Golden City Chinese Restaurant

I order food from Golden City about every Sunday. Love their Fried Wongtons, Wongton & Egg Drop Soups. The fried wongtons barely make it home. My food is always hot. Their combination platters will make you full. My wife loves their Pork fried rice and I adore their House Special Fried rice. Remember that good food takes time. Chinese takeout is not fast food.

This is a very small place. It's basically set up for delivery & pick up, tho there are a few tables & chairs in the restaurant. The food is incredibly good. They will work with you if you need to tailor a dish to dietary restrictions or taste. I highly recommend it!

I see all the bad reviews and can’t agree . I been ordering here 16 years . I never had 1 issue with the food or the delivery . Once they swiped my card twice but they fixed it right away . Food is always fresh and we order many items as we are a family of 6 .

Agree with other reviews, this is a NY Style hole-in-the-wall. Garlic sauce was spot on. Veggies were al dente. Portions large. They even honored my request to hold the rice. Extensive menu. Great find!

Love the food here. The closest I've had to traditional Chinese. The pork fried rice and chicken wings is my favorite but the chicken low mein is great too with a side of garlic sauce

This place is my local spot. I’ve been ordering from these guys for over two years. They are very consistent, the customer service is top notch. They are very affordable, so I don’t know why they are listed as $$. My food is always piping hot, well cooked, and evenly sauced.

I am very particular about how I like my vegetables. I hate when they are mushy or raw and crunchy. It’s always perfect. Sometimes they get busy because they’re amazing. The delivery time can be up to 45 min, but they’re worth the wait. I’d rather wait for good food. I love that they haven’t raised their prices despite being very busy in a tough, competitive industry.

Great Chinese food. Always fresh hot and fast service. Always order so much food because it's so good. Definitely recommend the beef teriyaki and the honey chicken. Also the sweet and sour chicken and the beef/broccoli are always must haves.

This was my first time stopping here for lunch but it sure won’t be the last. THE FOOD HERE IS WONDERFUL! I tried the Chicken LoMein. The portion was generous and tasted wonderful. I split it with my wife who agreed: we found a new Asian food place to call home. Interestingly, it is very close to another great, independent restaurant, Tibby’s New Orleans. SUPPORT INDEPENDENT LOCAL RESTAURANTS! This one is an easy call. Excellent food.

Ordered online, quick service, good price, large portion. Way better than New Hong Kong nearby. Since I’ve posted this I’ve ordered a few more times without issues for pick up.

For along time this was my favorite take out place. For a while the quailty seemed to take a turn and we stayed away. My hubby decided to give them another try and they were back to delicious. Glad we gave them another shot. I hope they keep it up. Best steam dumplings in town and amazing lomein.

Just eat here once every 2 weeks for years, live 3 minutes away, lol. It is good food, plentiful for price. Good service. And they always try to stay open right after hurricanes pass so regulars can get some fresh, hot food. I've never had a problem here.

place is off the chain! very, very good! NY style if i might add. has the General Tso Chicken with prok fried rice, delish!!!!! will be back soon. will take a pic next time too ;)

Best Chinese restaurant I’ve had in a long time

This is the best Chinese food we have had in a very long time it is very very good and everyone there is very polite and it's just a great atmosphere very welcoming .

Best delivery in the area and I’ve tried them all. We order quite often. Food is always fresh and good. Order has always been correct. Delivery is pleasant and fast. My only criticism is that I wish the person answering the phone spoke clearly better English. Most of the time I have a hard time understanding her English. I would probably order more if I could communicate but I just have to play it safe and ask no more questions than I have to.

Regular Chinese hole in the wall with great delivery. Fixed a delivery order, left the original, and wouldn't take a tip for coming out again. That's righteous.

Went to pick up dinner and took a chance since it was near my hotel. It was great!!! I am super picky and everything was better than expected. I would definitely return. Very fresh! Great flavors! Huge portions. Highly recommend! More of a take out place then an eat in place. Oh, and they take AMEX. Hard to find in Chinese restaurants.

Golden City Chinese restaurant make the best food ever I've been going to them for years and years and I live far from them and I don't mind traveling far to get what I like And they treat me really good and they also treat all off my family's good.
