A big thank you from a long haul trucker to you guys. I got tagged in a post from you guys, and figured I was in the area. I've been having a rough couple days, and the kindness I was shown by the staff was incredible. I barely had the air brakes on before a waitress came out with a menu to take my drink order. I didn't catch her name, but she was very friendly and welcoming.
The food was incredible, clearly homemade, good portion sizes, and absolutely delicious. I felt truly appreciated here. If I'm ever able to visit again I 100% will.

Wish I could give 5 more stars pulled tractor trailer on there lot and was met by a very cheerful young lady took drink order when we got those she took our food order. She waited on other trucks and managed to handle the situation like a pro. Food was great and paid for by donations which surprised both of us and the free slice of apple pie was awesome!!!

Nice place to stop in for some great comfort food. It's a dinner like the good ol' days. Good food. Good options. Great prices.

Stephanie, the owner, was on site. It's clear that this family owned and operated establishment is intent on sticking around.

I had the mushroom burger. Delicious. Lots of cheese melted over a generous portion of fried mushrooms, onions, and green peppers.

My wife and daughter had the fish and chips. Amazingly good. The challenge with battered/fried fish is that it is often too greasy. Not this fish.

I also chose to add the salad bar to my meal. A great addition for only $3.69. Fresh lettuce and condiments as well as coleslaw and potato salad.

All in all a great place to stop. Right off the 75 so it's worth it if you're on a road trip to pop in.

1st time here for breakfast and it was awesome. Huge portions and really good prices.

Very nice place, excellent Senior menu and the cod was nicely done. Salad bar had a variety of fresh vegetables and prepared salads.

Good food. The wait staff was great. They were short handed on staff during our visit. Abbey our server did a wonderful job, she was the best server we had during our 4 day trip. You would never know there was an issue. The food came out fast and hot. Nothing fancy but very tasty. Great value for the money. We will be stopping again when we pass through.

I have been going here since I was little. I used to go here with my grandmother as a little girl and my mom and now we carry on the tradition with me, my daughter, and my mother. I LOVE this place. We came here Thursday and was given our menus within 5 minutes and checked on frequently and even the manager checked on us. They were friendly with my toddler. The place is ALWAYS clean and this will always be my go to spot.

First time I've been there was tonight. It was very good food. I had the all you can eat chicken. Got a baked potato and the Cole slaw.. oh my goodness the coleslaw tastes exactly like when my dad would work all day making homemade real coleslaw. Except dad made us wait 2 days to eat it. That kind of coleslaw. So it made me think of my dads cooking. The chicken was just like dads to. And the waitress was really nice.. very accommodating to my wants. I appreciated that. She looked out on my jalapenos for my potato.. thanks Lucky Steer. Cant wait to return for other food tries. 👍👍👍👍👍🥰

I had seen on many truckers Facebook pages about this place helping truckers out at this time. I told my husband about this place as he is on 75 coming from Michigan heading to Florida with a load. He decided to try it, they were awesome with him and he said the food was great. Just have to give them a call to place order. His bill was just over 5 bucks. Can't beat a full dinner for that. Just remember like I told him, give them a good tip they don't have to do this. He said it is easier to get the semi into the parking lot at the first driveway. Just a heads up to any other drivers.

The restaurant was clean, the staff courteous, the service was prompt, and the prices more than reasonable. I tried items from the breakfast menu and everything tasted perfect. The cuts of bacon were thick, large, and the eggs were done exactly the way I prefer. I will definitely stop by again the next time I'm in town.

Great mom n pop style restaurant check website for specials. All you can eat fish or chicken days are the Best! Nice salad bar. Staff is pleasant. Never had a bad meal here. Wish I lived closer. I would visit much more. Enjoy your meal.

A great diner! I have been never disappointed. The Lucky Steer is a great place for breakfast/brunch. They have a nice salad bar. The Lucky Steer is popular, so parking can be a problem...

I highly recommend the Western Omelet with the home fries (sliced).

I have never been to this place to eat but I'm definitely going to give them my service anytime I'm in the area. They have posted on social media that any truck driver needing to eat is welcome to sit in there lot and enjoy the food they have ordered and will also give all truckers a discount on their bill. This shows great patriotic people. I'm a truck driver and I wish more restaurants would atleast serve us food. Wiscould give you more than 5 stars

Always friendly, courteous service provided here with delicious homecooked meals. My husband enjoyed his county-fried steak with mashed potatoes and gravy. My grilled chicken salad with ranch dressing was very satisfying, too. Unfortunately we had no room for some yummy pie.

Good home cooking, only 4 wheelers in parking lot, but truckers if you are stuck at the Western Star getting you truck fixed its worth a huber to try this food, its old school dinning. Good price

As this is a small town eatery, the staff was absolutely amazing and very friendly. The menu items offer a pretty good range of food items to match the customers appetite. I would recommend visiting this great food establishment regardless of you are passing through of just need a great place to eat. We highly recommend this place for breakfast, lunch, or dinner!

Very good food, great staff, They have gone above and beyond too make truckers lives a bit more tolerable this last few months. feeding us and going the extra mile delivering too out trucks with a smile.

I travel for work to a lot of places. Sometimes I stay in the Magnificent Mile of Chicago and eat at some high class high dollar restaurants.
This little locally owned restaurant has better tasting food then some of the big name Chicago restaurants. Now I have only been there once but I will stop in my next time through the area.
Not fancy just down right good food.
