Wallys Cafe

My husband and I recently visited Wally's Cafe and had an amazing experience! It’s got all the perfect, homey, family-owned vibes that you just know is gonna make some great food. It’s definitely worth the longer-than-usual wait! Your patience will be rewarded.

I ordered their twist of a famous dish, the Wally Cristo, which was an absolute delight with its combination of fry bread, bacon, cheese, and a sprinkle of powdered sugar. It’s served with a side of rich, creamy apple butter that I should have ordered extra off. It’s deliciously sweet. What unique and delicious meal! A beautiful execution of the classic dish!

The Farmer's Omelet was packed with flavorful ingredients that satisfied my taste buds. It was jam packed with the goods (sizzlin’ bacon, sausage, ham, cheddar cheese, seasoned country potatoes) perfectly enveloped in FOUR eggs (they’re not stingy) and smothered in hot, yummy sausage gravy for only $12.95. No lie, this is one of the best omelets I’ve ever had the pleasure of eating!

The service was EXCELLENT. The waiter was a one-man show and he was doing great, but it was getting busy. A patrons, I’m assuming regulars and/or friends, got up to help pour coffee and clear tables. It was so wholesome and a pleasure to witness.

Overall, I highly recommend Wally's Cafe for their creative and tasty menu options. This is a MUST-TRY! I will be returning this summer to try their famous, signature dish - Mama’s Breakfast Pot Pie.

Stopped at Wally’s Cafe for the Mama’s Breakfast Pot Pie and coffee. It took 20 minutes to arrive on the table. fortunately there were plenty of warnings that it would take some time to prepare. The pie was spectacular! Their menu describes it as “Brimming with seasoned potatoes, fresh homemade sausage gravy, bacon, ham, sausage, and scrambled eggs, topped with a buttery flakey crust, and a light cheddars sprinkle, baked for 12 minutes.” I’ll be coming back to Salmon ID just for that pot pie.

Visiting Salmon from out of state, my hotel recommended Wally's Cafe for breakfast. My favorite place to seat is often "the counter" (observing all the action). Excellent service! Nice people to visit with and Mama's Breakfast Pot Pie is an "over the top" awesome treat - excellent flaky crust and tasty ingredients.

Very warm and welcoming service, coffee delicious, they keep it warm for you. Breakfast Pot Pie is the best

Wonderful small town place with friendly local service and charm. You have to try the breakfast pot pie! Right on the main street within walking distance of local shops and all the charm of a little mountain town. I highly recommend stopping by Wally's Cafe and going for a walk downtown to check out all the other treasures and the shops that they run!

Fantastic food, friendly staff, and cozy space!

We stopped in on our way through town and will 100% come back! We tried the breakfast pot pie and it was to die for! Highly suggest getting a scone as well.

Amazing food. The chicken fried steak and gravy was the best! Super crispy crunchy and creamy gravy. The sirloin steak was also seasoned and cooked perfectly. Definitely planning to eat here again.

Loved this place, if your passing through it's a definite must stop. If at Breakfast time you have to try the Breakfast pot pie. OMG!!! Yummy. Oh and say hi to princess, you may be lucky enough to catch her on a dress up day.

Go visit Princess, do it now! She's super awesome and adds her touch of dinner theater to your experience. The food is amazingly delicious, cooked up by the owner herself and she knows what she's doing! She was so nice to make my plate off menu and it was SO yummy! We will definitely visit any time we're in town.

Tried Wallys for the first time today. Cute diner. Friendly service. Food came in timely fashion and tasted great. We will return again.

Service was a bit slow but there's only one waitress that day. And she was very sweet. The breakfast was exceptionally good!! We left a good tip. Definitely would return when we come this way again.

I seriously love this place! Small town feel and comfort, INCREDIBLE food, and the best staff ever! Princess is the best waitress. If you have the time to wait, I highly recommend the breakfast pot pie! It's unique but absolutely delicious. Also had a belly buster. Just a wonderful place to go and enjoy good food and great company.

One of the best breakfasts I’ve had. Well worth the hour wait. That’s the only downside to weekend eating. Lots of people means longer wait. However, we were seated right away and the staff was wonderful. Our food was delicious! Definitely recommend.

I don't know if I've had a better experience in any of the restaurants I've ever been in even including five star restaurants in Las Vegas. The staff was incredible friendly, and a delight. Your drinks were always kept full, The coffee was always warm and conversation was impeccable It was an experience that I will cherish for years to come. Oh and the food was incredible!

Everything is really great. A little slow but all of the food is homemade! So much with the wait!

Great breakfast spot friendy staff I had the breakfast pot pie it was maybe the best breakfast I've ever had freshly made pot pie stuffed full of ham sausage bacon eggs onions and a little green pepper with gravy it takes awhile to cook but it's definitely worth the wait if you have time

They serve a breakfast pot pie. It is called Shepards Pot Pie. It was out of this world delicious. The flavor was so good.

The pie is filled with all your breakfast favorites, lots of meat and smothered it gravy.

Good homemade biscuits and gravy. I was rather doubtful that they were going to be on par with what I’m used to, being from the South. I was very pleasantly surprised. Next time I’m in town I will be back.

Sweet lil mom & pops breakfast Cafe! The food was great...I recommend the breakfast pot pie! Delicious!
