Lake Chippewa Campground

Had a great time camping here! Our camp site was right on the water with a private beach. Bathrooms were super clean and nice. Would totally go again :)

Beautiful campground with some much to offer! The beach offers floating mats for the kids to play on. Peddle Boat, Kayak and water bike rentals. A beautiful lodge with an arcade and awesome snacks and ice cream. Would highly recommend!

Nice campground, site 98 was dirt, fhu, sandwiched between alot of seasonal campers. Nice site, friendly staff. Laundry facility nice 4 washers, 4 dryers. Swim area was nice, water is really clear with sandy bottom. Close to Hayward for shopping and eating out.

Lake Chippewa Campground is arguably one of the best in the area! It’s got a main lodge for supplies and treats, lots of great sites, both on and off-water. There is a pump out station for your camper sewer and a boat launch with gas available for purchase. If you can grab an on-water camping site, you won’t be disappointed!

Great place to camp with the family. Beautiful playground, nice porch at the lodge to sit and watch the kids play. Plenty of site options for full hookup and super helpful staff for us as novice campers. Plenty of space for our 34' trailer as well.

I have been coming to this campground since I was a child. Their sites are great, the views are incredible, and their staff is helpful and friendly. Their lodge offers games, ice cream, snacks, and some camping staples. If you visit without a boat, they can be rented from the campground.

Friendly staff and clean sites. No service with AT&T, but there's paid WIFI you can get. Lots of equipment rental options. I came with a teardrop camper to do some solo camping and kayaking. Location is perfectly situated among hundreds of acres of water.

Hands down our favorite campground! Loads of affordable fun for the entire family. Large, clean, peaceful sites. Great fishing. Beautiful views. Friendly, welcoming staff who are genuinely happy you’re there! Definition of what life should be—fun, peaceful, and simple! Highly recommend. You won’t be disappointed.

About to hit 9 years coming up to the same site. Staff is so helpful and office gals are amazing and someone is always there and remember you from last visit.

The Lodge has fryer food and scoop ice cream, essentials, some souvenir clothes, and a large arcade. There is a playground, small disc golf area, water balloon war area, and another water play area. There is a beach if you don't have a water site, and most of the water sites are sand bottom and great for swimming. There are golf car and pedal car rentals. They pick trash up twice a day, and have hot showers available in multiple locations. They have a train available for kids a 10 min tour of the grounds pulled by a gold cart. Fun for grown uos too! This is a pretty large campground, but its super popular. Call on Jan 1 to book a site or risk not getting in. The lake is HUGE. Its great for fishing, cruising and water sports. I love it and I think you will too.

Really fantastic place! Perfect for families and people who love to he on the water. We had a spot directly on the lake and the breeze was perfect during the day and stunning views! They have cabins and smaller homes for rent which looked brand new and pretty spacious. Camp sites have full hookups and accommodated our 37 ft RV. We even had a boat rental of a pontoon that made for a fun day. Clean, friendly and professional.

Beautiful campground staff is very friendly and helpful. Awesome fishing opportunities will be coming back up from Texas in the future

Been going for almost 30 years. Everything is spaced out so nice. It's not one camper on top of another which is great! Always super clean, beautiful and well taken care of. We really love it!

What a beautiful, well kept and family friendly campground! We loved the grounds, amenities (especially boat rentals) and game room. We took several long walks around the grounds and loved the fall foliage. The staff was super friendly and very helpful. We look forward to our return next year!

This place is great. They have everything: primitive sites, rv sites, cabins, kayak rental along with a variety of other watercraft, a great beach, very nice lodge style store with eating area and a huge patio, playground for the kids, arcades, games to take outside, trails to go for a walk...I can't think of anything you could add to a campground to make it better. They also worked with us when our group unexpectedly got larger over Labor Day Weekend, they have trash pick up twice a day so the place is very clean, firewood is delivered to your site, seemed very family oriented. The lake is huge with islands to give a little cover from the wind if needed. It's by far the best campground I've ever been to and I've camped all over the U.S. including Alaska.

We found Lake Chippewa by accident. I saw how much water surrounded it, knew how much my partner loves water, and took a chance. So glad we did. The campsites are well shaded, reasonably priced, and chocked full of amenities. The evidence abounds the family business loves their campers (both new and returning). They start taking reservation

Amenities for kids, parents, and any guest are plentiful: playgrounds (wet and dry), beach, watersports rentals (human and motor powered), and excellent service to boot. Restrooms are cleaned daily (if not more frequently). Showers are coin-op. If you buy firewood by mid-afternoon, you get a price break and free delivery to your campsite. The lodge contains a small general store, snack bar (pizza, ice cream, and fried foods). Note: The campground does not take credit, debit, or virtual currency. There is an ATM on site.

The pace of life at Camp Chippewa is exactly what you'd imagine when lakefront camping - relaxed.
