West's Bakery

This place is a must see and eat. We drove 15 hours because my wife wanted there bismarcks. They cannot be duplicated. ANYWHERE.

I have been going here most of my life. Hometown feel. The best grinder rolls I've ever had. Kind of ruined me because now I compare all grinder rolls to this place. My second favorite is the cold pizza. The only thing that stinks is that I can't always get pizza strips because it's been sold out. Which is a huge Downer. Third fav is there Bismarcks or doughnuts.. Bismarcks are pillows of heaven in your mouth. Absolutely delicious. Will always love this place! Great food and service. Love when I lived in Hope Valley. My belly was always happy. Call ahead if you want to guarantee your food.
My uncle came in 2022 to get Bismarcks. I told him those aren't West Bakery Bismarcks since I have been eating them for most of my life. They looked smaller, in different shapes, and when you eat them, the filling comes right out. Have no idea why, after having perfection, they're went and changed them.
Went in 2023, and Bismarcks are back the way they used to be. Yes! Was so excited. Got my grinder and my Bismarcks. Was very, very happy

Discovered West's bakery on the way to the country club this year and if they don't have the best blueberry muffins I've ever had then the cranberry muffins are!
Shout out to Lexi and the staff thank you for the great service,you will find an full breakfast menu and a great attitude you have to try the Italian bread I usually don't like bread any where south of Providence make sure you get there early, before it sells out. On a road trip to the Carolinas had to take a dozen muffins with me to blueberry country and they were a big hit!!!;

Best Bismarck I've ever had. They were very busy but the service was great. Delicious egg sandwich on a croissant. Best bakery around. I can't wait to go back.

Ok, lets get this out there. These bismarks are so good , if there was 4 left and I was next in line Id bid on them lol.But on top of that the sandwich was perfectly made and fresh !! Thats whats up <3 Awesome all around. And very fair prices.

I found this place by accident searching for a place to eat on the internet. When I saw what they had as far as baked goods, I had to give them a shot. They are known for their bismarks (basically a fried piece of dough split down the middle filled with raspberry preserves and sweet cream). Locals buy them by the dozen.

I opted for an omelet and 3 bismarks to go. For the future, I'll get a dozen for the road trip back to NJ.

Not only some of the best food! But the most caring people in the world, I had a seizure in their restaurant last Friday and if it wasn't for them and there customer's I might not have not be around any more! I am so grateful for the caring and thoughtful people in that community who took the time to help me. I will always be in your prayers and thoughts thank you and will be there for some Bismarcks soon! 😘

Little place. Very busy. Good food but not too much on plate. Great Bakery items. Small selection. Would like to see bread covered instead of on the shelf by customers open however...

Hidden gem in our fair city. Fantastic food and service . Very busy. Parking is an issue and so is getting into the lot and getting out. Don't get blocked in by errant "parkers".

So you may already know that they make the best breads and desserts but what you may not know is they make the best grinders on the east coast! I would give you a photo but i ate the grinder to fast and now its gone....🤦‍♂

Stopped by on our way back to CT from the Cape on Thursday. No baked goods...so we did what anyone would do to have a Bismarck...we drove back to RI from the New Haven area on Friday!! The Bismarcks didn’t disappoint! Friendly staff and great service! Well worth the trip! We’ll be back👍🏼🎉 Thanks!!

I recently had those delicious Bismarck’s again. It has been awhile. I did notice or taste something different than I remember and it seemed there was less taste of raspberry which was lost in the whipped cream. I hope they add a smidgen more raspberry.

Good place, good food, great bakery..took a little time to get our breakfast, but real good. Love it.

I love my Providence area Italian bakeries, but all the way down in Hope Valley is another bakery that has my heart, and it's West's. My usual is half a dozen each Bismarcks and pizza strips. Someday I hope to sit down to breakfast or lunch here, too. This place is an absolute jewel.

The bakery is good. The grinders are the best. The jelly donuts are very good. All the food is good. Then I was a kid Mr. West would wrap our cake in a box with twine. The smell was beautiful. Now the bakery is only open on weekends. Of course, we miss Mr. West and speedy. Thank you to the West family for all your service to the community.

GREAT bakery! They have amazing muffins, pastry, etc. Get there early as by noon they may sell out of Bismarks, etc. A testament to their delectable delights!!!

I really enjoy their breakfast sandwiches, had a ham, egg, and cheese on a grilled bagle this morning... delicious. Omelets are always awesome, and I hear that their deli sandwiches are good ( I've never had one).

I highly recommend West's, just check their hours before you venture out.

Wonderful little place.
Had the eggs Benedict very good and cooked just the way I had asked!! Big bonus.
Known for their Bismarks. Nice and fluffy and light.
Will return.

The Bismark stayed frozen on the trip home. Thank you. It was a little slice of home out here in the mid west. Love you guys.
