Palmer Electric Company

10/10 stars for Palmer electric which I do not own. Our house power failed last night after weeks of flickering. We called another company who claimed to have emergency service at midnight and stayed up for hours awaiting a call back. Finally we went to sleep to awake at 7 am and call Palmer. A qualified technician called us in 30 minutes (at no charge) and told us to call Duke to confirm it wasn't their issue. Duke said within an hour it was house not them. Palmer was out within an hour thereafter with ample communication during that time.

Come to find out the main line connected to our main service box had fried and could have actually caused a fire. Thankfully it didn't. Around the time (10 am) we had a prognosis from Palmer at a reasonable non-emergency rate the other company called us back but we already had a resolution. They would have charged us $250 for a service charge far above what Palmer charged.

We found out from Duke that Palmer is one out of three preferred vendors and we were in good hands and many other companies would have charged a service call without ruling out them first. All this to say we are Palmer customers for life. I will also talk to Palmer about making their yelp say they have 24 hour service which deterred us from calling them first as yelp said they were closed versus the other company who obviously didn't really have emergency afterhours service.

PE is awesome! They came out within 5 days and chased down a mystery problem. We thought we had a bigger issue than it turned out to be, so we actually saved a ton of money using PE. Our electrician, Michael, was very thorough and worked VERY quickly to keep the cost down as well.

Want to just let folks know that Wil Reddick did a great job walking me through a diagnosis over the phone and helped me get the power back on in my home. . His knowledge and coaching no doubt saved me hundreds of dollars with no service call needed. I would highly recommend this company for your service, repair, and electric needs!

We had an entire breaker panel fail due to the electrical storm we recently experienced in Orlando. We are a small law firm and the entire second floor was without power. We found this out on Sunday. Wil Reddick came out and evaluated the situation as we needed to restore power on the second floor. Wil was able to get the parts and make the repair on Sunday night and restored power to our entires second floor. Wil was there until nearly mid-night making the repair. He was extremely professional and very nice. He knew our situation and that none of our staff could work without power or air conditioning. He was amazing and was our “Superman” for helping us out
and restoring our power. Thank you Wil Reddick. You are an asset to Palmer Electric!

After obtaining three estimates for replacement of my electrical panel, I decided to go with Palmer Electric. They provided a reasonable estimate for the work and the electrician did a great job.

We needed a wall outlet looked at so we contacted Palmer Electric. The electrician who came out, “Will”, was amazing. So knowledgeable, assured us that he could take care of it and did so in short order. And we thought the price was very reasonable for the work he did.

I want to say thank you Wil Reddick for the prompt call back and helping trouble shoot over the phone. Your awesome man and your company should be proud to have you in their employment.

I used Palmer Electric after Hurricane Ian to replace my meter box and electrical riser on my home. A tree had fallen on it rendering it useless. John from Palmer Electric was immediately responsive to my call and came out same weekend to quote me. The quote was very reasonably priced! Ed from Palmer Electric responded and completed the work did an Amazing Job. They scheduled me from 12-4 pm; however, Ed arrived at 9 am way ahead of schedule. Palmer Electric set up the inspection and called the utility service for me as well and I had power the same day install was completed.

Exceptional company! Palmer Electric is always fair and professional! Their electricians are very knowledgeable and they always provide a realistic and reasonable estimate up front. On the one occasion that a job was outside of the quoted price, they were extremely fair and transparent on the resolution. After numerous disappointing experiences with other companies, I have finally found an electrical company I like doing business with!

I had a great experience with Palmer Electric. I had to have my main circuit breaker and meter base replaced. I opted for a few other things to upgrade my service and add generator hookups.

The original call was handled in a day (as well he tightened up a few things to ensure we wouldn't have problems before the work could be done). I received a written estimate in a day. When I approved the work and put down a deposit, the work and ALL associated work (permitting, scheduling with Duke for power down and restore) were scheduled within a few weeks which is impressive considering the coordination required.

I did have lots of questions about all of this and did call the office a few times between scheduling and the work to ask questions. The staff was always more than happy to talk to me and explain how things would happen. As well, I requested a few changes to the original quote and these changes were added without issue.

The quote was very reasonable for the time and materials that were required to do the work. I did get another quote from another local electrician I had used previously and the were within 100 of each other. I just got a MUCH better vibe from EVERYONE at Palmer that I had contact with. They all seemed very happy and more than willing to work with me.

The day of the work, they showed up at exactly the time they said they would. Ed was a pleasure to work with, he got the work done very promptly and the result is very professional looking.

It was refreshing to see them interact with other companies (Duke and the City permitting) so professionally and cordially.

I will be using Palmer for any of my electrical needs in the future.

They did wiring for my oven setting it from gas to electric. It was a very smooth process the staff is very friendly. I will be coming back with business again if I ever have electrical problems.

I have had a recurring issue with a breaker for 5 years. I've had several electricians fail to fix it. I had two ridiculously expensive estimates to do more work than necessary to fix the issue. Bob from Palmer Electric quickly identified and fixed the cause of the tripping circuit for a small fraction of the previous estimates. Honest, reliable and fair pricing. I highly recommend Palmer Electric.

We were having power issues with an area of outlets in the kitchen. My problem was diagnosed with another company and was told the main breaker needed to be replaced. That company was unable to complete the work order the same day as guaranteed so I opted for a full refund. Blessing in disguise really. I reached out to Palmer who with a full schedule still came to see. Turns out the lugs for the breaker needed tightening and no replacement was needed. Save me hundreds of dollars. Unfortunately integrity is dying with these sort of services. Not the case with Palmer. You folks are awesome!!!

I called Palmer Electric yesterday and Will Reddick was here this morning - quick response. Will was so polite, neat and efficient. He quickly diagnosed our problem and repaired it. He explained everything to us while he worked. He did a great job and cleaned up his work area when he was done. I was impressed and and very pleased with the cost of my service. I would definitely call Palmer Electric again and have Will as our service person.

My first thought was, are you kidding me right now?! They are so thorough, helpful and totally gave me peace of mind right off the bat. Thank you Will R. and Alonzo!! They handled the debacle of my electrical situation in my kitchen with care and knowledge of all things electrical. Pretty much nothing was up to code. Then when the bill came, I was pleasantly surprised. I chose Palmer Electric due to their reviews here and so very glad I did. I first called Palmer to get help installing 2 fans & to fix my bathroom lighting. They got the job done the 1st time at a good price.

I was so happy with their work that I called them again to set up my home security system. They did a great job too! I love that I can monitor my home from my phone! I also get alerts when my alarm is "on" or "off" and I can control remotely my lights & thermostat. Thank you Palmer! You are the best Orlando electricians I have worked with!

What a great experience with Palmer Electric. I had an issue with my doorbell. The doorbell got stuck and ended up causing the chime box to overheat. (This produced a loud buzz and awful smell). I felt very uncomfortable (read: unsafe). Wil was amazing! Prior to his arrival, he discussed the issue with me on the phone. He identified the issue right away and replaced the parts as needed. Wil was very thorough in explaining the exact cause and steps needed to fix the situation. In addition, he answered MANY electrical questions I asked that were unrelated to this problem. I called palmer Electric about an alarm fault we had on our backflow for the fire suppression system on our building. I spoke with Allison and she was super nice during the whole interaction. Asked what our concern was, and confirmed it on her end. She said she would have a technician out to us to take care of the problem. She wasn't kidding, we had a tech here in a half an hour! That's with no prior appointment or notice. I cant say enough about the service that was provided by Palmer, Allison, and the technician. They fixed their end of the problem in less than an hour and referred us to our sprinkler company to repair the backflow tamper switch. During the repair of the switch we needed to have our system placed in test mode, one more call to Allison and within 30 seconds we were in test mode and the tech was working. Great service by Allison.

Palmer Electric Company did an outstanding job replacing our Federal Pacific Electric (FPE) electrical panels. Their workers, John R and Alonzo A, are extraordinary. They knew exactly what to do and did it very professionally. Palmer is fortunate to have such competent employees. I will definitely use Palmer Electric again if I need electrical services.
