Hot Tomato Pizza

Love this place! Had their calzone for the first time today. It’s just as awesome as the pizza and Stromboli. If you’re in the area or just passing through, be sure to hit the Hot Tomato.

This place is awesome. Great pizza, great vibe. Even as a great, best I've had, gluten free crust. Staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. My friend has an extreme gluten allergy. I order my favorite pizza, one ingredient had gluten. The staff came and informed us, instead of just making it and hoping for the best. Even let us sub that ingredient for another topping. Lifesaver and delicious.

It's worth the drive from Kansas City! Love their crust. Had the Bob Steve this time. Walk in, the line may be long but moves pretty fast. Had my pie in about 20 minutes from the time I ordered.

For years we have always loved coming here! The food is organic and handmade! The people and staff are always very nice and welcoming! The environment is very comfortable, inside and outside! You just can't go wrong with this place or anything on the menu! This is a staple in the community and an ABSOLUTE-MUST for everyone visiting the area! We will always recommend highly and will always come back!

The quintessential essence of being in Fruita - Ride Bikes, Eat Pizza, Repeat! Daily slice specials, monthly pizza options, all your usual house specials as well as amazing salad options (make sure to try the Desert Heat Dressing). Grab a seat at a table, the bar the out door patio or get it to go and eat in the park or community seating. Snag some souvenir swag on your way out, you can always use another pair of socks :) And if youre ever there during peach season order that - you wont regret it!

The food is amazing and the staff is friendly and welcoming. My husband and I vacation in Grand Junction at least once a year for hiking and this will become one of our go-to spots. We needed one more, and this is it! No need to try any more pizza places, lol. We had tried a few different places over the years and we are so happy to have found this restaurant.

So I’m sitting in camp, off the Aspen Rodge trail, at 10,200’ and a few mountain bikers stop for a rest. I offer them water and it came up in conversation that I was going to be driving to SLC the next day. So the mountain biker told me that I should stop by the Red Tomato Pizza in Fruita, CO for the best pizza in the mountains. He wasn’t wrong.

Awesome service, vibe, and pizza. Love the bikes everywhere. Eat pizza! Ride bikes! Beer selection was really good and the patio is super cool. Priced right and it's seriously some of the best pizza. Stromboli was great and so were the pesto bread sticks.

First time trying but loved the atmosphere and the the staff was so friendly. I ordered a granny slice and a Stromboli. Prices were nice and I even got some stickers. Would definitely visit again

Fantastic little pizza joint. I would highly recommend going here and bringing the whole family! Great pizza and beer selection. We got the dill-icious pizza which is pickles, dill, bacon, onion and white sauce.

We always stop by here on our Spring Break trip to Utah. Their pizza never disappoints. The added bonus is the yummy gluten free pizza I can get. We also like that we can order on our way in so that we don't have to waste an hour stopping to eat. The calzones are large and were enjoyed by my son as well. I love all the outdoor seating as well!

The pizza dough is way fresh and taste better than any other pizza dough. The pizza is so delicious. The staff is VERY friendly. I love going to this place to eat after riding. Looking forward to coming back.

I am from Illinois and when I come to visit my brother, Hot Tomato Pizza is always where we go. It's a fun atmosphere, the pizza is incredible and we like to grab shirts and sweatshirts to not only remember the moment but also enjoy the fun sayings they come up with. A favorite for sure!!

The wife and I stopped in after a day of sight seeing as we were both pleased with our slices. (I did have to try a bite of her pesto pizza too) The pizza was all delicious and the highlight is the crispy crust; the cooks did a great job and let only a bit of the crust to blacken which gave the slices great texture and flavor. The generic slices of pepperoni and sausage were both fantastic.

My favorite pizza place on the far western western slope! The Stromboli is maddeningly delicious and will make you want more. The crust on the pizza is good enough and I can’t complain. The beer taps are mostly New Belgium with a few local taps here and there. Staff is as awesome as the food, would recommend always!

Great pizza slices and Stromboli. Pizza thin and crispy. Excellent pesto. Good craft beer selections. Friendly service. With COVID, the street block is closed and there is a nice outdoor seating area. Will be back whenever we're near Fruita.

Came here after seeing the Patagonia movie. From experience, many of the featured venues do not live up to expectations, but we were happy to find that the hot 🍅 did!! Great pizza dough.. unique flavors, cool merch with decent price points for a "boutique pizza place". Worth the visit!!

Whenever I am passing by Fruita I have to stop by Hot Tomato, they make the best gluten free pizza! Even tho it’s 2023 it is still hard to find a place that makes a really good gluten free pie, it never disappoints!
