wings to the cosmopolitan. The French onion soup was perfect. It was my personal favorite of the night. But it all held its own. Extremely friendly staff. The waitress was super great.

We were visiting from out of state and wanted a nice sit-down Valentine's meal. The Lumber Yard absolutely delivered! Prime Rib was fantastic! Very friendly staff! Would recommend!

Went for a work gathering. The service was wonderful, and the prime rib is excellent! Definitely want to go back again. The salad bar and French onion soup are great, too

Prime Rib........need I say more. 🤤 The service was the best part. Beautiful restaurant, cozy environment. Clean facilities. Plenty of space for a large party or a romantic table setting for 2. Options for kids. Fresh salad bar and delicious Homemade soups. Oh and HIGHLY recommended the lemon blueberry cake!

What a find. Sort of middle of nowhere NY in an out of the way part of town. Prime rib and Parmesan crusted Scallops were honestly next level. Scallops were melt in your mouth awesome and the prime rib some of tge tenderest, tastiest I've ever had. Morgan was so great with service. This place is well worth a 4 hour drive honestly.

Quaint place with interesting history. Loved the atmosphere. Chicken Neptune was very good and fresh. Salad bar had nice selection, fresh. Haylee was awesome. Very personable, friendly and answered our questions about when it was an actual lumber yard! Loved it.

We decided to go to the Lumber Yard restaurant to celebrate our anniversary. We had been there in the past and knew it would be worth the drive. We were not disappointed - the food and the service were excellent. We both decided to have the Prime Rib and Scallops combo. Perfect! No room for dessert, so we got that to go.

Update 9/24/23... food was a bit salty the last time we were here, but given what we were served today, the need a new chef. Everything was over salted and swimming in fat - even the vegetables! I was drinking water all evening (at least two quarts) due to the salt. Service was acceptable but nothing special to warrant a shout out. There were only two other tables and the place was eerily quiet - low background music would help. I doubt we'll go back. Too bad, it WAS a nice place to meet friends and eat.
