Jon and Erin are the best! It felt like we were staying with friends and not just another Inn. Can't wait to go back for hockey so we can stay there again!

Sacajawea Inn is a gem! At 1st glance. i wasn’t sure what I was going to get, but oh my gosh, this place is great.
I came to Salmon for a wedding with my family. They had a suite/house (3 bed, 2 bath, full kitchen, living room) everything we could need. They have a fire pit in the common area, stocked with wood for a great place to hang out. The staff is very welcoming and accommodating with any of your needs. You can’t go wrong staying here, I know I will definitely be staying here again.

Really just a lovely place to stay. The owner is great and has made the rooms inviting and wonderful. Good value and a homey feel. The bed was super comfy. Staying here makes you appreciate the non-chain motels and all the charm and personal touches that small business owners have to offer. Will definitely be returning.

My friend and I were going on a road trip through Salmon, up through Northern Montana and Idaho. I booked this online, as a place to stay, returning from there.
I noticed the hand painted murals in the pictures on the website. My friend loves wolves. I called Rachel a few days later after booking online, and asked if we could be put in the Wolf room, and told her about my friend. She happily made sure we got that room. We got in at 8:30 pm and received excellent customer service. The rooms were so clean, recently renovated and decorated so nicely. There is a huge big screen TV with great sound. The beds were so comfortable We also had two dogs with us on our trip, and It was so nice to be able to step outside, and walk our dogs around back as well as go walk and sit in a nice area with a fire pit and benches.
They are still doing renovations, and we hope to see it finished next year, as we will go to Yellowstone through the northern entrance and absolutely plan to stay at Sacajawea Inn again. Rachel was so wonderful to us, and especially to my friend, who needed and deserved a really nice road trip, after taking care of her mom, who had dementia. Rachel knowing about my friend and her love of wolves did something extra special for her. Her caring and kindness was so very touching and deeply appreciated.
I highly recommend Sacajawea Inn.

This is one of the coolest places I’ve stayed in all my years of being on the road! George, Rachel and their girls are beautiful people!
They made me feel more than welcome. The room was super fun! I stayed in The Jackalope room. Equipped with a book called ‘Song of The Jackalope’ (which I read) The bed was more than comfortable. Very clean bathroom. Hot shower and, and, and……..
I highly recommend The Sacajawea Inn!!

Was here for many weeks working the Moose Fire from July-Sept 2022. The staff was awesome, room was very clean and laid out as expected. The staff bent over backwards to make sure the room and my stay was great. Absolutely no issues, clean room, new furnishings, great location and tremendous bang for the buck.

This Inn and the people that run the Inn, are one of a kind! There are not many people left in the world today that will completely go out of their way to make sure you are taken care of before and during your stay with them. I ended up staying here 2 different times and each time was a 2 week stay. My friends back home always wanted to know which mural room in which I was staying. They are fun little cottage type rooms that are updated with comfortable beds. I truly appreciate the hospitality that was shown to me during my stays at the Sacajawea Inn.

We stayed here for a night on a road trip, and it was great as far as motels go. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, everything was clean (and they are in the process of updating beds, appliances, TVs, etc. Our room was complete!). Logan the dog roams the grounds, and is so sweet and friendly. This is not a fancy hotel, so don’t expect that. For the price point and for the location though, I would certainly recommend.

The lady who owned the place was very nice and friendly! I would definitely choose this place to stay again! It was such a nice cozy pleasant place! They offered a $3 breakfast in the morning, and there's a jar to pay by the honor system-plus tips if you want. We thought it was well worth the $3-so we left a tip as well!
Very nice private bathroom, with a shower! They even provided towels for you! We just camped in a tent for the night, I don't know how well the rooms were...but I did over hear another lady who was staying in a room talking to the owner lady about how nice the place was! I'm pretty sure if you choose this place, you will not be disappointed....and if you are, well I guess you are just way too hard to please anyway!

I can't say enough good things about this adorable little place. First off, the staff we're so sweet and very accommodating and funny. We had the "Buffalo Room" and it was just that! The room was HUGE with 2 very comfortable queen beds and a full kitchen!!!!! The room had a beautiful buffalo painting on the wall and buffalo accents through out. We absolutely loved our stay and can't wait to come back again!

We rented a tent spot to stay the night. The grass under the willow tree was nice for a couple of tents. The owners were more than gracious hosts and we're willing to do whatever was needed to make the stay great. The $3 hot breakfast was great addition to the stay, and was excellent. The grounds are manicured well and keeps the place looking inviting. Very good experience that you shouldn't miss.

FYI this is not a 5 star hotel, it is a 5 star review rating of an inexpensive motel. It's a great value (Best value in Salmon IMO), locally owned and cared for. The mural painted on our wall in the "Wolf room" was beautiful! Plenty of space, fridge, microwave, king bed, all clean. Best of all PET FRIENDLY😀!! And eggs made to order in the morning for a few bucks. Would definitely stay again.

I want to send a huge thank you to Barbara! Every time we come, the hospitality is amazing! Each time we come here our experience is better than the last time! The huge fire pit in the center was a great place to let us relax after being on our bikes all day! And I loved that you put microfiber towels on our doors for us to clean our bike with! That was awesome!! We enjoyed you guys coming out and hanging with us! We love Barbara and her staff and SRB will be back!! 💕💕💕

Awesome stay during my visits to Salmon. Rachel and George treat the guests like family, come as a stranger, leave as a friend!

Just returned from a 3 night stay at the Sacajawea Inn. The rooms are a great size, clean, and the owners make you feel like you are just part of the family. The breakfast is great, and a highlight was the fire pit. My kids love roasting marshmallows. Thank you to Walter and Barbara for making our stay GREAT!
